Intentional grounding can't be called if a QB was hit as the ball was released, even if the ball failed to reach line of scrimmage.

huh, never heard that. Wait, then everytime a QB gets hit he would just move his arm forward and release the ball upfield a yard or so. There would be no more sacks. That doesn't sound right.

Intentional Grounding of Forward Pass

  1. Intentional grounding of a forward pass is a foul: loss of down and 10 yards from previous spot if passer is in the field of play or loss of down at the spot of the foul if it occurs more than 10 yards behind the line or safety if passer is in his own end zone when ball is released.
  2. Intentional grounding will be called when a passer, facing an imminent loss of yardage due to pressure from the defense, throws a forward pass without a realistic chance of completion.
  3. Intentional grounding will not be called when a passer, while out of the pocket and facing an imminent loss of yardage, throws a pass that lands at or beyond the line of scrimmage, even if no offensive player(s) have a realistic chance to catch the ball (including if the ball lands out of bounds over the sideline or end line).
Here's the actual rule from http://www.nfl.com/rulebook/intentionalgrounding

Official NFL rulebook...
Article 1 Definition. It is a foul for intentional grounding if a passer, facing an imminent loss of yardage because of pressure
from the defense, throws a forward pass without a realistic chance of completion. A realistic chance of completion is
defined as a pass that lands in the direction and the vicinity of an originally eligible receiver.
Item 1: Passer or Ball Outside Tackle Position . Intentional grounding will not be called when a passer, who is outside,
or has been outside, the tackle position throws a forward pass that lands at or beyond the line of scrimmage, even if
no offensive player(s) have a realistic chance to catch the ball (including when the ball lands out of bounds over the
sideline or endline). If a loose ball leaves the area bordered by the tackles, this area no longer exists; if the ball is
recovered, all intentional grounding rules apply as if the passer is outside this area.
Item 2: Physical Contact. Intentional grounding should not be called if:
(a) the passer initiates his passing motion toward an eligible receiver and then is significantly affected by physical contact
from a defensive player that causes the pass to land in an area that is not in the direction and vicinity of an eligible
receiver; or
(b) the passer is out of the pocket, and his passing motion is significantly affected by physical contact from a defensive
player that causes the ball to land short of the line of scrimmage.

Kaepernick has led two of his receivers into injuries, first he put too much arch on a pass that left Vernon Davis a sitting duck then he threw a screen to Manningham too late and got him destroyed by a cornerback.

He's got so much touch though.

He also threw a redzone pick right after overthrowing Celek.

That mini-turd Wilson is finding ways to win...it's so damn annoying. At least Krapernick is blowing up in Haurbaughs face.

Midget Wilson, wigger-Pete and his merry band of thugs look like the best team in the NFC. It would be a huge setback if this team does well in playoffs.

It's tough to pick which scenario is more deserving of failure. Harbaugh's unconscionable benching of a star player after an injury or anything good happening to Wigger-lover Pete and his team of afroletes.

However I prefer the Seahawks in this one because I am sure that Wilson will eventually implode and the team is not that good anyway. Having the despicable move of Harbaugh in regards to Alex Smith backfire on him is the best scenario IMHO.

I think both the Falcons and the Packers can handle the Seahawks.

Yesterday I was watching NFL Red Zone. At one point they where showing live action of Woodhead, Gerhart and Hillis, all contributing in major ways, i.e. touch downs or ripping chunks of yardage. I was feeling pretty good about that and other White Stars performances.

Then................I check over at BSPN home page and there....All the frontpage stories were about affelets today and yesteryear. The only Pale face on the home page was Flo the wierd female actress from Progressive Insurance, which incidently supported BO and Dems. Never buy insurance from them.

The beat of CM is being played loudly at BSPN, the night before Christmas Eve. Great Country and it nose dives.

Apparently Tim Tebow refused to run the Wildcat. Maybe he is learning how to stand up for himself. A valuable lesson in today's NFL.

I've seen my share of repulsive DWF pictures in the past, but this one takes the cake. This is so bad on so many levels, I just have to share it. These are some Seattle fans, apparently overcome with some sort of an orgy while celebrating "their" team's victory. They are truly an embarassment to mankind and of course to their race.

The Jets suck. Shonn Greene is a below average running back. Sanchez can be a decent backup for some team, but no way he should have ever been a starter. Stephen Hill and Jeremy Kerley might be the two worst starting receivers in the league.

I used to be a big Jets fan. I enjoyed watching them when they had Testavere and Wayne Chrebet. I haven't watched a Jets game in years and don't intend to.

And of course the vultures in the media are bashing Tim Tebow for refusing to run that sucky Wildcat. He should have refused to run that crap since day one as well as other the other demeaning roles he was told to play.

As much as I hate Pete Carroll and the Seahawks, I enjoyed watching the 49ers beat down last night. Particularly with Kaepernick's deer in the headlights garbage performance. Now, it looks like Atlanta and Green Bay will get the bye. The Seahawks are much better at home, and can't win 3 playoff games on the road.

Harbaugh gets what he deserves with Kaepernick. He was one game away from the Super Bowl with Alex Smith, but that wasn't good enough. The window of opportunity is very small in this league, and a Super Bowl contender can be at the bottom of the league in a couple of years. That may be where the 49ers are headed.

Two reasons I hate Pete Carroll:

1. Pete Carroll running around celebrating like he won the Super Bowl after the Seahawks beat Green Bay on the obviously horrible hail mary call. Continuing to celebrate in the media and refusing to admit what everybody knew was a bogus, gift victory. Classless.

2. Pete Carroll running around celebrating like he won the Super Bowl after the last second win over the Bears, running around the field celebrating despite the fact that Sidney Rice was unconcious in the end zone, and everyone else was concerned for his health. Classless.

It follows the pattern he has established since he was the USC coach. He fled sanctions for corruption, lied to the media on why he left. Shoot he lied to the media on why he never seriously recruited Toby Gerhart. I wouldn't hire him as a night watchman let alone a coach....

Devon Wylie was the most effective receiver on the Chiefs yesterday in their loss to the Colts, even though it was a modest 3/36 on a day when KC only completed 10 passes. With Hillis going over 100 yards on the ground I wish I had watched some of that game now.

And how about Andrew Luck leading the Colts to a playoff spot as a rookie? Just about everyone was expecting a 2-14 rebuilding season. The kid's a phenom, the second best story in the league this year after Peyton Manning's great comeback.

And of the five relatively "White friendliest" NFL teams -- New England, Denver, Houston, Green Bay and Minnesota -- four are in the playoffs and the Vikings still have a chance.

And the most racist team - the Pittsburgh Steelers - imploded under the weight of their black supremacist philosophy.

An all-black O-line! What could go wrong?

That one clearly belongs under the good category, along with all the White friendly teams Don mentioned heading into the playoffs. It would be nice to see MIN get in, and for Dallas to beat Gremlin and the Redskins.

On the bad side, we have Seattle, SF, and CIN all getting in. The offensive ROY has now become a 3-horse race, and I'm hearing Luck dropping all the way to third because his INT and QBR totals are being scrutinized, never mind that the Colts have no running game and Luck has to throw the ball more.

I also caught a segment on BSPN, where Merrill Hoge was ripping Tebow to shreds for this latest manufactured controversy. That man is truly despicable.

What's so hilarious about this post and your strongly worded, but rightful, condemnation of this image it that it depicts the most ordinary scene of your typical jack*sses celebrating their largely black team in the stands. Haha. Well done sir! Though I do suppose the two men clutching the one woman in a weird and vaguely effeminate, "polyamorous" hug does add another another dimension to it. I mean who are those tool bags? Shouldn't they be thinking getting a life at some point?

Seattle is a such a perfect team for me to hate. Pete Carroll was such a useless, ineffective, d*uchbag when he coached in NE... just love the thought of him pining all his girlish hopes and dreams on his magical black quarterback ... can't wait for it all to come crumbling down. Or hell, let's hope, right?

In the aftermath of Week 16, the Browns signed black quarterback Josh Johnson to provide "depth" since Brandon Weeden was injured and probably won't play this week.

Nick Foles broke his hand at the end of the Redskins game and is now on IR, clearing the way for QB Dog Killer to resume his starting role.

see this is what I don't get when blacks claim there aren't any black backup qbs in the league. There are plenty. They whine about McNabb not being on a team, but he refused to be a backup and mentor a younger qb, otherwise he could have been a backup, and maybe starting right now because of injuries. David Garrard is another one, who was brought in to the Dolphins and got injured. Meanwhile you have guys like Josh Johnson, Byron Leftwich and Charlie Batch that somehow stick, oh yeah and Jason Campbell. He looked like he could be a solid backup until he actually had to play. A backup either needs to be a smart veteran that knows the playbook by heart or a younger player that they are grooming for the future. Unfortuantely more teams are starting to put blacks as the backup with "potential" rather than Whites. Terrelle Pryor is an example.
