Cooper Kupp now holds the FCS freshman receiving record for touchdowns in a season all by himself. what a talent he is! 20 touchdown catches on the year! so far …

and with EWU up by 14 at the moment, he may have a chance to add to his total.

I love watching Stanford play. They have a incredibly tough game against ASU tonight and the winner goes to the Rose Bowl. ASU has been unbeatable at home all year long but Stanford is off to a good start. Gaffney had a td run of around 65 yards and they have hit a few deep balls too. Hoping Stanford can pull this game out but it will be a nail bitter. If Stanford wins, it will be their 2nd consecutive Rose Bowl. As I'm typing this Tyler Gaffney just scored his 2nd td of the night. They are going to have to score all night long to beat the devils. Come on Stanford!

Gaffney 69 yard td run, good blocking but also, great burst up the sideline to avoid being pushed out of bounds going all the way

the db with the angle wasn't even close even though he had over 60 yards to close in on him with that angle

Winston looking average so far for the 1st quarter, looks like that might have been a gift td, looks like the receiver didn't secure the ball all the way down and had it bounce down as he hit the ground in the endzone, no real review and they kick the extra point.

Mich st up 17-0
edit: now 17-7, having trouble stopping a few big runs by Miller

Duke afflete defender had the ball threw right to him could have changed momentum but he dropped it and FSU went up 17-0

Stanford's Devon Cajuste with 2 catches for 120 yds! He's a very big target 6'4" 230; but he play WR not TE.
They have another WR Jordan Pratt with 3 catches for 56 yds.

Stanford shows what football should look like without the caste system - a mix of black and white players at all positions. And, contrary to popular belief, having many white players - even at 'black' positions, doesn't make them any less good.
They are ranked #7 in the country.
I give a lot of credit to Stanford. They haven't lowered their academic standards in order to follow the caste system. And yet they are a top 10 or 20 team for several yrs now.

Yes, Stanford is fun to watch, the spread was really fun for a while and still enjoy it, especially with more White receivers getting a chance, but its nice to see a ground and pound team like Stanford, especially with a White tailback and all those White tight ends, and a White receiver making big plays. The announcers said they wanted to convert Cajuste to tight end but he insisted that he play wide receiver, and looks like they made the right choice.

If it were another team I would be surprised, afterall, only team to offer Gerhart at tailback, and have Gaffney, and from Harbaugh's team now I don't think he pushed that hard for White guys and just worked with what he was given. Maybe I am wrong, I know sometimes coaches don't have as much control over rosters as we think, but I am sure many coaches become arrogant and want to think they can win with whoever you give them, which is what Petersen from Boise now at Washington is probably thinking. Like someone said, if his recruiting classes aren't ranked in the top 25 he is going to get a lot of flak. Its a shame one of the most creative minds in offense has all blacks (Auburn, Gus Malazhan). Speaking of that game, what happened to this "SEC Defense" it was like 59 to 42. At least Georgia uses SOME Whites.

Hopefully Leach gets some more White receivers like Welker and Amendola, thats when a spread team was fun to watch.

I didn't see any catches by a White player for SMU when I had it on in the background, which is another fun spread team to watch (well run n shoot, but the coordinator is Hal Mumme, who actually jump started this airraid spread stuff, Leach comes from the Mumme coaching tree, Mumme was the coach of Kentucky with Tim Couch). To make matters worse watching SMU, Prescott Line didn't get many carries, instead a chunky converted affletic linebacker got some, and only got yards with huge holes, nowhere the elusiveness of Zach Line, haven't watched Prescott but he definitely looked better running the ball than what they used.

Duke finally puts in the White quarterback? they could have had a much better chance if he was in there earlier. The black quarterback has a shoulder injury and had to get it worked on the sidelines between every drive and its been bothering him for weeks. Yet he started and played most of the game, 31 attempts, 87 yards 0 tds 2 interceptions, thats 2.8 yards per attempt.

and I think that last drive was a fumble when he was trying to throw and FSU recovered, letting Winston have a Heisman moment where he ran in for a td. Duke's defense has been on the field all game long, with many mistakes and missed tackles and bad coverage, oh well. Winston will get the Heisman now.

This will be the worst bowl season ever.
there haven't been many good ones, at least Stanford will be in the Rose Bowl.

This will be the last year of the BCS, so hopefully it will get better, I don't know the exact set up though.

Glancing at the FCS playoffs, I was thinking this is more of what college football should look like, at least most of the matchups I have watched, the Southland conference is pretty dark, but they have Bennett who was voted best player in the conference. I wonder how some of those skill players would look inserted on top teams right now.

afflete spears the only White receiving target on FSU, number 35, who has made some crucial catches to extend drives.

announcer for the Southeastern game "you need to just hit the hole, no shucking and jivin in the backfield" haha

Southeastern's Bennett just drove them down the field with a little over a minute left in the 4th quarter to get the lead, going 6 for 6 80+ yards i believe passing. Has 286 yards passing 2 td 1 int, 83 yards rushing on 19 attempts 4.4 ypc with 1 td.

and Mich St pulls off the win against OSU, so I guess they will meet Stanford in the Rose Bowl, which will probably be the best BCS bowl this year.

We're going to have an all black quarterback national championship game  I don't know if I'll watch but I hope Auburn wins because I can't stand Jameis the Rapist.

Auburn needed multiple miracles just to get into the SEC title game. Missouri, likewise, had lots of good fortune during the season to reach the championship. Neither is a great team. As much as I hate to say it, Florida State will most likely win in a blowout.

It was great to see the Spartans defeat Urban and Blackston miller and the rest of the ****eyes! They did it behind the play of boring, pocket passing Connor Cook too!

Too bad the Spartans lost to Notre Dame earlier this year, then they would be facing Florida State in the NC game. I'd like to see Stanford take on a darker team than Michigan State. OTOH its good to see those two face off in the Rose Bowl, better than Oregon Ohio State. If Oregon plays Alabama it would be nice to see Oregon win, as that would enhance the meaning of Stanford's win over the Ducks. I'd like to see Baylor play a big time opponent but saw a projection that it might be UCF.
The Buckeyes Joey Bosa will be a name to watch for in the coming years, hopefully he'll have some other white co-defenders starting with him in the future.

Gaffney has been shooting up the Draftscout board. At the beginning of the year he was viewed as training camp body. Now it looks like he will get drafted and might have the inside track of sticking on a 53 man roster. Another huge bowl game and maybe he can become a mid round pick. Ps if he caught fire from the beginning I think he would have had a shot at the Doak Walker or even the Heisman.

At this point, what difference does it make? If the Coalburn Tigers win it, can you imagine how smug DWFs will be over the SEC winning eight straight titles? The thought of it is even more unbearable than Rapeist Jameis and da Criminoles being victorious. At least that way the SEC's run will be broken before it can reach 10 years. And yes, I know the ACC is almost as blacked up as the SEC, and their ball-washing DWFs no less pathetic, but I'll take small victories where I can get them.

I disagree, Florida State has struggled against mediocre defenses at times this season. They've just been fortunate that none of those teams had good offenses. They were able to wear them down after awhile.

Auburn is the best hope for the title game. Everyone acknowledges that they're playing a college gimmick system that would never work in the pros. Them winning would be much more bearable than Winston winning.

Gaffney reminds me very much of Rex Burkhead. Both are very successful backs with big time programs. Good, versatile runners who can take it inside or out. Sort of like Jim Kiick and Paul Horning from previous eras.
But that type of back in a white colorway is out of fashion. Rex got drafted, but hasn't been given a chance to play. I suspect the same will happen to Gaffney.

Yes, it stinks that Stanford is going to go against MSU and Baylor against UCF. I would rather see them go against the blacker teams.

Yeah, that's the Bowl I'm lookin' forward to the most..

Stanford has an opportunity to win back-to-back Rose Bowls.. Michigan St. is a worthy opponent.
It looks like a good match-up; Stanford opened as a slight favorite. And its hard to out-do the pageantry of the Rose Bowl, this is the 100th Rose Bowl game (there were a couple interim years since 1902 that missed games.)
Could be a good showcase for the fair-minded Stanford program..

Ohio State should go to Miami Gardens (Florida) and handle their business and defeat Clemson. If they don't do this, they're pathetic.

Clemson has been overranked all season. :icon_rolleyes: It's time for Ohio State to shatter them once and for all.

Ohio State is just as overrated. I have zero interest in this bowl game, much like the national championship game.

I've been looking at their statistics for the past two seasons, but tonight is the first time I've gotten to see Eastern Illinois play. Still early in this snow bowl. EIU looks like SMU from two years ago, but at a faster pace. It's no wonder their offense is so tough to defend.
Hoping for a big game from Drake, Garappolo, and Lora.

Poor conditions and poorly timed mistakes have conspired to put EIU in a hole late. It looks like the end of the line.

And a couple of minorities fumble away certain victory for Wazzu. I'm sure Leach doesn't mind, though. After all, they looked so athletic while doing it...

ESPN and the football scouting blogosphere have been hyping Kuh-leal Mack so much this season you'd think he was a black quarterback.
He sure seems invisible against non-AQ San Diego State. Makes you wonder if his production perhaps was due to that defensive line all along. I remember watching Buffalo vs Ohio State early in the season. It wasn't Mack who was the defensive wall, it was lineman Colby Way.
