Hillis has 5 carries for 34 yds so far.

great news, hopefully he is out of that rut he was in for so long, maybe he can get 100 yard for the day. He should get plenty of opportunities after the 10 yards Charles had on what, 10 carries?

That makes it 6 turnovers for Freeman in the last 2 games, wonder how high he can go to end the season

Patriots need to step it up, not going to last long in playoffs with play like this. Hopefully Gronk coming back will change things, but they have to learn how to play without him, which means more time for Woodhead. M. Hoomanawanui (had to copy and paste that one) is not going to be the answer.

Nice to see Shipley getting to return punts.

Brian Hartline is now over 1000 yards for the season. How the hell does a guy have over 1000 yards, but only one touchdown? That's just weird.

I dunno depends on the offense, many struggle in the redzone with playcalling. Calvin Johnson had 1 for the first 8 games of the season, now with 5, and hes had a ton of more targets. Fasano is a better redzone option for the Dolphins and has 5 on 36 catches.

My mistake. I thought his catch today had put him over the mark. How has he not scored more? I don't know that I've ever seen a player have that many yards, but only one TD.

The Dolphins have had a terrible passing game in the red zone for years. Even Brandon Marshall rarely scored when he played for Miami. Tannehill and Hartline have just missed on a few would-be TDs in recent weeks.

Luke Kuechly is a tackling machine. Besides Luck, he was the best selection in the draft.

Yes, and before the draft all the "experts" were questioning his athleticism and saying he's slow because he's white. What a shocker when he ran a 4.58 at the Combine and silenced all the morons. Goes to show you the stereotyping of white athletes no matter how fast and effective they are on the field.

Prosinki is really impressing me

Yes, after his nice interception earlier, he just smashed Deion Branch.

Woodhead with a nice 24-yard catch and run.

The best black commentator on TV, Solomon Wilcotts, is heaping accolades upon Welker and Woodhead, and saying how much Gronkowski is missed.

yeah he had a nice hit there, wouldn't be surprised to see him turn into the one of the best in the league, if he keeps getting the opportunity, I think he has been starting due to injury, and playing quite nice. He should be playing corner in a fair world

wonder if the Pats regret signing Hernandez to such a big contract for what he provides. 40 million maximum value, 12.5 million signing bonus with 16 million guaranteed. If they think not having Gronk is bad, imagine what life would be without Welker. They have a great tandem going Welker/Gronk

Woodhead "rewarded" for last weeks great play by getting less carries than Bolden, hopefully that changes.

Hillis is finally having a good game. 6 carries for 48 yards to far. It's about time. What happened to this guy? He had such a terrific season a few years ago and now he's stuck in a huge rut and averaging only 3.1 ypc.

those were exactly his words about his production, said he was stuck in some sort of rut and didn't know how to get out of it. Better late than never, averaging 8 ypc right now so it will bring his average up, I think it would be at 3.7 right now if he kept this average up, and hopefully give him one more chance to at least split carries.

This is just so frustrating!:mad2: Im getting the thought of the Patriots winning the super bowl out of my head. Its not gonna happen. They dont WANT to win. Not giving Woodhead the ball 20 times a game is proof positive that winning is not the goal in N.E.

oh man what a nice play by Woodhead! not the best pass out of the backfield but put it in the endzone, but yeah, he needs to be seeing more carries, not just passes. No reason for him not to be getting at least 1,000 yards from scrimmage each year, right now he might get 700, he is at 650 right now and 7 tds. Touchdowns are obviously important, if he has 7 on such a little amount of playing time, imagine what he could do with more.

Hillis is tied with Charles for yards right now at 48, 6 carries for Hillis, 10 for Charles. Looks like Charles lost a few on the last few carries, he was at 50. Their best chance of winning is to go with Hillis, I mean that was the "original plan" to go with the "hot hand"

hoping Welker can get to 120 catches this season, at 106

Danny Woodhead with the td catch and run. This guy is so explosive. On this scoring drive, Welker was amazing but they keep handing it off to Ridley. Screw that. They even had a direct snap to Ridley and this guy fumbles way too much. Give the damn ball to Woodhead and get out of his way! He still hasn't had a 100 yard game as a Patriot in the regular season if my memory is right and this is a crime. It's all the fault of the Pats Coaching Staff and the dumb plays called for Danny not to mention that he never gets to run the ball an average of 20 times a game.

Hillis is looking good again. I would love to see him go back to Denver. Man would that be special. I know they still love him there.

Glad to hear that Jacksonville might go after Tebow in a trade. How does Tebow to Shipley sound? I could get used to that.

Tim Tebow deserves better. It makes me sick to my stomach how he has been treating. Ask yourself would they do this to a muslim? You already know the answer. A great example would be the ex nba player Akeem Olujawon who was a virgin and a guy of high values. The fans and media loved him. Why is it different with Tebow? Oh, we already know why. What a joke!!

Anyone know if Amendola was injured again? He has 1 catch for -3 yards and a fumble in the first half.

not sure if Amendola is injured. Would have never imagined that it would be difficult to keep up with all the White skill position players at once.

Imagine Woodhead on some creative play calling in the run game, like how the Saints run Sproles. They did it in 2010, the toss play, outside zone, direct snap etc, anything besides the draw play, I mean it works occasionally but its not easy to break out a big run on that play, especially when defenses are expecting it. I mean if they don't see him as an every down back he should at least be getting half of the carries, enough to get well over 1,000 from scrimmage. I would say 600 to 700 yards rushing and around 400 yards receiving. With the way the Patriots are run with Gronk and Welker, there aren't many passes to go underneath to him, so he would have to get the bulk of his yards from rushing. His receiving totals are right around where they should be in a split role but not his rushing. Sproles has 60+ catches, something Woodhead could do if Welker or Gronk was missing the entire season, his receiving role should increase with Gronk out the past few games.

Foles is outplaying Griffin right now. Foles actually throws the ball vertically downfield. Griffin's passes are short swing passes to WRs or passes to the middle of the field where the WR is wide open. He rarely throws downfield unless its a blown coverage and seems afraid to challenge defenses. Now that is revolutionizing the QB position!!!

his short passes is something I keep trying to drill into dwfs heads, but they just don't get it. Even though they have a great scheme, he will be figured out if he doesn't throw down the field, and try to thread the needle like successful qbs (ones that are successful over long periods of time). Cousins has half the amount of 50 yard passes than Griffin has in 48 attempts, compared to the 350 that rg3 has. One of those plays was Garcon getting about 87 yards after the catch. So really 3, I saw both of Cousins and I know the first one was at least 20 yards down the field, the last one at least 40 yards, and he did the last one in between 3 defenders, while running.

it seems like black quarterbacks can never have a balance, before it was the ones that could run couldn't throw, and the ones that could throw couldn't run, but there is something more, it has always seemed that they are either guys that dink and dunk (Garrard), or guys that are only good on deep passes (like a Culpepper) and have no touch on shorter passes, Brooks was like this, every pass was thrown as hard as possible, no matter if it was a 10 yard route or a 20 yard route.

I gues Hillis won't see much action after the 82 yarder that Charles had, great ability but not the consistency the Chiefs need to keep winning, he gets tackled for no gain and for a loss quite often. if the Chiefs had a better passing attack then I would keep him in there, but they need someone to keep drives alive, because Charles isn't going to hit a homerun every game and I doubt he will do it again in this game. The last time was against the last ranked Saints defense.

edit: Spoke too soon, hillis is 29 yards away from a 100 yard game! he has 9 carries so far, he has big play ability to, not a homerun threat but has had bigger runs than guys like Lawfirm or Shonn Greene on a very smaller number of attempts. I think he can break off a 30 yarder if they give him some nice blocking, just let him get to the second level and he will do the rest.

and as i typed this Rg3 took a shot down deep, it was ugly, looked like a Pryor throw, floated pretty high up there. Is it possible that he doesn't have the cannon arm that we were led to believe?
