I'm watching the NBC coverage with Uncle Al, and instead of doing a feature on the very White, very blonde Galen Rupp of the US prior to the men's 10Km run, they talk about the Somalian-British Mo Farah. Rupp was there as an accessory for about 10 seconds, since he apparently trains with the African in Oregon.

I think any reasonable person can see that the reason why Blacks, women, and to a lesser extent Hispanics, Asians, et al are so heavily covered in the media—and the respective sports they play are hyped up as being the most important—is because if White males were showcased in every event they dominate (and they dominate a LOT), the Olympics would seem like nothing more than a gloating propaganda-fest for "White Power".

If, for example, Whites dominated the short sprints but struggled in strength events, and instead it was the Blacks who didn't win so many sprints but won a lot of discus, javelin, polevault, etc., the media would cover those field events more closely and largely ignore the sprints, and convince people that, lo and behold, STRENGTH is "athleticism", not speed.

It's the same crap we hear every time a White guy does well at decathalon: "Oh, you're OKAY at many sports, master of none..."

But if a Black person wins, "you're the greatest all around athlete on the planet."

Galen Rupp of the US has just won silver in the men's 10K!!! What an incredible race and what an accomplishment by this young man. I was literally jumping and screaming in the last 200m as Rupp ran down a number of East Africans, in their national sport no less, and grabbed the silver. I'm very, very proud right now.

I don't know what sport I just watched, but it was dumb as sh!t.
Two guys on bikes slowly inched along a track, one in front, looking backward over his shoulder, trying to keep the other from moving to either side. Then, on the last lap, the lead cyclist looks backwards over his left shoulder and the trailing cyclist goes to the right and passes him, taking the lead in the last few meters to "win" this ridiculous show.
How is this a sport?

Reid Priddy (6-foot-4) has a 42-inch vertical.

They've all world class "hops" indeed. I remember watching volleyball legends Steve Timmons and Karch Kiraly dominate back during the 84 - 96 Olympics. Even back in '84, I was astounded by the leaping ability of these world class athletes.

I usually don't agree with BigUnreal, but in regards to Gabby Douglas I do. He's totally correct in the fact that this is an affirmative action participant. How many black girls actually take part in gymnastics across the country? Not many I'm sure. There are just too many talented white girls across the country for this black girl to make it. If I didn't know better I'd say the US gymnastic coaches are told to find the best black gymnast they can and put her on the team. Now she signs a 90 million dollar deal with Kellogg's. What white US athlete is getting that kind of deal?

i'll take the example of france

one of the ways is to promote the sport in areas where there are a lot of blacks, like paris for example (they do it for pretty much all the sports in france) or islands like guadeloupe that is next to jamaica but is part of france (the jewish guy who runs the french athletics federation, Bernard Amsalem, said that we had to search for our own usain bolt in guadeloupe, while ironically our best sprinter ever which looks like usain bolt is from savoie in france and is white)

another thing that happens in fencing: we have a lot of black fencers but fencing is a white sport, so how is this possible?
first because fencing is very popular in guadeloupe and other black areas, but also because the guys that do fencing are educated, and when they turn 21 and have the choice between a well paid job and a fencing career (there is not a lot of money in fencing) they choose the well paid job and give up on fencing

another thing is sports like tennis and maybe gymnastics, where training in the good conditions is very important
having good coaches is very important in tennis and costs a lot of money
if the state takes a few black guys and give them the perfect training conditions while the white players have more trouble, there are great chances that these black players will be the best french tennis players

Serena is the most disgusting elite tennis player ever. When I saw her do that crip(noterious gang, murders of their own kind and drug pushers)walk I could not believe it. That dance is just the same as throwing up gang signs. Her name is mud forever in my book. No matter what.

There are some bright spots. Jager did a respectable sixth place finish in the 3000 meter steeple, beating numerous Blacks and light-skinned North Africans.

Also, Whitey is well-represented in the 1500 meter final (five of the runners I think are White) and in the 400 meter, too. Maybe we can get some medals in one or both, who knows.

The thing about the Olympics is that I don't even have to look at some of the sports to know that White boys won. Hammer throw? Shot putt? Javelin? Pole vault? Come on, we know non-Whites have NO chance.

That's what's cool about Whites, is because White's are pretty much guaranteed to win certain sports, but Blacks are not necessarily guaranteed to win others, save for the 100 meter or 200 meter, and even that's a bit questionable considering all the drug accusations flying around.

However, because Blackey has no chance at Whitey's sports, which are numerous, the media focuses solely on the sports that Blacks CAN win, and dubs them more important.

Last night, NBC was dizzy with enthusiasm while broadcasting the beach volleyball match between Jew-S-A and Italy. Their favorite stars-and-stripes bullies, Misty May-Treanor and Kerry Walsh-Jennings, were again displaying their undeniable volleyball might, as well as their herculean levels of self-esteem and self-absorption.

Before the match, Italian player Marta Menegatti made the grievous error of uttering the following quote with concern to her long-time adoration for her American opponent, Misty May-Treanor…

"I want to be like her. She is my hero and has been since I was young."

Of course, reporters immediately repeated this quote to Misty and Kerry at a pre-match press conference, to which they haughtily responded by saying: “During the match, we want to remind Marta why Misty May was her idol in the first place.”

No humility. No kindness. No sportsmanship. No mercy. No appreciation for flattery. No respect for anyone, except themselves. The odious attributes of All-American “women,” for certain.

Of course, the “hyphen girls” easily prevailed, with the zealous aid of the intoxicated crowd (once again) chanting “Jew-S-A! Jew-S-A! Jew-S-A!” all the while. The socially-uncouth turds in attendance continued their letter-chanting (reminiscent of Tiger Woods being “wooed” to victory by media and fans), despite the fact that the Italian team was seen weeping uncontrollably in between sets…

I don't want to let my opponents free, I don't want to give them an inch. And so I think you need to have that cutthroat mentality. Not mean. Not I want to hurt you or devastate you but I respectfully want to beat you."

Anyone else could win this tournament and I’d be content.

I don't usually like to say anything unkind about ladies, but these women are NOT ladies.

There's a difference between saying you're a "lady" and say, acting like some weak, 1880s Victorian stereotype, and saying you're a lady in that you have simple CLASS and everyday manners. To be the latter, does not mean you subscribe to the former.

These USA women have no class. No sportsmanship. They don't belong in the Olympics.

With the same idiotic monkey behavior of these pale-skinned primates, comes the idea that these days, to be a "gentleman" means NOT to be a protective, fearless leader, per the Victorian standard, but instead to be the modern gentleman, which is an effeminate hipster who wears girl jeans and Toms shoes.

They are not any fun to watch really. First of all why is this even a "sport". They are playing REAL volleyball elsewhere and it's a lot better to watch. I used to play a lot of co-ed rec volleyball and the joy of the game is the execution: bump, set, spike. And making an occasional great save. But flopping around in the sand with only two players is like playing a kid's game.

I think the reason it caught on was a chance to showcase good looking girls in bikinis. But the two boob-less amerikan skanks are an affront to the eyeballs. As much as I am against artificial methods of enhancing performance I think I would make a "silicone" exception for those two mutts. It's actually kind of embarassing. They look like they are wearing training bras! I think any contestant below a C cup should be penalized into wearing a baggy T-shirt.

It's bad enough showcasing the "beauty" of female track stars that lack the hips and breasts of normal human females but you would think for a showcase sport they would be able to find actual female looking humans to play. Glad to see other countries like Italy and Brazil representin' for the womens.

See picure below. Why are they even bothering to wear tops? It's not like anyone would see naked female breasts.

In other completely useless news I have seen several articles that are inferring people are criticizing Gabby Douglas' hair. Uh huh, sure they are, none of the (one is all I could stand) articles I read actually had any White people that were critical because I think that would be a class 2 felony for a White person. Jaxvid, good point on the silliness of "beach volleyball" as an Olympic sport. I've respect for the court/team version, but the 2 on 2 bit is a sideshow.

BTW, some other "sports" that ought not be in the Olympics include synchronized swimming, Badminton, "BMX" biking, trampoline "gymnastics", sailing, and table tennis. Sports that need to be added are submission wrestling and powerlifting.
