Nelson Spruce (Colorado) - 13 catches (school record) for 172 yards and 1 touchdown (long of 71)

Michael Bennett (Georgia) 3 catches for 34 yards and 2 touchdowns

I like these players and there are a few more just getting started ie Anthrop from Purdue.

I'm getting a bit disinterested in the NFL as well as frustrated so I remembered that alot of White athletes are having success in D1 right now. Here's our top FBS guys in the country.

Devon Allen clarification

Probably going to sound crazy here but I have seen two different references proclaiming that Devon Allen is part black. One stated his dad Louis is black and played baseball at Ohio State and another made an off hand mention of him being not all white.
A few things. He looks white to me and there is a picture of his little sis as a kid and she looks white but I am pretty good at this but I have not been able to ID his parents yet.
This site does a good job figuring these things out ie Cajuste out of Stanford who I originally thought was mixed but it turns out he is all white.. So all you detectives out there I need your help on this one . Simple I think he is white but goddarn it I am sure all of you want to be positive about this so I ( we) can friggen relax about cheering for Allen. Sorry for the confusion but I want this settled once and for all. Thanks.

Other than the earings (which you do admittedly see a few white guys wearing these days..) there's nothing to suggest he has any black in him whatsoever that I see. I'm nowhere near as good as somebody like Thrashen on this, but he looks completely white to me... he's got "white" hair and blue eyes. Those DWFs are just saying that because of his speed. They can't fathom that a white guy like Devon could be that fast. I follow soccer over in Europe, and Allen looks nothing like even guys that are 1/8 black like Ross Barkley or Ryan Giggs.

His dad is Louis Allen, a software engineer in Arizona, and was an athlete at Ohio State. I can't find a picture of Louis.

We won't know if Devon Allen is all-White until he gets to the NFL and they compare him to Wes Welker and put him in the slot.

Sorry for ruining your day based on one post of a guy who I considered white from the pics I found. Geez. Also, the last two years of Baylor football previews have him listed as somebody to watch as well.

I guess I wasnt very clear, Im not annoyed with any of you, I went looking for forums where dwfs were classifying him as black, and THOSE ppl ruined my day. I guess I am so used to talking in here when I read stuff about how blacks are just more athletic, can jump higher etc. because they have more fast twitch muscles from a few centuries of slavery. Apparently slave owners bred cotton pickers to jump high, didnt know cotton grew on trees. I don't know what I expected from dwfs, I guess I thought things were getting better, reading that is just disappointing.

But yeah Hawthorn personally i just cant root for him, but i am more lenient when it comes to others like rb because I guess desperation for a white rb, hypocritical I know. If dwfs consider him White I guess thats all that matters. As far as previews sometimes the pics can be too small for people to guess correctly. Holtzclaw was classified as White here for EMU for 3 years but when he got charged with rape people on here was offended that he got lumped in as a White guy, go figure.

I'm basing this on just this picture, but, is this guy even an issue? If he's not white, I'm not real sure who is (likely the point of questioning it). He has no black features at all. He looks like every Scotch-Irish kid I grew up with. Are they claiming he's 1/64th Melungeon or something?

If anything, he looks "sneaky fast", and has all of the qualities of a gym rat that runs good routes.

agree that devon passes the eyeball test and looks white. The problem lies with those dwfs on other boards who have to look for reasons why he has to be athletic because they believe whites cannot be athletic so they are trying to attribute it to the fact his dad is part black because they believe a white cannot be athletic. Let's hope it's a mistake and his father is actually white. I Have nothing against him, but since dwfs will attribute any of his athleticism to black skin it's frustrating.

I was hoping for one of those definitive answers but from what I can tell it is up in the air -- it seems. Again I am pretty good at this-- one glance at Cajuste's parents and I knew he was white. It maybe as suggested here we will have to wait and see his parents (father) front and center.
This whole thing is putting me in a bad mood. Anyway thanks for the input and we can expect more until this issue is closed. Again gun to my head I say he is white but WE HAVE TO KNOW FOR SURE. I don't want to be rooting for the wrong team!

I have read on the T&F webiste that Devon's father was black, and I have seen pics of him and he is definitely black or half black.
That said, Devon doesn't look black to me at all.

My guess based on this is that Devon is white, that his mother married a black guy when he was young, and so he took his black father's name.
Again, only a guess based on what we know so far.

The kid is white. I've actually spent the last half hour digging up every picture and video I can find of Allen. This kid is as white as I am. There dosen't look to be a middle ground like with Tennessee wr Vic Wharton. Maybe its not his biological father though I read when Allen was in high school he served on the black student union or something which in itself is racist but just making a point.

Unfortunately, the evidence that Leonardfan posted seems legit. The facebook pics provided in Louis Allen's profile are clear that he is the dad and that his father is black. Just look for yourself if you don't believe, it's all public. So it appears Devon is 1/4 black. Unless of course, his mother remarried this ugly mulatto and Devon took the last name?

Either way, I'll root for him in the same vein I do Tyler Gaffney. No matter what DWFs say, he's still of majority White genetics so they can STFU and attribute his athleticism to that!

I agree with Freethinker and jack. I feel that his mother has to have remarried. I don't think there's any way he could be one 1/4 black. If one would look at somebody like Ross Barkley from Everton or Ryan Giggs, who are both 1/4 black, and compare how they look to Allen, it's not even close. Allen's got blue-green eyes and wavy hair, which those two don't have. He looks like a white kid I was in High School with a few years back. Ronda Rousey is 1/8th ******* and her mother while not looking Black, doesn't really look White either, she looks more like a Semitic Caucasian. This guy if he is 1/4 or a shade less ******* is the most Caucasoid looking Quadroon I have ever seen.
