Well, the New York Jets finally did it. They broke Fireman Ed.
Lombardi: Turkey Day lessons

Michael Lombardi says all three Thanksgiving showdowns taught us something. Plus, 10 thoughts around the league. More ...

Ed Anzalone, the most famous Jets fan in America, reportedly split during halftime of a humiliating 49-19 loss to the New England Patriots on Thanksgiving night. He deactiviated his popular Twitter account as well, an exclamation point to a butt slide of an evening.
Former Jets defensive lineman Kris Jenkins snarled on Twitter, "Guess he went back to the Dolphins," a reference to Anzalone's former fan leanings before he became the Jets' de facto mascot years ago.
(Ed, if you're out there, come back to us. It's going to be ... OK.)

As has been the case for some time, I pleaded with Around the League editor Gregg Rosenthal to greenlight the Jets' addition to our "Stick A Fork In 'Em" series. Gregg is remarkably stubborn on the issue and still believes the Jets can sneak into the dance at 8-8, noting a favorable upcoming schedule and looming tiebreaker edge over the Indianapolis Colts.
So, Gang Green lives on, at least here at Around the League. The good news? ATL's resident Patriots guy must pull for the Jets over the next month to support a gut feeling.
Fireman Gregg?

New York Jets looking at C.F.L.'s version of (ex-Jet) Danny Woodhead, Toronto Argonauts running back Chad Kackert?

We'll see if Rex Ryan has the balls to sign another white running back who could have a positive impact on that stagnant Jets offense..

It looks like the signing of Kackert was "Tannenbums" idea and the new gm is going in a different direction. Here is a story about that and his contract extension with Toronto.......http://www.theglobeandmail.com/spor...ackert-staying-with-argonauts/article8742238/

its probably best for him, there is no way that he was going to get 100 carries for the Jets in one season, I know he was a backup but it looks like they plan on using him more in the future since he proved he was starting material. For the Jets he would be the practice guy that trys to emulate every White guy the Jets face, which includes Welker and Woodhead. I am sure Woodhead was brought in just for that reason, to be practice guy emulating Welker.

Ya it's a better situation for him in Canada. At least he knows he's wanted there and won't be jerked around like he would be in the NFL. Happy for the guy to come into his own this year!

I'll put this here. This guy, Geno Smith is shooting his mouth off like there's no tomorrow - He's done. Interesting how blacks have it in them to louse up before they even start.

Talking about the Jets, using the term “louse upâ€￾…is that you, Tom Iron? If so, welcome back!

Wow the Jets QB depth chart has Sanchez, Garrard and Smith all on it. McElroy who is probably better than all of them will end up being the odd man out.

Looks like the Jets have another role model on their roster.
Jets RB Mike Goodson is being sued for child support and health insurance for his children.

He's being sued by a Houston woman demanding child support for four kids he fathered from 2005 to 2011. Although this won't affect him on the field or with the league office, Goodson is quickly becoming an unwanted distraction for a Jets team that already has its share of issues.

I'm putting this in the old 2012 thread, since it was part of the '12 season. The "buttfumble" is worth a chuckle. Plus the highlight of the cracker Gregory running it back for a TD is always good to see....
