2013 College Football Postseason

A couple of good games on tonight, Pitt plays Bowling Green in the Little Caesar's Bowl, and Utah State plays Northern Illinois in the Poinsettia Bowl. The first game features more white players overall, but the second game is the final college game for Jordan Lynch.

During the bowl previews Todd McShay said he wouldn't be surprised to see a team draft Lynch in the later rounds and convert him to running back

Not to be forgotten in the *HAWAI'I BOWL*

Boise State Junior WR Matt Miller had 11 receptions for 206 yards...including an 85 yard TD!(Hawai'i Bowl Record) At 6'-3" 218 he has the Nelson, Decker, Cooper type size & athleticism that should get him Drafted in 2015!

Dual-threat QB Jordan Lynch is worth the price of admission! An NFL team would be wise to give him a chance at QB first...Regardless it's Win-win situation for Lynch... if he does happen to move to Tailback...he is plenty tough & displays great instincts and nice burst! Woodhead, Gerhart, Hillis, Burkhead & Leonard could stand to use more company!

Utah State might win, but it will be because Northern Illinois defense isn't very good.

I was hoping he could get 119 rushing yds to be the first w 2k passing and 2k rushing but they dead set on not letting him run biting on a lot of play fakes, they need to do play action further down the field just rushed for a td but needs 99 more rushing yds. Now they lead 7 to 6.

Lynch doesnt' have a White receiver to throw to? nobody is getting seperation when it matters. 3 scoring chances missed, one missed field goal, failed to convert on a 4th down in scoring range, and another missed field goal. They should have just went for down 6 with 11 minutes left with the way scoring has been going.

they should have established the run better Lynch earlier in the game. Run d is stingy but Lynch would've worn them down. 20 carries by 6 backs, more should've went to Lynch. He is the running game yet didnt get half of the total carries. He has close to a 100 more carries than the starting back during their wins. Pretty much every carry this game was short yardage besides the goal line attempt. They should've used him in the goal line the second time the kicker missed and more open field carries

I think Utah State was whiter then Northern Illinois last night.

Although I wanted Lynch to do well, it was tough to root against the Utah State defense, which featured a ton of palefaces. No wonder they are a top 10 D1 defense, with all of those overachieving, hard-working, crafty, lunch-pail carrying players.

Yeah it seemed like Utah State had 7 white players on defense last night...they made Northern Illinios look bad. Jr. SS-Brian Suite had an INT...6'-5" 245 soph. OLB-Kyler Fackrell looks like an NFL Prospect. ILB-Jake Doughty was impressive....

The Minnesota Gophers lost to Syracuse yesterday in a game they had all wrapped up (21-17). A long punt return inside of 2 minutes left did them in. But the Gophers on the offensive side look like a very interesting team to keep an eye on. Mitch Leidner (my avatar) relieved Philip Nelson (concussion) yesterday at QB - both are tremendous athletes. I think Leidner to be the better though Nelson was the starter most of the season. The Gophers were missing their leading receiver, Derrick Engel, due to a knee injury but freshmen, Drew Wolitarsky, got a chance to emerge as he will next year as Engel is a senior. Wolitarsky holds California's High School records for career receptions and receiving yards. Yesterday he left defenders in the dust on several occassions but was missed on overthrows by Leidner and Nelson on at least three occasions and had a long TD 55 yard td catch to give the Gophers the lead in the 4th quarter. He dropped, or the ball may have been slightly deflected, a hail mary pass in the End Zone at the end of the game - the ball hit him in the gut - that would have been a great moment had he caught it.

Freshman WR Drew Wolitarsky ended up with 4 receptions...94 yards & TD(55 yd!) & another freshman...TE Maxx Williams had 5 rec...76 yds & TD before being injured late.

BYU Dual threat QB Taysom Hill(soph.) had 133 yards rushing on 31 carries & TD + 293 yards passing vs Washington

RB-Cam McDaniel(Jr.) lead Notre Dame in rushing today...80 yards on 17 carries + 3 rec 29 yds despite not being the feature back....6'-7" Jr. TE-Troy Nicklas had 4 rec 76 yds

UNC Freshman All-purpose Back Ryan Switzer(has been playing a lot of slot) had a nice punt return earlier today called back bec of penalty...he has 1 carry so far for 8 yards...also QB over threw him on long pass play

Freshman Ryan Switzer with the 86 yard TD Punt return...his 5th Punt Ret TD of the season...equaling the all-time record! Any one else would have called fair catch after the towering punt! Calling him "cool cat"; special kind of talent"; "dare-devil not afraid of contact"....and yes the "S" word...SPEED! Coach said "it was only a matter of time before he exploded!"

Wow, 5 punt returns for TD in his freshman year? Ryan Switzer... I'm surprised CF hasn't been hyping this guy more, or maybe I just missed it.

here's the video of Switzer's record-tying return:

Tonight at 8:00 EST will be Johnny Manziel's final college game. Word has leaked that his declaring for the NFL draft is a lock. Boston College and Alex Amidon are playing right now. Amidon already has 5 catches for 48 yards in just the first quarter. He'll make a fine UDFA with his lack of pigmentation.

No surprise! Johnny Football is going to light it up in the NFL! He worked hard in the off season to become a better pocket passer...he can extend plays & make throws on the run like no other! He also has the "it" factor! Should be entertaining as always tonight vs Duke! If Russell Wilson is a starter in the NFL...No reason why Manzeil can not enjoy success too!

Alex Amidon finished with 10 receptions fo 129 yards!

QB BJ Denker....275 yards passing 2 TD's...+ 51 yards rushing & TD
QB Taylor Kelly...135 yards rushing & TD
QB Bo Wallace....256 yds passing & TD + 86 yds rushing & 2 TD's(could have had nearly 100 but sacks go as negative - yards
Freshman QB Davis Webb had 403 yds passing & 4 TD's
TE-Jace Amaro 8 rec...112 yards
RB Zac Laskey...5 carries for 27 yards

UCLA LB-Jordan Zumwalt(will be in NFL) wins Heavy Hitter Award blasting QB Logan Thomas out of the game & slobberknocking a RB too!

RB Steve Manfro with a nice 27 yard run...but only allowed 3 carries so far

I noticed that Virginia Tech's backup QB was black (Thomas got injured in the game). Out of curiosity, I looked at their roster. They have three more black QBs on the depth chart after Thomas. Frank Beamer is sick in the head. I will have a small celebration on the day that he reaches room temperature.

AA hire Kevin Sumlin is getting exposed for what he truly is. Manziel was recruited before Sumlin even got to A&M, all Sumlin has has accomplished is creating quite possibly the worst defense I've ever seen. It's only gotten worse as the season progressed.

Manziel just had an amazing play. Looked like he was going to be upended by a Duke defender but he managed to keep upright and land on his feet and throw for a TD pass.

Manziel is the only human being I've ever seen that makes it look like I'm watching a video game. Circle, speed burst, jump, stiff arm. Haha. He is simply amazing. He is a freakish athlete and has huge hands and feet for a guy that is 6'1. He wears a size 15 shoe and can do a 360 degree dunk like it's nothing. The guy is a legitimate superstar and will not be denied. He is too good for even the NFL to screw over. If he goes to a team with a franchise qb, he should demand a trade. Starter or nothing. Demand to start from day one.

A&M storming back with Manziel putting up his usual video game stats.

Chick-fil-A just had a commercial touting its college scholarship program. Apparently White men are forbidden from receiving them as everyone shown in the commercial was either black or a White female. And isn't Chick-fil-A supposed to be about the most "conservative" corporation to be found in the USSA given its founder's opposition to homosexual marriage?

This A&M defense is atrocious. Some no name black quarterback is carving them up. The idea that Kevin Sumlin is one of the best coaches in college football is laughable.

The idea that Kevin Sumlin is one of the best coaches in college football is laughable.

Sumlin's alert enough to move his eyes move around as if he's not completely out of his element, ala Mike Tomlin, rather than look like a frightened store mannequin like so many black NFL head coaches project. As a result he's in great demand by an NFL desperate to find good black coaches. When the best potential Rooney Rule candidates out there are Hatie Smith and Jim Caldwell (store dummy personified), someone like Sumlin stands out no matter how incompetent he might be.

A&M defense steps up and picks off Duke's black quarterback on two straight drives to end the game.
