Tight end was about the only "White bastion" left on the Rooney Rule team, but even that's changing. The race to the bottom with the Bucs continues.

Steelers signed TE John Gilmore, formerly of the Bucs. The Steelers needed a backup for Heath Miller after losing free agent Matt Spaeth to the Bears last week. Gilmore will fill a blocking-only role.

There's an article up on the Post-Gazette site talking about the Steelers' need at WR since Randle-El was booted, and with Ward and Sanders banged up. It goes through a number of black "options," bemoans the fact the jailbird Burress signed elsewhere, and nutcase Sweed just hasn't been able to put it together, but never once mentions Tyler Grisham or Eric Greenwood.

The Steelers (Coal Miners) were one team that voted against ratification of the new CBA. This snippet from the short article is very telling:

"Why did the Steelers go against the grain? Many players are not thrilled with the way discipline issues will be handled. Some are a little apprehensive about new testing for HGH."

It looks like Heath Miller may be used even more as a blocker with the sumo line struggling.

Heath Miller has been lining up in the backfield "more than ever" this training camp.

The Steelers' have major concerns along their offensive line, meaning Miller will be asked to block plenty. On passing downs, it looks like they are planning on leaving him in as a protector. He's a poor bet to top last year's meager 42 catches for 512 yards.

Now the Post Gazette has done the right thing with a good story about how much Heath Miller means to the offense as a TE/WR and, finally, talking about Tyler Grisham's improving chances of making the team with his outstanding camp performance so far. (Of course, he's only getting the chance because they've been turned down by a million FA black WRs.) But let's hope for the best.

Don't forget to mention the WRs the Steelers do have, like Limas Sweed and Arnaz Battle to compete with. They suck so bad even Tomlin has to take notice of Grisham, which would be a huge upset to Tomlin's "dream team."

Well, Grisham's chance to make the 53-man roster appears done just 24 hours after the positive article in the PG. The Steelers have signed Jerrico Cotchery and basically guaranteed him the 5th WR spot. Barring new injuries, the team will probably go with Ward, Wallace, Sanders, Brown, Cotchery and Battle(who's supposed to be a special teams star-Tomlin won't even let white players do this in Pgh.) Grisham and Greenwood should just do their best and hope to be picked up by someone else in a few weeks.

Good-bye and good riddance to Limas Sweed! Tomlin and Colbert are probably too preoccupied for the moment, though, with the thought that they might be able to pick up Terrelle Pryor in the supplemental draft.

Leftwich likely done for the year

http://eye-on-football.blogs.cbssports.com/mcc/blogs/entry/22475988/31592295

Posted by Will Brinson

The Pittsburgh Steelers, despite rolling past Atlanta 34-16 on Saturday, suffered some pretty big injuries in their third preseason game. Byron Leftwich, Pittsburgh's backup quarterback, suffered a broken arm against the Falcons and more importantly, Maurkice Pouncey, the team's starting center, injured his left ankle against Atlanta.

Pouncey's injury is obviously more of an immediate concern because he's, you know, starting. But the good news is that it's just a sprained ankle, even if it's the same injury he dealt with at the Super Bowl last year.

"Yes," Tomlin said about it being the same, much-talked-about injury from 2010. "Sometimes you break up scar tissue on an existing injury. It’s very painful with a lot of discomfort, but nothing long term."

Pouncey's reportedly good to go for Week 1 and given that he's got nearly two weeks until the September 11 opener, that doesn't really seem like a stretch. But for anyone who forgot all the attention that Pouncey's ankle got for two weeks leading up to the Super Bowl, you may get a quick reminder if this injury keeps cropping up throughout the season.

Not so much for Leftwich -- he's likely only to be the focal point for a few days, given that he's likely going to miss the entire season with the broken arm suffered Saturday night.

"We've gone through this several times over the last few years," said Mike Tomlin about Leftwich's injury. “It’s going to be a factor here moving forward."

Moving forward will heavily involve Charlie Batch and Dennis Dixon should the nightmare scenario of Ben Roethlisberger suffering an injury occur. You'll recall that Dixon previously requested a trade and then rescinded such a request.

The two backups were scheduled to fight it out for the third-string quarterback gig, but now both should be locked onto the roster.

Of course, last season with Roethlsberger suspended and Leftwich hurt, Batch stepped right in and helped keep the Steelers afloat til Ben returned.

But that doesn't mean the Steelers want that to happen. And the biggest fear of these two injuries combined is that with Pouncey's ankle busted up, Pittsburgh's that much closer to seeing Roethlisberger take a hit that'll bring Batch into the game.

Tyler Grisham's probably down to his last few days as a Steeler. I doubt they will keep him, and it would be better for him to move elsewhere where he might get a chance.

It's telling to me that the Steelers have only two TEs, Miller and backup black Johnson, and they somehow can't find a third. The NFL is overflowing with quality white TEs. Tomlin and Colbert must be hard at work with their black TE list.

It's official..

Leftwich placed on IR: The Steelers placed QB Byron Leftwich on injured reserve on Friday. Leftwich suffered a broken arm in the Steelers’ third preseason game against the Atlanta Falcons and will miss the 2011 season.
(Updated 09/02/2011)

Will we witness the fragility of Dennis Dixon next?

Grisham cut, 3 white O-linemen cut, as expected. The Steelers will keep Big Ben, Miller, Legursky, P/K/LS, Smith, Keisel and (maybe) Hoke. At most, 9 white men on the 53-man roster, perhaps one or two fewer considering the age and/or injury issues with Smith and Hoke. The only way I can see them with another white player is if they pick up one at TE, and they seem determined to use two blacks as backups there.

Truly sickening. As someone who is from Pittsburgh and loved their 1970s dynasty, this is hard to stomach. The organization went downhill racially quickly the day Bill Cowher was hired after the '91 season, but Cowher is a white supremacist compared to Mike Tomlin. Disgusting.

I don’t care what anybody says, I still contend it was bad form for Mike Tomlin to get out there and perform at halftime of Super Bowl XLV with his team in the locker room and trailing the Packers at that point.

Haha, nice observation. Those two no-talent needle-d*cks have the same pubic-hair-ridden “chin strap†curving around their chubby black faces.

With any luck, Rooney Rat’s will finally falter under Tomlin’s tutelage, causing more Jesse Jackson-style “Afro-outburstsâ€â€¦

Grisham finds a home on the practice squad for the umpteenth year, and the Steelers also sign OL John Malecki to the unit.

It looks like 11 white men out of 61 between the 53-man roster and the practice squad.

I just checked their roster and found a whopping 8 white players listed on the active. That has to be a new low, even for this racist, affirmative action league. Don't forget one of those 8 is a kicker. I'm sure the DWF's wouldn't care if the team was coal black. Keisel and Smith are both getting up there in age so the team will get blacker.

We are looking at five white starters, Big Ben,Heath Miller, and Legursky on offense and Smith and Keisel on defense. This is more white starters than quite a few teams though. When are people going to wake up?

As far as I can tell, there are 6 real white players on the roster: the 5 you mention above plus backup NT Chris Hoke. I guess the K/P/LS also count, and the two on the PS make 11. A pathetic #, and once Smith and Hoke are gone by year's end, the 2012 version of the Coal Miners will be almost coal-black, as the dream of the Rooneys, Colbert, Tomlin et al. comes true.

Caste Football Looks at the 2011 Pittsburgh Steelers

Chuck Noll's Super Bowl teams of the 1970's had around 11-13 white starters on them. His teams into the 1980's were still fairley white friendly. When Chuck Noll following the 1991 season, a young Bill Cowher sent the Steeler's into full bore caste mode. Cowher stuck RB Merril Hoge at FB and had an all-black offensive line. Cowher mellowed out somewhat during his last few years as head coach, even getting up to twenty whites on the roster at one point in 2004. Since Mike Tomlin replaced Cowher after the team's win in Super Bowl XL, the Steelers have competed annually for the league's blackest team award.

Pittsburgh has just 9 white players on their roster this year, including the P/K/LS. QB Ben Roethlisberger is in his 7th season in the league and is one of the best QBs in the league. He is also one of the most mobile QBs in the league, making play after play out of the pocket. He has to be, because his O-Line never gives him very much time in the pocket. The Steelers better hope Ben doesn't get hurt, because his backups are: Charlie Batch, who pulls his hamstring or breaks his ankle while he's jogging onto the field, and Dennis Dixon, who's equally as frail.

Mike Tomlin's all-black O-Line has been put on hold for this year, with Doug Legursky taking the RG spot during the preseason. Legursky, in his 3rd year out of Marshall is a good player, but has been jerked around by Mike Tomlin, who tries to demote him, but Legursky always seems to get back into the starting lineup. WR Tyler Grisham is back on the practice squad again this year. He was going to make the roster, but Tomlin couldn't allow this, and the team promptly signed black retread WR Jericho Cotchery. Greg Warren returns to be the Steelers long snapper this year.

Aaron Smith continues to start at DE for the Steelers, and is still playing at a high level entering his 13th year in the league. He's only been named to one Pro Bowl though, even though he's really valuable to the Steeler's defense. When Smith's been injured, the Steeler's run defense has struggled at times. Brett Keisel is in his 10th year in the league out of BYU, and is the team's other start a DE, forming a rare white bookend tandem. Keisel just got a new contract, so he'll be around for a few more years. NT Chris Hoke is in his 10th year of BYU as well, and is more athletic than the morbidly obese starter Casey Hampton. Hoke's play is better than Hampton's, but Hampton gets all of the recognition and Pro Bowls.

Shaun Suisham is the team's kicker, and Daniel Sepulveda is the punter. With all of the Steeler's white D-Lineman on the wrong side of 30, and no new white players being drafted or brought in, the Steelers small contigent of white players is likely to get even smaller in the next few years. 9 of the team's 16 coaches are white though.

Number of White Starters: 5

Number of White Players on the Roster: 9

Grade: F-

Nice report, JL.

The lily-white Afromaniacs that comprise the perpetually-loathsome fan base known as “Steeler Nation” certainly won’t resent the fact that a paltry 9 (3 of whom are a lowly kicker, punter, and long snapper) out of 53 members of “their team” are white men. Below is the entire roster, in case anyone is interested...

Quarterback: Ben Roethlisberger, Dennis Dixon, Charlie Batch

Running Back: Rashard Mendenhall, Issac Redman, Mwelde Moore, Jonathan Dwyer

Tight End: Heath Miller, David Johnson, Weslye Saunders

Wide Receiver: Hines Ward, Mike Wallace, Emmanuel Sanders, Antonio Brown, Jerricho Cotchery, Arnaz Battle

Offensive Line: Jonathan Scott, Chris Kemoeatu, Maurkice Pouncey, Doug Legursky, Willie Colon, Marcus Gilbert, Ramon Foster, Trai Essex, Chris Scott

Defensive Tackle: Casey Hampton, Chris Hoke, Steve McClendon

Defensive End: Aaron Smith, Brett Keisel, Cameron Heyward, Ziggy Hood

Linebacker: LaMarr Woodley, James Harrison, Chris Carter, Jason Worilds, Lawrence Timmons, James Farrior, Larry Foote, Stephenson Sylvester

Defensive Backs: Troy Polamalu, Will Allen, Ryan Clark, Ryan Mundy, Ike Taylor, Bryant McFadden, Curtis Brown, Keenan Lewis, Cortez Allen, William Gay

Specialists: Shaun Suisham, Daniel Sepulveda, Greg Warren

Remarkably, 5 out of the 6 “real” white players remaining on the Steelers abhorrently anti-white roster are “starters.” 35-year old DE, Aaron Smith, in particular, is entering the very twilight of career with the Steelers. 32-year old DE, Brett Keisel, is a popular and productive player who is currently signed through 2014.

Dan Rooney, a lifelong “silver spoon rich boy” is now a withered, emaciated, elderly, reptilian Negro-devotee, a revolting Anti-White Political Bureaucrat and forefather of the bigoted “Rooney Rule.” He is certainly the most vile owner (along with his little rodent of a son, Art II) currently poisoning any NFL franchise...

Certainly to the MSM and billions of their sheep, the Rooney's are racial "heroes" that have put aside tribal considerations to part with some their great wealth and to embrace blacks as "family". The fans in Pittsburgh are to be commended for supporting a sports team that doesn't look like them with religious ferver merely because they get to cheer along on Sundays as they WINNNNNN!!!!!

Apart from the fact that the Rooneys would be more sympathetic if in their lust for diversity they would try to be more a little more diverse ie have at least a modicum of white players on their roster; there is also the issue that the blacks they support actually are often fairly crappy individuals. The Rooneys don't even judge men by the content of their chararcter but rather the color of thier skin. St Martin should be appalled!!

Cedrick Wilson: punching his ex-girlfriend in the face. Hines Ward jailed for DUI

James Harrison beat up his wife or girlfriend or whatever the status is of his trophy white concubine female.

Najeh Davenport: beating up his baby mama.

(those are just off the top of my head)

I guess when you just care about skin color it doesn't make a difference if they're POS or not?

Well, Tomlin and Colbert's lack of drafted very many talented players (besides Woodley and Mike Wallace) has caught up to them this year, with all of Bill Cowher's draft picks and players like Polamalu, Aaron Smith, Keisel, Farrior, Miller, and of course Big Ben not getting any younger, and it showed today.

I also saw that Jerricho Cotchery is already hurt. Another terrible signing by Tomlin and co. They have a capable WR in their pactice squad, but in Tomlin's eyes, Grisham doesn't exsist.

With their nearly all-black line failing, the Steeler's offense sputtered. In addition, the defense looked really slow today. I and a few other posters have said this, and I'll say it again, Tomlin and Colbert make Cowher look like a white supremacist by comparision. Well, the Rooney's have their dream team, I hope they're happy with it.

If the defense continues to struggle, and we'll find out more next week, the MSM and the Steeler Nation DWFs will be quick to try to pin a lot of the blame on Smith, Keisel and Hoke up front. Smith and Hoke will be lucky to make it through the season-I was surprised Tomlin brought them back in the first place-and I've repeatedly said the past couple years that they'll find a way to get rid of Keisel as soon as possible. They will do their best to have an all-black D next year-starters and scrubs.

On offense, I've seen a lot of people on other sites piling on Legursky already, saying that he should only be on the field as an injury replacement at C. They'll run him off as soon as they can; I doubt he's around next year. Once Big Ben goes down-and he will-there will be nothing but incompetent black subs to take his place. The same thing will happen to Miller at TE.

In 2-3 years, the more I think about it and look at the organization from top to bottom, they really could be down to P/K/LS for their white squad members. Could it possibly get this bad and the MSM and the Steeler DWFs would continue to turn a blind eye to the blatant racism of the Steeler organization?

I'm hoping for as many losses as possible this year. And it will be interesting to see what follows.

OL Sumo Willie Colon plays one game in two years and is back on IR with a torn triceps. Somehow after missing all of last season, it was essential for Tomlin and Colbert to get him back for a few more years and many millions of $. His contract was as dumb as the one they gave Kendall Simmons a few years ago, and then refused to pay Alan Faneca.

But not to worry as the Steelers have all sorts of black options to man the OT spot in his absence...rookie Marcus Gilbert, Flozell Adams, Max Starks....
