Hall of Famer
Although the Colts are a darker team than some of the previous, they still have a few bright spots, notably QB Andrew Luck and TE Coby Fleener. Here is an article that is about WR Darrius Heyward-Bey and how he is dropping balls left and right in no-pads practice. In the article is this paragraph about another Stanford alum, Griff Whalen:
Based on what is said in the article, for what reason would Whalen NOT have the opportunity to pass up colossal mega-bust Heyward-Bey on the depth chart?? Oh yeah, no mystical magical upside.:wacko:Another receiver who has done very well so far is Griff Whalen. Griff has to feel very comfortable this season. He's catching passes from his college quarterback while being coached by his college offensive coordinator. He has shown off some impressive catches as well as running some great routes to gain separation from the defense. Although Whalen isn't going to be passing Heyward-Bey on the depth chart anytime soon, his strong performance early in training camp is promising for those hoping he makes the roster.
