Buffalo @ Cleveland tonight. Hopefully Brian Hoyer does well, while I'd like Kiko Alonso to have a big year I'd prefer he have a mediocre game tonight. Hopefully EJ Manuel puts on a stink fest again this week. If Cleveland wins tonight they'd actually be leading the AFC North I believe. Couldn't happen to a better division.

The browns have what appears to be a top defense. I too would like see alonso with a nice game but I still Want the browns to win and pick apart supaquotaback. A benching and tuel time sighting would be nice.

Some reports seem to indicate that Danny Amendola is likely to play this week against the Bengals. From the always-vile “RantSports.comâ€â€¦

Things appear to be on the up-and-up for New England Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola. As of today, ESPN Boston reporter Mike Reiss said that Amendola “seems to be moving well.†That would put Amendola on track to play in Sunday’s tilt against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Yeah, right. I predict that he won’t play and neither will Rob Gronkowski. Every single week these two injury-mavens are listed as “probable,†yet they don’t even travel for road games, let alone see how they feel in pre-game warm-ups. This situation has become especially frustrating since New England has had such an impotent offense and these two players could easily be among the statistical leaders in catches, yards, and TDs. At least Edelman, the NFL leader in receptions (with 34), hasn’t succumbed to his yearly stint on IR.

Hopefully, when Amendola and Gronkowski finally return, the starting receivers will mirror Week #1 against Buffalo (Amendola, Edelman, and Thompkins) and Gronkowski will become the dominant player he was back in 2011-2012 before breaking his forearm.

In the coming weeks, New England should start 9 whites on offense: Brady, Amendola, Edelman, Gronkowski, Solder, Mankins, Wendell, Connolly, and Vollmer and two on defense (Gregory, Ninkovich). If FB James Develin or reserve TE Zach Sudfeld happen to start the game in certain offensive packages, New England could feature 12-13 white starters out of 22.

Pats signed Austin Collie
Awesome news. The Pats better be smart enough to play him on the outside. Amendola and Edelman can man the slot. If Collie is fully healthy, he is easily better than Thompkins, Dobson and Boyce. I think this signing also indicates that Amendola will not play this week.

I love it! This means he is healthy enough and he will produce big numbers with another Hall of famer in brady. New england would have the whitest receiving Corp with amendola gronk collie and edelman. I think collie will start with amendola eventually.

Stunning news! Three white receivers, all of whom have played both inside and outside, on a single unit! Collie apparently took the spot of Vince Wilfork, who went on IR. When Amendola returns, does this spell the end for rookie Josh Boyce?

The Pats currently have 25 whites on their active 53-man roster.

Great news on Collie. Now let's get Shipley where he belongs, on an NFL roster. There must be some teams out there who's receiver's upside hasn't outpanned (you heard that phrase here first) and need another capable vet.

I'm pretty sure a white man (Vollmer) took the place of Wilfork who is out for the season. That would make 3 on defense and potentially 9 on offense when Gronk and Amendola return.

Sebastian Vollmer is the starting RT and has always been on the roster. I believe you’re referring to DT Joe Vellano, who also made the 53-man roster, as he was never cut/waived/released by New England after training camp and pre-season. Therefore, I'm pretty sure Collie took Wilfork's spot. From the Mormon publication, “Deseret News”...

The Globe reported Collie could take Vince Wilfork's spot on the active roster. Wilfork may be placed on injured reserve after he tore his right Achilles' tendon, which knocked him out for the 2013 season.

Think of the drastic change in “team culture” in New England compared to Collie’s former destination…The Bug-Eyed Psychopathic Wigger’s San Francisco Hell-Hole. From “USA Today”…

The opportunity could be a showcase of sorts for Collie, who might be only a short-term fix for the Patriots as they wait for receiver Danny Amendola and tight end Rob Gronkowski to return from injuries. By getting on the field and contributing – and proving he can take a hit – Collie might convince another team to sign him if the Patriots cut him loose.

I truly hope the best for Collie, a young family man with two young children. Even if this doesn’t prove to be a “new beginning” to the second half of his career, at least he’s being given a chance to shine in the fairest possible offensive environment. At this time three seasons ago, Collie was having the best campaign of any receiver in football and looked entirely uncoverable before sustaining his first ghastly concussion. If only Pierre Garcon had been playing in the slot that day.

FYI, I believe I solved the “mystery” of Joe Vellano, who looks like a white Italian at times, and a Mexican other times. I found this photo of his father, but the only photo of his mother is inconclusive…

Regardless, he certainly passes the eye test in uniform...

Say it with me guys.....Collie, Collie, Collie. I'm very happy he got another chance and what a team to go to. He might have a chance to play in a Super Bowl if he can stay healthy and the Pats were to know off the Broncos. Way to go New England. One of the few classy organizations left these days.

Some news about Tebow. Rumors are the Jacksonville is going to sign him but no official news just yet. I hope it's more than a rumor. The amount of money they would make off the guy would more than make up for signing him to a minimum contract. They are stupid to even continue waiting. He should have been signed a month ago immediately after N.E. released him. Come on Jags. Get this deal done!

Since it's Hispanic Heritage Month. The Patriots or the league would gladly announce his Hispanic heritage if it existed. The lack of Hispanic players in the league makes the league turn over any rock or stone to find a player of this ancestry. For once I would love for a player that had a Mexican great grandfather tell some reporter he was a shocked as they were that he was now a visible minority.....:twitch:

I fully agree. Joe just looks like many Italian Americans I've known in all my years in the tri-state area. A matter of fact, one of my best buddy's father is Italian-American and his mother is from Spain. In the summer when he gets really tan, he's basically Mexican brown. A few years back he rocked a hearty beard and we joked and called him a "terrorist" because he looked arab.

I think Sudfeld was cut to make room for Collie actually.

I would like to see Miami pick up Sudfeld. Our group of tight ends is all black and pretty lousy. Charles Clay is alright as a FB/TE hybrid but Michael Egnew is flat out awful and Dion Sims doesn't look to be anything special either. Ryan Tannehill could really use a reliable tight end to help him out with his development.

DWFs are going nuts over Collie's concussions. This made me remember how Chad Johnson was too stupid to learn the Patriots offensive playbook. If Collie can learn it, then he'll have proven his brain is in better condition than Johnson's. Of course this won't stop DWFs from campaigning their team sign the wife beating "black Mexican".

Second down of the game Hoyer with a perfect pass from inside the Cleveland ten could've been a TD but for a butter-fingered receiver. Even the commentator/analyst called it a high school level mistake. Maybe it is my imagination but based on the four or five games I've seen this year the receivers seem to be even worse than in previous seasons.

Just as the DWF announcer was saying Manuel was the second best QB in the draft (he had Geno Smith #1) he almost threw a pick.

If the Bills got rid of the black quarterback they would be up to 8-9 white starters.

Cleveland I think starts 7 whites with more than a few white subs.

The announcers just sounded like they watched their puppies get run over and then shot.LoL
