Don't ever doubt that they're the world's greatest athletes.

i popped in to grab a bite of lunch today, and the restaurant had the Bills game on ... i only saw a couple of plays, but about the second or third was Spiller running down the sideline. Fitzpatrick (i think?) hit him perfectly in stride, whereupon Spiller promptly not only dropped the ball but also fell completely down.

this prompted the idiot commentators to "defend" Spiller by claiming that, "He didn't have control of his legs that entire play, and that caused him to be unable to catch the ball."

seriously, WTF?

the play and the idiocy resonating from the idiot box reminded me of yesterday's Arkansas game wherein wide receiver Joe Adams dropped a perfectly thrown ball for a would-have-been huge gain. on that occasion, the commentator defended the phenomenally affletic and room-brightening drop by insisting, "It looked like the ball hit him perfectly in the numbers (Adams wears #3), but that catch was actually much more difficult than meets the eye."

i turned to my brother and added, "More than meets the eye? What, were the Decepticons shooting lasers at him?"

The league's ridiculously small contingent of White defensive players shone brightly yet again today.

Don't ever doubt that they're the world's greatest athletes.

Rams coach Steve Spagnuolo revealed after Sunday's game that Cadillac Williams suffered his calf injury "going out onto the field." It sounds like Williams strained the calf running from the sideline to the huddle, rather than during an offensive play. It's bad luck, but probably more predictable for a running back whose body has fallen apart at age 29. Williams did not return to the game and is uncertain to play going forward.

I saw the pre-game predictions today on both BSPN and NBC. All five on BSPN (Berman, Ditka, Johnson, Carter, Jackson) picked the Jets, as did both Dungy and Harrison on NBC. Zero for seven.

Yall are on top of it!

Nice pick six by Ninkovich on Dirty Sanchez! Gronkowski is a beast!

Woodhead is the hot-back tonight; 6 carries/32 yards..yet he comes out...Faulk, Law-firm & Ridley combined 14 for 20...

Decker's 56 yard TD catch from Tebow was nice!

Good to see the Texans hammer the Bucs!

Green-Ellis now has more carries than Woodhead and about a fourth of the yards.

As I said that Woodhead got another carry added 6 yards whereas Green-Ellis wasn't getting anything.

why is Green-Ellis still getting carries tonight, when Woodhead is so much more successful?

44 yards from scrimmage on 8 touches for the night. Hopefully he can at least get over 500 yards from scrimmage this season, he was at 245 before the game. If Bellicheck was smart he would give him at least 15 touches a game, but at this rate 500 yards is a realistic goal being that there have been games with 2 or less touches. Lawfirm now with 8 carries for 8 yards, Ridley with 5 carries for 4 yards, Faulk with 5 carries for 8 yards.

Log this into the caste football archives. A white man takes the field as a CB in the NFL in 2011. Julian Edelman lines up at corner at the end of the game and delivers a blow on the first play.

How GREAT it was to see Edelman playing CB and doing a really nice job! Proof that the Pats are one of the few white friendly teams!

I totally agree, I think Belichick is one of, if not the only colorblind coach in the NFL. He realizes that Edelman is his most athletic receiver and used him when they needed a corner.

The Patriots also used linebacker Jeff Tarpinian alot, don't know if he started though. For at least one play Ventrone was also in at safety. And last but not least Koutivedes, who had just been signed last week, recovered the Mcknight fumble.

When they showed the starting lineups Tarpinian was in it.

When you look at the plays made by White defensive players the last couple of weeks especially (and really most of the season), and combine it with the huge number of black defensive busts each year (Vernon Gholston, Aaron Curry, Gerald McCoy, Gaines Adams, etc, etc), not to mention worthless bums like Haynesworth who get recycled over and over, it goes to show you that without AA in this corrupt league, at least 50-60% of all defensive players ought be White. The numbers would be even higher on offense.

In fact, in a fair world, the current 70/30 ratio would be reversed at a minimum.

Yep, I've generally estimated that the NFL should be around 80 percent White, a little less than what MLB would be without its AA for hispanics and the few black Americans who show any aptitude for baseball.

The Tebow story is rapidly making the absurd Hillis drama disappear into the back of the B section of the paper. The msm simply doesn't know how to cover this story, because they've sold the public forever on the concept that the greatest barometer of judging any QB is "winning," and this guy they all claim "can't play" is doing just that.

Has there ever been a coach so clearly and unequivocally trying not to let his player succeed than John Fox? This guy is using the most one dimensional offense football has seen since Woody Hayes, and only slightly more diversified than the pre-Knute Rockne era. How can any team allow an opponent to do nothing but run the ball up the middle, over and over again, and yet not adjust their defense? The Chiefs were pathetic to allow third stringer Lance Ball to just run all over them, when they should have had nine men in the box. I think they could have left the WRs uncovered, and Fox still would have run it.

Also, did you see John Elway on the sidelines? Even Broncos fans on their forums were remarking on how mad he looked that HIS team was winning. He certainly didn't look the way he should have in such a situation. Clearly, Elway and Fox did everything they could to sabotage Tebow, to set him up for failure, so they could thereby tell his fans, "See, we gave him a chance and he proved that we we were right- he can't play." The problem is, despite a Pop Warner-style reactionary playbook, and no support from his coaches, Tebow is somehow winning games. It's a remarkable story, and we can all only hope it continues. Still, I wouldn't wait for Hoge, Chris Carter and co. to admit they were wrong. Instead, maybe ESPN will simply just stop reporting on the Broncos' games, kind of like how the msm reacts to Ron Paul's straw poll wins.

Good to see Woodhead lead the Patriots in rushing, although Belichick seems to get off on just switching things up every game, perhaps in part to screw with fantasy owners. I think Shanahan does it for the same reason. It's hard to understand how such instability on offense can be considered a good thing by any coaching staff. Also, I have had all I can take of the ridiculous "Revis Island" propaganda. The NFL loves to come up with these alleged "lock down" cornerbacks, and then all opposing teams proceed to let them play game after game without even being challenged. Deion Sanders made a career out of not being thrown on because he was just so "great." I'd like to see one of these guys actually SHOW us all how great they are by breaking up passes, intercepting, etc. But it wouldn't have mattered, anyhow, because if Welker did something, the announcers would simply have lied and claimed that Revis somehow wasn't responsible, like they did during his 73 yard catch the last time they played.

It was great to see Cleveland lose. Shurmur is perhaps the lamest coach this league has ever seen. Most coaches play not to lose, instead of to win, but Shurmur gives new meaning to all that. He actually handed the ball off to third string TE Alex Smith in the red zone, with the game on the line yesterday. He's not only helped to screw Hillis over royally, he's also caused Colt McCoy to regress completely. McCoy finally came out yesterday and stated the obvious- that he isn't allowed to call audibiles. Yeah, that brilliant, always run the ball up the middle on EVERY first down, and package of 3 yard passes into the stacked front of the opposing defense is certainly working wonders, isn't it? They haven't scored a TD in the first and third quarters all season. Yet Mangini was fired as coach.

It's also great to see the implosion of the "Dream Team." I'm waiting for the media to start criticizing Vick's horrific play this season. Also nice to see Tampa Bay back where they belong, and Josh Freeman looking more like he did during his terrible rookie season, which resulted somehow in him not being quickly labeled a "bust." Now if Cam Newton can continue to backslide, and compile 25-30 interceptions on the season to go with his 2 wins as a starter, then we will all really be happy. But it won't matter, because no matter how he plays the rest of this season, the media will continue to claim he's great and he will be handed the rookie of the year award over Andy Dalton.

Minnesota's offensive coordinator claimed, after last week's game, that they were planning on getting Toby Gerhart more touches in the second half of the season. We'll see about that, but even 10 touches a game would be very nice at this point. I would never wish for any player to be injured, but Gerhart is the most talented of all the white backs, imho, and thus his lack of use is even more frustrating than watching Leonard sit on the bench behind thug turds like Benson and Scott, Hester block for Tubby Tolbert and Woodhead play second fiddle to Granpa Faulk.

All in all, though, decent outcomes in yesterday's games.

Good morning Gentlemen,

Just a few thoughts on the Patriots. From what I see you write, it seems Woodhead isn't getting into the game enough. Possibly you're correct. But I didn't see the game and I only saw highlights on NFL.COM. Here's my take on the situation. I think Belichek uses the running back position as a deception to work in his other White players. He's not a dumb man. He knows how blacks are and if they see a guy like Danny doing all sorts of great things, along with all the other White players on the team, the blacks may quietly lay down on the team. That's the way they do things. So, as long as the game is in hand, I think Belichek will give the black rb's more carries. I'm glad he's trying to do something with Edleman (he should keep his paws off women). Edelman is some athlete. Ninkovich looked pretty good as well.

That's my take on it anyway.

Tom Iron.

Rob Gronkowski has 709 receiving yards on the season and should go over 1,000 yards. He's ninth in the NFL in receiving yards. I'm happy he's proven all the doubters wrong that thought he'd never be the same player after the back injury. He's probably the best tight end in the game at this point, even better than Witten and Clark. Congratulations to Welker on going over 1,000 yards on the season.

Just heard "old school" Mike Ditka manage to be about as Castean as possible during his appearance on "Mike and Mike."

The odious Greenie actually set him up perfectly to compliment Rob Gronkowski, noting that Gronk broke Ditka's record for most TDs by a TE in his first two years last night, and asked him, "What do you think of that Brady to Gronkowski connection, Coach?" Ditka astutely steered things away from Gronkowski, quickly coupling him with Hernandez, who was nearly invisible last night. Then he managed to get in a dig at the Jets' white safety tandem, saying that their inability to cover was the reason for Gronk's success.

I really wish this thoroughly despicable "hard ass" had married his true love Ricky Williams.

While I think it's fantastic that White athletes are logging in some absolutely staggering performances despite their [relatively] few numbers in the league, I think right now, with America the way it is, we're not going to see a sudden "awakening" among the fans, coaches, and even the players, be they the Black players or even the White players themselves.

It's because for half a century Whites have been conditioned to view their own dominance or preeminence in anything as the result of racism and White privilege, thus any renewed increase in their numbers in college, the executive boardroom, or the athletic field is considered a regression and return to racism.

Blacks, logically [to them, anyway] will of course cry foul if their own numbers take a hit and more Whites are hired on.

That would be "racist".

So, White America has basically learned to acquire, incredibly, a new instinct, namely the instinct of shooting itself in its own foot.

Bigunreal, your prediction that an excuse would be made for Revis came true. Weenieworld claims Welker's catches only came because Revis was busy with Gronkowski.
Shadowed by CB Darrelle Revis for most of the evening, Wes Welker was held to six catches for 46 yards in Sunday's win over the Jets.

Welker was more or less singled up on Revis Island tonight, occasionally breaking open when Revis was distracted by towering tight end Rob Gronkowski. Although still leading the NFL in catches and receiving yards, Welker has now been held to 46 yards or fewer in three of his past four games. He will have a more favorable matchup against Chiefs slot CB Javier Arenas in Week 11.
