SMU's new negro offensive coordinator is awful.
Zach Line's NFL hopes are withering away week after week.

Hopefully he still gets an invite to the combine as a "FB". I wish June Jones would call the plays.

Zach Line, Burkhead and McGuffie all have a shot at being drafted as RBs in the upcoming draft. I am hoping McGuffie hits the 1000k mark in receiving to get him some attention.

at the half, Texas A&M's Johnny Manziel has thrown for 115 yards and run for 58 more.

Swope has just one catch, but it went for 38 yards.

with a few more updates ...

Duke's outstanding wide receiver, Connor Vernon, is now the all-time receptions leader in ACC history. Vernon caught two touchdown passes and with his seven catches for 93 yards, Vernon now has 239 receptions in his career. Vernon surpassed Clemson's Aaron Kelly as the ACC's all-time leader in career receptions.

Wisconsin's Jared Abbrederis was once again unstoppable. he had game-highs of 7 catches and 117 receiving yards (including a 59-yard touchdown) today against Illinois, while adding 2 punt returns for 29 yards.

for Illinois in the game, the athletic now-safety Steve Hull had an interception, and wide receiver Spencer Harris (from Arkansas) had 4 catches for 46 yards.

ULM continued to put up big points behind dual-threat quarterback Kolton Browning, and they rolled past Middle Tennessee. Browning threw for 285 yards and 1 touchdown while running for 44 more yards. his favorite receiver Brent Leonard didn't have any big plays today, but he still finished with 8 catches for 73 yards.

Eric Breitenstein, Wofford
21 carries 158 yards

A somewhat below average performance for Breitenstein.

Georgia with zero points scored halfway through the 3rd QTR. No Michael Bennett, no offense.

in my final SEC note of the day, Arkansas linebacker/safety Ross Rasner had another terrific game. he led all players with a game-high 8 solo tackles (10 total), a forced fumble, and an interception in the endzone.

if you listen to the DWFs on the radio/message boards and the "expert" radio personalities in the state, you would think Rasner is "the" problem with the Razorbacks. as is usually the case, the morons couldn't be more wrong. known for his ability to play the run, Rasner has emerged as the top ballhawk on an otherwise all-afflete defense.

Rasner is second on the team with 47 total tackles (26 solo, also second on the team), leads the team with 2 interceptions, leads the team with 2 forced fumbles, and is second on the team with 3 pass break-ups. he also has 2.5 tackles-for-loss. just imagine what he could accomplish is he weren't "the worst player on the defense" as the idiot sheeple claim. :tsk:

tight end Austin Tate was also a solid part of the offense today against Auburn. he had 4 catches for 44 yards.

I can't help but think of the poor situation that T.J. Moe of Missouri is in. What a waste of talent...such a playmaker and potentially even bigger playmaker but having to play on such an inept team run by an inept coach recruiting inept players and playing an inept black quarterback.

Burkhead with a nice 73-yard run, although he doesn't appear to be 100% yet to me...looked like he still has a slight give in his bad knee.
It might not be his knee slowing him down, it probably is the knee brace. The one he is wearing seems to be rather large. Back in my playing days I wore a knee brace for a couple of games, but ditched it because it made me a half step slower.

Nice 29-yard TD run by Manziel to get A&M closer to New Miss, now 23-27.

EDIT: New Miss goes for it on 4th down on their own 39.5 yard line and get stopped. 3 min left and A&M with excellent field position.

HAHA, Manziel to Swope, 20-yard TD!

F*ck, looks like Burkhead might have re-injured his knee after a nice run :(

He had 14 rushes for 119 yards before this happened.

It looks like the myth of Geno Smith will live on, thanks to a missed field goal by Texas.

More like thanks to the overrated Texas defense full of affletes. They couldn't stop the run that whole drive when they knew it was coming. Pathetic. Smith still had 2 turnovers. Klein's Heisman stock should rise.

it started looking better on the sideline with them adjusting the knee brace, he didn't look as bad. Hopefully precautionary. When you have that sprain you tend to overreact when having it bend like that on a fall. However, he shouldn't play the rest of the game if its bothering him. Im guessing its too late to get a medical redshirt to play another year, it would be nice to see him and Martinez when Martinez is a senior. He is jogging around now.

edit: now he is on the bike trying to warm up the knee. This is where being a team player hurts our White players. He shouldn't risk it, unlike the idea that bigunreal always pushes, no reason to sacrifice yourself, Burkhead is great and Whites can't afford to be injured but trying to play on it doesn't solve anything and will lead to future complications. I know there are only a few of our guys at the spot, but there will always be an endless supply of talent with a few that somehow make it through the cracks. If that were a black player he would have sat there for about 10 minutes. This is also why concussion symptoms aren't as noticeable in black players, they lay on the ground forever. Look at Dexter McCluster the other week falling to the ground allowing the ball to come out and the Saints to grab it up, and he was good to go later in the week, some type of elbow injury?

They do have a bye next week, so if there isn't serious damage, he has two weeks for it to get better.

Also, that 20-yard TD from Manziel to Swope ended up being the game winner for A&M over New Miss, at New Miss.

f.y.i...Cam McDaniel is in at RB for Notre Dame right now...running hard. Dude is quick and shifty!

McDaniel with the TD...11 rushes for 55 yards.

Thats good to know. It looks like he really wants back in though with the offense sputtering at times now. I don't think Abdullah can run in the big 10 consistently. I don't think its worth it for him to try and come back though.

Just got home from the Duke/Virginia game. Duke won 42-17. Didn't see where this was covered, sorry if someone already reported that Duke WR Connor Vernon became the ACC's all-time receiving leader. He had 7 receptions and 2 TD's.

Now 288 yds. from becoming the all-time yardage leader!

Sorry JC. I just saw where you covered it. Anyway, maybe it was worth a second mention.

Atleast I got to see it live!

I hope next year Max McCaffrey can pick up where Connor left off.

Yeah Highlander, I was watching for him. He played on special teams and was mostly used for blocking at WR. I was disappointed not to see him get few looks to catch the ball. Atleast he is getting some PT as a Freshman!
