It's been a good game so far between Notre Dame and Kentucky. Notre Dame will usually have 3 whites on the court, and suprisingly, Kentucky has had two on the court for a great part of the 1st half! Kyle Wiltjer, and either Jarrod Polson or Jon Hood have been playing for Kentucky! Notre Dame currently leads Kentucky 27-21.

he's not gotten much hype over his career, but Purdue's sharp-shooting D.J. Byrd has been playing some good basketball thus far this season. he went for 22 points (on 7-12 shooting), 7 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals in the Boilermakers' road win over Clemson.

Gonzaga continues to dominate, devouring a cupcake in their last outing. what's really exciting about the Zags is the emerging playmaking from their nucleus of young, White athletes. in this contest, freshman slasher Kyle Dranginis went for 30 (on 12-16 shooting), while snatching 7 rebounds and passing for 6 assists. 7-foot freshman, Przemek Karnowski, scored 16.

athletic 7-foot junior forward Kelly Olynyk had a double-double (11 points, 10 boards), including a couple of nasty dunks (despite what Sportscenter showed on the "Not Top Ten"). fellow junior, point guard David Stockton, had 13 points, 7 assists, and 3 steals.

Gonzaga had 7 White players get at least 14 minutes of game action, including Memphis transfer/refugee Drew Barham, who scored 11 in 16 minutes.

keep an eye on BYU. they are continuing to develop, and sophomore guard Tyler Haws has a chance to be a GREAT player.

did anyone else see that Tennessee-Georgetown game? ohmigod! that's about as ugly a basketball game as i've seen at the collegiate level. only 73 total points scored, neither team shot over 36% from the floor, and the "winning" team scored 37 points. ugh.

with all those "game-breaking, phenomenal" affletes on the floor, how is that possible? LOL.

I had the displeasure of watching the first half of the Georgetown - Tennessee game today. Both teams started 4 blacks and 1 white. Final score was 37-36. No, not the score at the end of the half, but the end of the game. These blacks couldn't put the ball in the basket if their lives depended on it.

I agree, don't forget how terribly Texas played yesterday against Georgetown! I think Texas had about 10 turnovers in the 1st six minutes of the game! Even Jay Bilas noticed how terrible the Longhorns were playing.


In the Tennessee game tonight, Virginia's main man Joe Harris tied for the scoring lead tonight with 13 points.


Why did Florida bench Erik Murphy tonight? He didn't start like he usually does. It doesn't make any sense to bench your best player.


Butler played against an overmatched IUPUI team tonight, and absolutley destroyed them. Rotnei Clarke and Kellen Dunham led the Bulldogs in scoring tonight, each with 17 points, going 4-6 and 3-5 on 3 pointers respectiviley. Andrew Smith also had 11 points. I hope Butler is using these cupcake games to start to gel together for conference play, and if they do, they should be a very fun team to watch this year. Butler shot 11-21 from three as a team, or 52%, which is pretty good, and as a result, the Bulldogs lit up the scoreboard with 52 points in the 1st half.

That's great to hear about Murphy, Jimmy! I wasn't sure, and didn't think he was actually benched, but you never know in today's world.

I watched some of the SDSU game last night, and the Jackrabbits looked really lost out there without Wolters running the show. I think Wolters is one of the most important players in the country to his team.

Just an observation, I didn't know Temple became more tolerant of white players; they have three white plyers on the court right now against Villanova!! This has to be more than any Temple team since before John Chaney was there.

If you have a chance, go and watch Gonzaga play tonight. Gonzaga is a very fun team to watch, and they play a bunch of white players. Also, the team that the play, Washington State, features talented big man Brock Moutm, who again, seems to be flying under the national radar.

No way I wanted to start a new thread to post this. This is one of the "lead stories" on the Yahoo! home page, and it's sickening. All of these "Criminole" white girls are debasing themselves in an attempt to get a black basketball recruit to come to the school.

Just an observation, I didn't know Temple became more tolerant of white players; they have three white plyers on the court right now against Villanova!! This has to be more than any Temple team since before John Chaney was there.

I decided to look this up. All 3 White guys who play come off the bench. One, O'Brien, is a grad student who played 3 years at Boston University. Another, DiLeo is a 5th year career bench guy. The 3rd and most interesting, is Dalton Pepper.

Some might remember him from his 2 season at West Virginia. He was a Bob (T)Huggins whipping boy and bench ornament after being the 2009 Pennsylvania Big School Player of the Year as a senior in HS. Transferring was the right idea, but to Temple? Talk about going from the frying pan into the fryer. He's currently getting less minutes this year than he did his final year at UWV.

a few comments on a couple of recent games of note ...

Gonzaga is one of the deepest teams in the country.

on Wednesday night, they squared off against in-state rival, Washington State. trailing by four at the half, Gonzaga responded by going inside to Kelly Olynyk (one of two White 7-footers who come off the bench). Olynyk scored 22 in the second half, after going scoreless in the first. he also snared 7 boards, had 2 assists, and blocked 1 shot. he was red hot, connecting on 10 of 14 shot attempts.

also off the bench, extremely physical guard/forward Mike Hart (a former walk-on) played 20 minutes and was pivotal in the contest's outcome, playing incredible defense. Hart had only played double-figure minutes once since Olynyk returned to the lineup.

in total, 6 White athletes saw the floor during the very hotly contested game.

the game wasn't decided until Kevin Pangos, who had a horrible shooting night, hit a driving lay-up with 2 seconds left. it was only his second made field goal of the game.

on the losing side, Washington State's sharp-shooting power forward Brock Motum played very well. he finished with 23 points, and it was his stellar 3-point shooting (he hit 5 of 7 treys) that kept the Cougars in the game. Motum added 4 rebounds and 3 blocked shots.

one of the most under-appreciated players in the country is guard/forward Grant Gibbs of Creighton. one of the best and most versatile defenders at the collegiate level, Gibbs routinely starts games at the small forward position before eventually shifting over to the point guard spot.

in the Bluejays' most recent win (against Nebraska), Gibbs dished out 10 assists with only 1 turnover in 36 minutes. he had 9 assists and ZERO turnovers in 31 minutes in the game before that, a win over Saint Joe's. on the season, Gibbs is averaging an INCREDIBLE 6.4 assists to every turnover. that's simply unheard of for a guy who handles the ball as much as he does!

additionally, Creighton's Doug McDermott looks to have regained his shooting touch from outside the arc. in his last three games, McDermott has hit a combined 11 for 16 from long range, after connecting on just 6 total 3-pointers previously in the entire season. he scored 27 in the win.

4 of the 7 Bluejays who played double-figure minutes against Nebraska were White athletes, and they were on the court together for long stretches.

That is an incredible state on Gibbs, Jimmy!! To be that efficient is amazing!

Butler got a huge win tonight at Northwestern. Andrew Smith really stepped up his play tonight against the Wildcats, pounding them for 24 points and 10 rebounds, including 8 offensive rebounds!! Smith frequently got open in the paint against Northwestern, and as a result, had a field day against the Wildcate front court. Rontei Clarke and Kellen Dunham each had efficient games, scoring 13 and 11 points respectivley, and Clarke was limited by some foul trouble in the 2nd half. Butler played 6-10 points ahead for most of the 2nd half. It's a great win for the Bulldogs as they continue to find their chemistry and gel together, and as they go into next Saturday's matchup against #1 Indiana.

The Gonzaga Bulldgos are currently playing on ESPN2 right now against Illinois. So if you are still up, like Jimmy and I have been saying, go and watch Gonzaga!

Rotnei Clark and the Butler Bulldogs knocked off number one ranked Indiana in overtime today. The game as very enjoyable from a caste perspective as both teams are very white friendly. I was rooting for Butler though and they played 5 whites at the same time for long periods of the game and four guys at other times. What a game. I will let JimmyChitwood or one of the college basketball experts do a better write up. This game was very fun to watch!

I have noticed over the last decade a revival of white american born basketball players and all I can say is that it's about time!

Wow! What a game today! I really enjoyed this game today too. It was a very exciting, back and forth game. The refs allowed some physical play during the game, and it made for a great game. Butler played very physical and played great team defense, and it seemed to bother Indiana at times, and the Bulldogs worked harder on the glass, outrebounding the Hoosiers 37-31. The Bulldogs had some great play by Rotnei Clarke, Andrew Smith, and Erik Fromm. Roosevelt Jones(black) played great too. Butler won despite the refs fouling out Smith, Fromm, and Jones. Clarke sank some important and impressive shots, but none more big than the deep 3 in overtime to bring Butler to within one. Clarke finished with a game high 19 points. Erik Fromm had 10 points off the bench, to go along with 5 big offensive rebounds. Andrew Smith had a gritty game with 12 points and 9 rebounds, and 2 blocks. Smith also played terrific defense on Cody Zeller, stifling him for a big part of the game and holding him to 4 rebounds. Chase Stigall hit a very important three that gave Butler the lead during overtime. The shot of the night has to go to walk-on Alex Barlow, who sank a game winning running layup with 2.3 seconds left to go.

Indiana had a good game from Cody Zeller, who finished with 18 points and 5 rebounds. Jordan Hulls struggled today, going 4-11 from the field and 0-2 from beyond the arc. Hulls appeared to be frustrated all night by Butler's defense, and he missed a couple of open looks. The high flying Will Sheehey finished with 13 points. All around, one of the most exciting college basketball games I've watched in a while.

No. 22 Notre Dame rolled over the lesser talented IPFW Mastodons tonight. The Fighting Irish's 3 white starters were all in double digits in scoring tonight, led by Pat Connoughton with 18 points(on 7-9 shooting), 6 rebounds, and 5 assists. Jack Cooley had his workmanlike game with 14 points and 8 rebounds, and Scott Martin had 13 points and 7 rebounds. Garrick Sherman came off the bench for 8 points and 4 rebounds.

Jim Boeheim just won his 900th career game too. Congratulations to Boeheim on the great accomplishment, and every single one of his games have been at Syracuse!

I noticed that as well, Liverlips! I think Jimmy said the only black player that gets meaningful minutes for BYU this year is power forward Brandon Davies. The other black guy I believe only plays a minute or two per game.

BYU has started off very well tonight! They're up 19-8 on Baylor so far! Athletic two-guard Tyler Haws has been playing great so far.

Gonzaga 's most recent real game was a week ago today (i'm ignoring their stat-stuffer "contest" against Campbell), but no one has posted about it ... and it was a potentially pivotal game in the transition of Kelly Olynyk from talented role player to playmaking big man.

in the matchup against Kansas State, Olynyk was simply dominant.

the Canadian came to Gonzaga as a 7-footer with perimeter skills who was afraid of contact and terrified of the paint. apparently during his redshirt year, Kelly absolved himself of those fears whilst falling in love with the weight room. he is FAR more physical this season, and it shows in his attacking the rim with aplomb.

in 19 minutes (he also started) against K-State, Olynyk went 10-13 from the floor, throwing down 4 dunks (including a rim-shattering affair that made Sportscenter's Top 10 and drew a technical after he stared down the negro who'd wrestled him to the floor on the two previous trips down the court) and scoring 20 points.

and speaking of a high-flying, dominating performance, Iowa sophomore Aaron White threw down 6 dunks against Coppin State today (in a 30-point Hawkeye win), en route to a 20-point performance in which he only missed 1 of his 8 field goal attempts.

for those who've not had the pleasure of watching him play, White is a slashing, air-walking 6-8 forward who attacks the rim as if it recently insulted his mother. his aggressive playing style has resulted in his leading the Big Ten conference in free throw attempts this season.

in addition to having a strong mid-range game and 3-point range, this is what Aaron White routinely brings to the table:

as a team, Iowa has been playing good basketball of late. they are very young, with 4 underclassmen in their starting five, including 3 freshmen. 3 of their starters are White (the aforementioned White who is a sophomore, freshman point guard Mike Gesell, and freshman 7-foot center Adam Woodbury). perhaps the two best players off the bench are White athletes: guard/forward Eric May and power forward Zach McCabe. sharpshooting guard Josh Oglesby is deadly from long range and averages over 16 minutes a game, but he has been hobbled by back spasms.

all in all, Iowa plays 9 players an average of 16 minutes-per-game or more, and 6 of them are White.

Indiana State knocked off Ole Miss of the SEC in overtime, behind the stellar play of flashy point guard Jake Odum. Odum finished with 16 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists, 2 steals, and 1 blocked shot. it was only the second loss of the season for Ole Miss.

Oklahoma State's sharpshooting freshman guard P Forte continues to play good basketball. he finished with a game-high 22 points on 7 of 13 shooting today in a Cowboys win. he added 4 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 steal in the game.

up next for the Cowboys is Gonzaga on New Year's Eve.

Thanks for posting about Iowa and Gonzaga, Jimmy! Those highlights were pretty impressive! Iowa definetly seems like an up and coming team, and one to follow.

No. 19 Butler held off a pesky Evansville team yesterday, 75-67. Rotnei Clarke and Andrew Smith led Butler with 20 points each yesterday, including Clarke sinking some free throws to help Butler hold on. Clarke also made some nice 3 pointers yesterday, and made some nice drives to the basket. Smith also had 6 boards, 4 assists, 2 blocks, and 1 steal. Freshman sharpshooter Kellen Dunham chipped in 13 points and 5 rebounds. Butler is playing some good basketball right now, they are gelling with each other right now, and if you get a chance to watch Butler, do so. Andrew Smith has really gotten better, and more physical as the year has gone on; he is playing some nice basketball right now. Kellen Dunham is really developing into a nice player too. Butler plays Vanderbilt next Saturday on ESPNU. If you want to see a team that plays a lot of great white athletes, watch Butler.

Evansville's best players are white: Colt Ryan carried his team yesterday with 25 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, and 5 steals. He really is a complete player for the Purple Aces. Big man Ryan Sawvell also had a nice game for Evansville, with 10 points and 6 rebounds.



Jack Cooley and Notre Dame rolled over another inferior team Friday; it was Niagra this time. Notre Dame dominated 89-67, and Jack Cooley was a big reason why. Cooley completely dominated Niagra, having 24 points, 15 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 blocks. Pat Connaughton also had a nice game, with 8 points, 6 assists, and 9 rebounds.


3 point sharpshooter Scott Wood played great in NC State's win yesterday against Saint Bonaventure, with 23 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists. Wood is an integral part in NC State's success; if he hits his shots, NC State is really hard to beat.
