Unexpectedly, Ray Holley has gotten substantial carries for Louisiana Tech today. He leads them in rushing at halftime. 6 carries for 40 yards and a touchdown.

Rice's replacement black quarterback has been terrible, but McGuffie had a great game.

6 rec 119 yards 2TD

(not over yet, but Houston has the ball running the clock out)

BC's super athletic WR Alex Amidon had a tremendous game in the Golden Eagles' loss to Clemson today.

Amidon had 8 catches for 194 yards and 2 TDs!!

Also, nice to see Blankenship with a great performance as well. White RBs have really put on a show today!

We should get another great performance out of SDSU RB Zach Zenner as well!

Breitenstein is a tremendous runner on FCS Wofford. He's about 5'11 230, should have gone to a div1 fbs team. I know Wofford has a youtube site with team highlights from all of their games.

Eastern Washington's WR Brandon Kaufman (6'5, 215) has 6 catches for 87 yards and a TD against Montana. Too bad the Griz star FB Dan Moore's not been able to do much thus far (4 carries for 24 yards). :eek:hwell:

Huskers aren't looking too impressive (sans Rex). By the way...both uniforms are terrible looking. Nebraska's helmets look alright but their (& UW's) uni's are tacky as all get-out.

I think today is a great example of why some of us on CF like college football more than the NFL.

YEah, it's exciting to see some guys like Getz, Burkhead, Zwinak, and Weisman carry the ball so well. It makes you wonder why the NFL doesn't have more backs like those guys. HEck, who knows maybe those four will get a shot. Zwinak and Weisman have two more years after this year, and Getz and Burkhead (in my humble opinion) are surely destined for the NFL.

Montee Ball's averaging something like 3.6 ypc this season, all the caste whores expected him to be a 1st round pick in next years draft.

When is the last time there was a season with these many white RBs getting a shot to run the ball?

Blankenship, Burkhead, Line, Weisman, Getz. The Penn State RBs(Zwinak, Day, Zordich). Laskey on GA tech getting carries too.

Blankenship has a serious chance to be in the top 5 in total yardage if he stays healthy.

Pretty entertaining day of football yesterday. I wish Line could of eclipsed 100 yds.

Blakenship had an amazing performance - I did not see him mentioned at all on BSPN though...surprise surprise.

Also PSU is becoming a team to really root for this season.

On the downside BSPN is fully hyping Geno Smiff for Heisman and the #1 overall pick hype is soon to follow.

I was mostly focused on UFC and boxing yesterday (in between my usual weekend chores). But every time I glimpsed a game it had tons of whites on the field. In particular, the Iowa-Minnesota and Wisconsin-Nebraska games were very white affairs with many athletic white RBs and WRs. Just think, all teams looked like that until the mid 80s or so.
