N.C. State just scored a TD to go up on the Criminoles, 17-16, with 16 seconds left in the game. I'm no fan of N.C. State but am liking this.

no worries, Carolina Speed. glad you enjoyed the game. Connor Vernon is a terrific player. 
as for Nebraska, their offense is completely out of sorts with Burkhead out of the lineup. it is obvious the OSU defense isn't scared of Abdullah, and the Cornhuskers haven't had anyone else step up to help Martinez, who is now the sole target the defense is gunning for.
and speaking of the OSU defense, John Simon is a MONSTER. he, and the other White men on d for the Buckeyes, are dominating this game on the line of scrimmage.
finally, my final stat update of the day:
LA Tech's White tailback/slot guys and wide receivers looked good today, which shouldn't come as a surprise. one just wonders why they aren't featured more ...
tailback/slot receiver Ray Holley finished the day with 22 carries for 139 yards and 1 touchdown (from 9 yards) and 4 catches for 37 yards.
tailback/slot receiver Hunter Lee totaled 8 carries for 55 yards and 1 touchdown (from 17 yards) and 4 catches for 34 yards.
wide receivers who contributed to the stat sheet were David Gru (2 catches for 33 yards and 2 kick returns for 35 yards), R.P. Stuart (2 for 14), and Jon Greenwalt (2 for 9).

NC St really darkened up this year but I hope they pull out this win. It will hurt the overrated black quarterback Manuel's draft stock and boost Glennon's. Glennon might have the strongest arm in college football.

Was just thinking the other day about how much I like watching a team with a good running game, and how it doesn't seem as common nowadays with so many pass happy teams. Then I tune into the Notre Dame game just in time to see them put together a beautiful drive down the field with Cam McDaniel getting all the carries. He looked good, and he's only a sophomore. Now the guys ahead of him are quite good too, but will his performance help him move up and get more time in the next two years, or will he mysteriously disappear?
