Interesting group of games today. Yes the Blackhawks victory was disappointing, but the two other close games went our way, Pats and Vikings with wins. We have to remember days like this when we think all the odds are stacked against the whiter teams. Even though some of the qoutabacks won today there were hardly any convincing performances by the magical ones.

Matt Ryan almost led a comeback. Bet he wishes he had some sure handed white wide receivers.

I hope Locker is ok - it looks like this season was going to be his breakout season.

All the black quarterbacks played mediocre at best. It looks like Chip Kelly really made the right decision to anoint Vick the starter... Hopefully Foles is put in as starter at some point. Glennon played decent in his first start but no worse than any of the black quarterbacks. Geno Smith continues to be a highlight reel of bloopers, Buffalo lucked out against Flacco since Baltimore decided to run it 10 times all game even though the genius Ozzie Newsome has not been able to build a team around Flacco.

Great to see Maehl get some catches under his belt. I was afraid he was headed for a two and out on the practice squad in Houston. Just hope more success for him doesn't make Riley Cooper seem expendable.

Cooper's a superior blocker, which helps his cause quite a bit. It's pretty clear that he's not going to put up good numbers as long as Vick is the starter.

It'll be interesting to see what the fallout is in Philly this week from another bad loss. The defense is bad, but it's clear that Kelly's offense needs a heady quarterback that can read defenses and make very quick decisions. Barkley is ideal for it, but Foles should do well also and has a little more NFL experience than Matt. But I fear Vick will be kept as the starter far longer than he should be for the usual racial/political reasons.

Creepy Chris Collinsworth fell in love with New England’s rookie wide receivers last night. For what I don’t know, it was insidious propaganda.

Good news on the injury front, Locker reportedly out 4-8 weeks pending further tests. The injury is not believed to be season ending which was initially feared. He could still have a breakout year.

Vince Wilfork has a torn achillies and is out the rest of the year, Joe Vellano will certainly start as the Pats are very thin there and he played well filling in for wilfork, recording a sack .

Given the amount of racism and discrimination they face, sometimes White players need a stroke of luck and catch a break to make it in the NFL. I believe Chip Kelly (Maehl's college coach), and the Maclin injury which opened up another WR spot are the only reasons he's playing in the NFL today. If the league was run on merit and not AA, Maehl would have been a mid-round pick who would have made the team from day one as a solid WR3 and on his way to carving out a nice career.

Instead, he was facing the very real prospect of spending a few years wasting away on the fringes of the league before his PS eligibility ran out and never to be heard from again (Mike Haas, anyone?). Hopefully, his good fortune will continue and he can work his way into the rotation and establish himself, and can therefore survive with or without Kelly.

Really good week so far. White quarterbacks continue their mastery (except for Eli Manning who's been terrible) while the black quarterbacks all struggled to varying degrees. Woodhead had his best game as a Charger and seems to be quickly becoming Phillip River's "guy". Standout defensive performances by Jared Allen, Chad Greenway, Ryan Kerrigan, Brian Cushing, Kiko Alonso (leading the NFL in picks as a LB!) and Sean Lee (a tackling exhibition unrivaled since Luke Kuechly's days at BC). Good week for our receivers too and a special acknowledgement for Julian Edleman for going over 100 yards. I'll be pulling for Hartline to do the same tonight to cap the week off nicely.

On a more pessimistic note, the running back situation is still a disaster other than Danny Woodhead. Peyton Hillis still wastes away in free agency while scubs like Willis McGahee, Mike Tolbert, Jackie Battle, Brandon Jacobs, The Lawfirm and countless others continue to collect pay checks. Toby Gerhart and Brian Leonard are both so criminally underused it's almost satire at this point. Is it any coincidence that the only number 2 running backs that continuously get zero carries a week are both White? Is Doug Martin so revered already that he warrants 100% of the carries every week? After all, this strategy is certainly not paying off in wins. Rex Burkhead has yet to receive a touch on offense as well.

Fun (infuriating) fact: Rookie Jet's FB, Tommy Bohanon, is the leading White running back this year after Danny Woodhead.

Tannehill with a 26 yard run on some read option type stuff they're doing. Good to see them utilizing Tannehill's athleticism and not just relegate the read option for black quarterbacks.

Tannehill gets to run the zone read! 26 yard rushing play for Ryan. But Wallace made a big stink about getting a bunch of tds this week about it being his hometown blah blah, first target goes to Wallace. Hope they don't forget about Hartline. Even our 1k White receivers, seem to get ignored on prime time tv

all they needed was a qb sneek, rb can't make one fat dlineman miss in space

Looks like both teams starting 4 whites on offense and 1 on defense (if Vaccaro is indeed white - I cannot get a good look at him).

Oops - I was wrong. Only 4 palefaces allowed to start for both teams. Vaccaro and Ozick actually have the proper pigmentation.

Tons of teams with only 4 white starters this year - Steelers, Saints, Miami, Raiders, Bears, 49ers, Carolina to name just a few off the top of my head.

For the Dolphins, that is courtesy of one Jeff Ireland whom with the exception of the kicker, had another exclusively all black draft this year. Perhaps they'd be winning this game if he picked..... you know.... more of those white guys that he seems to be allergic to.

or they could have just used Hartline for tonight. He has caught everything. Gruden just diagrammed the sluggo slant and go, yeah where is that play for Hartline? he runs tons of slants, send him down the field, also could use the hitch and go. This game was tied at one point and could been a back and forth shoot out if Hartline was used correctly

If Peyton Manning played every single down, and continued passing in blowouts like Brees does you could easily multiply his stats by 20%.
