A few thoughts:

Mayock keeps emphasizing on how the coaching staff is making it easy for ebony jenkem easing him along. In other words, they are dumbing down the offense for a 1st round black quarterback.

Mayock is foaming at the mouth talking about Manuel. Manuel should have gotten hit harder at the knee.

Tuel looked composed and in command when he came in and would have had a TD to Chandler if not for the hold.

It looks like Weeden has got his job back.

Mayock: Tuel doesn't have the arm strength of Manuel.

Uh, it was a comeback route Mike and the receiver was held.

Who'd have thought these two teams would produce the best TNF game we've had so far this year.

Mayock brought up a good point. Tuel probably hasn't had any first team reps so I don't know why he keeps throwing it to Woods who he has no chemistry with.

Tuel time is over... staring down receiver.
It's a shame Tuel couldn't take advantage of this opportunity.

If Manuel's leg is hurt Tuel might start next week with a full week of practice with the first team.

That might help. He made a great throw down the field that had a lot of zip that went off the fingers off Graham.

I bet the dwf's are in panic mode that their supa black quarterback might miss some time due to injury. The hit could have been avoided by running out of bounce. Supaquotaback ...all brawn..no brain.

I saw Chris Hogan had 2 catches for the Bills. I believe this are his career firsts, so he'll at least be in the record books now. Congrats to him.

Kiko Alonso and Kyle Williams both had huge statistical games in the loss.

Sad to see Hoyer go down as he was playing really well. Glad to see Weeden play well though. If I had my choice between the two I would go with Hoyer though - I think he just has a special quality about him.

Nice to see the black quarterback get knocked out of the game. Alonso should be the DROY if he keeps up his play.

Do you really think it would have mattered if Tuel came in and played great ? Even if Manuel was injured for a few weeks and Tuel put up 300 yards and 3td's in 3 consecutive victories Manuel would still get his job back when he got healthy. Remember the NFL adage "You can't lose your job to injury (unless you're white)"

I'm all in favor of Jeff Tuel getting a chance to show his stuff, but isn't it a little excessive to be happy that someone else was injured?

Not at all. If Adrian Peterson broke his everything I'd do a jig.

Oh, you delicate flower. Go back to picking daffodils, snuggling with puppies, and eating sugar plums.

I suppose we should all feel some deep remorse and save our prayers and best wishes for a multi-million who bumped his knee playing a sport for a living. Good grief. :icon_cry:

I don't actively root for black players to get injured but if they do get hurt I can't say that I'm disappointed.

Last night, in the moments before Jim Leonhard’s first punt return, the bi-polar Mike Mayock kept assuring us that Jim was “just a safe punt returner without electrifying ability,” that “he’s a huge downgrade from the speedy Leodis McKelvin” and that “he’s more quick than actually fast.” Leonhard promptly flew past the all-black Browns gunners for 25 yards.

Collie was cut from the Patriots so he knows some of the playbook

No, Collie had a one-day workout for the Patriots a few months ago but was never signed. He was cut by the 49ers after pre-season. Please do the proper research prior to posting.

Alonso, even as a rookie, seems to have all the football instincts and electrifying playmaking-ability of Luke Kuechly. Through 5 games, Alonso has 44 total tackles, 1 sack, 1 FF, 1 FR, 4 PD, and 4 INT. Forget “Defensive Rookie of the Month,” he could be the DPOTY. Last night, one of the announcers accidentally referred to him as “Cocoa Alonso”…perhaps a “Freudian Slip” as a result of seeing so many chocolate-skinned players on the field. Alonso was compared to the ultra has-been, tackle-missing, utterly invisible Plump Polynesian, Troy Polamalu, when he leaped over the line during a goal line stand…

Tuel didn't play all that well in place of Manuel but that brings up another new facet of the current black quarterback revolution. In the old days the team would keep a serviceable veteran White QB on the bench for just this type of situation. However what kept happening is that whenever ol' Whitey would go in the team would *surprise* play better. The league managers quickly realized that any black quarterback experiment is hugely undermined by having a good White QB in reserve so plan B was implemented.

Teams now stock very unproven White rookies or other black quarterbacks behind their precious negro starters so even when they slump, suck, or invariably get injured (because they are always running like they are still playing college ball) then the back-up is usually not effective enough to stop the black quarterback from returning.

Ask yourself this. Would Buffalo have had a better chance of winning if Ryan Fitzgerald or even Matt Leinhart was still on their roster? Either of those guys may have been the best QB in the stadium last night. Another example of the best players don't play, often they aren't even allowed to be on the roster.

Supa 1/4 back Manuel has sprained LCL and will miss a few weeks. It is truly tuels chance to give the coaching staff something
to think about.

Tuel needs to become best friends with Scott Chandler if he wants to have a chance of making a career out of this opportunity. The best thing he has going for him is a 4/5 white o-line who won't be purposefully tanking it to protect their bruvas job when he gets back. Can't trust the receivers to both try hard for him and catch the passes. Needs to try and get Hogan in more packages, who was effective in his short amount of playing time.

If he is able to pull it together quickly and go 2 for 3 over the time the afflete is out, the Bills could potentially be a team to root for. Not a lot of teams even have 3 on D to begin with, much less another 5-7 on Offense to go along with it.

Seconding the Chandler suggestion. I confess I didn't watch any Bills games last year, but he was on my fantasy team last season and there were a number of weeks when he got me a lot of points that made the difference between me winning and losing. If given a chance he is a productive athlete.

I'm more excited about Kiko Alonso than anyone else from the Bills or Browns though. What a monster.
