Sport Historian,

Tptb certainly weren't happy with last year's final teams. My point is that these games are officiated in such a way as to try, as best the referees can, to manipulate the results in favor of the blacker teams. The black players still have to make the shots, and even if they give them five times the number of free throw attempts as the whiter team, they still have to make those shots.

So, it is possible for even an all white team to win the NCAA championship, imho. However, the odds are always heavily stacked against that, thanks to how the games are officiated. When a Kemba Walker can be permitted to take FIVE full steps on two seperate occasions in a game, and actually be rewarded each time with free throws, while a Jimmer Fredette can be whistled for a totally bogus "traveling" call at a crucial point in overtime, you start to understand the extent of the problem.

Officials at all levels of competitive basketball call the games based on "street" rules. In other words, the way blacks want to play the game. No traveling. No palming. No carrying the ball. No offensive fouls for flying elbows. Lots of "incidental contact" permitted. As the DWFs and jock-sniffers say, "let them play!" "Them," of course, meaning the black players. No one "lets" whites play.

Last year's tournament gave me hope that it IS possible for teams with a lot of white players to succeed at the college level. However, we just won't see that happen much at all as long as the games are officiated in such a way that white players are not allowed to play "tough" defense, while black players can assault white opponents without the refs blowing a whistle, and black players can travel, plam and carry the ball at will, while whites will be whistled for far less flagrant violations.

I have changed my perspective a great deal at this point. I now feel that these young white players are made of exceptional stuff, to be able to handle not only the barbs of the DWFs and black opponents and the ridicule of the jock-sniffing "journalists," but to attempt to play each game with a figurative hand tied behind their backs, thanks to the incredible double standard applied by EVERY referee. It must be very difficult to compete under those conditions.

Thus I congratulate Jimmer Fredette and every other white player on the most diverse teams in this tournament. They are profiles in courage.

bigunreal,

Bear with me.. I think some people are missing the "big picture."

If I was to ask anyone/someone on this site to make a list of "Top Bell Curve blacks" in college basketball right now, I'm damn confident that this list would be quite short.. IMO, this is progress in itself.

I continue to be amazed at all of the "UNDERSIZED" blacks I see on MAJOR programs. I actually heard Jay Bilas say, a week ago, that there is clearly a "talent drain" in the NCAAs, and the panel criticized the "style of play" in the NCAAs. From the way they were talking and their tones, I got the distinct impression that they were implying that basketball has become BORING and UNEXCITING.. and they were worried about this.

What does this have to do with Whites? I think more Whites are getting an opportunity, and from watching A LOT of regular season college basketball this year, I felt that the refs were quite fair in their officiating of Whites. I'm not totally sure why this was, but that's the way I saw it.

IMO, The "Butler story" is a great story. Josh Harrellson finally getting an opportunity for Kentucky is a good story. As for Chandler Parsons, it wasn't that long ago where he seemed stagnant.. he wasn't "developing" IMO, but he's shining now. Billy Donovan did stick with him!

I agree with Jimmy Chitwood about Kyle Collinsworth, and Jackson Emery is good as well, but some of these teams' (Notre Dame included) AREN'T getting the best White bigs. Honestly, this is something that can be FIXED!

If year-in-and-year-out, there are a HANDFUL of TOP black teams, only a HANDFUL, I don't think there is really anything to get down about. If SOME blacks can actually ball, that DOESN'T ROCK what this site stands for, NOT ONE BIT! The myth that says "EVERY black is good at b-ball" has already been exposed.. and one can also look at the significant number of TERRIBLE NBA teams. And, it's good to see that Whites' have abandoned many of those teams.

As for the Duke Blue Devils, they were supposed to be "UNSTOPPABLE" with Irving, Smith and Curry.. ALL BLACKS mind you, but they weren't. If I said I was upset about the loss, I would be lying. Coach K is not the "mad genius" that he's made out to be.. he let the inmates run the asylum and this is the outcome! Now, onto next year, where the whole team will likely be guard-oriented again, built around Austin Rivers, Seth Curry.. and Irving if he returns to DUKE.. because, haven't you heard, he's already an NBA SUPERSTAR! What, after only 9 or 10 (college) games played. OY!

I should have added some of the specific things they were criticizing.. lack of fundamentals and ball-movement/team play are some of those things.. players' not knowing how to make good, crisp passes. The fact that the game of basketball has become more primitive, and that this is visible, very much so.

Glad to see you've changed your perspective. Regarding pro football, you used to claim that every play was planned out in advance, with the whiter team "getting the short end of the stick." The white players were supposedly in on it, as well.

You cannot fail to have noticed that in last year's NFL playoffs, the whitest team in the league beat in order, the Eagles, Bears, and Steelers to win the Super Bowl.

BYU lost to Florida because they missed a lot of open shots and were blown out (or ran out of gas) in overtime.

BYU got the short end of the stick in the first half and early second half. There was the foul early in the game that took Emery out of the game and resulted in a complaining tech foul. There was also the two farce fouls on Jimmer. I also thought that Jimmer should have been at the line a couple more times in the game.

However, late in the game- BYU got a couple calls and were able to tie it up and send it to OT. In OT BYU just didn't have it like last year. This was a very close game, but it wasn't as if Jimmer would have been at the line 20+ times if he was black bigunreal. BYU missed a lot of open shots.

I do notice that the games are called a little pro big school- or if it's two mid-majors with different racial dynamics it's usually pro black school. I still say the officiating is NOT as biased as it was a few years back though.

As Pistol Pete mentioned, there are plenty of good white American players to get excited about this year. Guard Jimmer Fredette should be a top 10 pick and Ben Hansborough should be a mid 1st round pick if fair. Chandler Parsons, Kyle Singer, Tai Wesley and the Plumlee brothers are great too! We will have other guys like Kyle Kuric to get excited about next year!

BTW, I didn't think Matt Howard was a good NBA prospect last year, but he's improved tremendously in staying out of foul trouble and other areas of his game. I now see him as a late 1st or early 2nd round pick.

We still could have an Ohio State- Butler finals that would feature a lot of good white players. This last year in sports has been great, let's keep our heads up!Edited by: ToughJ.Riggins

Tonight's games don't have a ton of white talent, but North Carolina blew out 100% pure black Marquette behind a magnificent game by pasty-faced Tyler Zellar. In the other game, Kansas smoked the Richmond Black Spiders with honkey (sic)cracker Brady Morningstar leading the scoring for the Jayhawks.

Zeller is having a great tournament so far, I thought he might. At this point, since BYU/ND/Wisconsin are out, if Butler doesn't win I wouldn't be upset if NC wins it all with Zeller leading the way.

Harrelson played great for Kentucky. He was the X Factor there.
Sullinger was good, but nothing special. Not really an athlete, more of a fat-lete. lol

I'd be happy if the either of the following teams win the championship...

North Carolina (Zeller)
Kentucky (Harrellson)
Kansas (Morningstar)
Butler (Howard)
Florida (Parsons)

As long as there's a white guy starting or getting starter minutes. Zeller was part of the 2009 NC Championship team (small though), but him winning it as a starter will boost his own credibility even further.

BYU was Jimmer against the world all season. This playoff game showed that. If he is a little off BYU couldn't win. Also they might have run out of gas because they had about 7 or 8 man rotation. Those extra minutes on their smallish team probably sapped the legs of their guys. Your right about Howard his game has improved a lot. He still might be king without a country though as he is "small" for a power forward in the NBA and doesn't have the quickness to play small forward in the NBA. Hopefully he gets drafted by a team that plays his style of ball ie an Indiana, or Utah if they still play the Sloan style of basketball.

I really like Harrellson's game, but it seems like he and Brady Morningstar talk like "bruthas." Harrellson sounds "more black" than Brandon Knight....

i am currently watching the bastardized version of basketball being portrayed as "elite" by the talmudvision, aka the UConn-Arizona game. needless to say, the announcers are providing an abundance of unintentionally hilarious commentary as they slobber over the appropriate parts of their negro man-crushes. the best two examples of the night thus far were provided by the apparently up-for-the-down-low commentator Bill Raftery:

after UConn freshman Jeremy Lamb had a wide-open breakaway dunk attempt that he MISSED, Rafteryorgasmically exclaimed, "That was a high-level attack of the rim! It was beautiful!"

uh ... yeah. he was describing a missed dunk. a really "beautiful" missed dunk, though.

smiley36.gif

the second-place (thus far) comment was when Raftery insisted that, "UConn is just way too smart for the press to work," after the Huskies' Alex Oriakhimanaged to actually make a wide-open dunk.

no lie. that's what he said. UConn is "too smart." uh ... right.

Raftery is about as bad as it gets. His enthusiasm for the players makes him seem like your typical middle aged guy with a pot belly that thinks every stripper is in love with him for his looks not his wallet. I do love his ethnic NYC accent though...

I'd rather that Arizona win, they have at least one white player (Natyazhko) who gets minutes on the floor, although very limited.

It's now either Kansas, Butler, and North Carolina FTW!!!

now come on, j411181. UConn has a couple of token crackers that get ignored for a couple of minutes a game. Calhoun is nothing if not predictable in his rejection of all things non-affletic.

Whoever the other black? commentator alongside Reggie Miller was during the Butler/ Florida game comments that- Flordia beat BYU thanks to the size and athleticism of Tyus and Maclin, but if it was just backcourt vs. backcourt it probably would be a "draw".

Yeah, Fredette was off from his best player in the country status, but it still was an even game until overtime. How again is a backcourt with the guy who should win the Naismaith award and a very underrated other guard with hops and speed in Jackson Emery not the counter balance that allowed BYU to keep up with Florida's front court for almost the entire game? Kenney Boykin and Watkins of Florida might be athletic, but they make bad decisions with shot selection often. Sounds like an irrational white hating comment to me.

That would be Len Elmore, Tough. Gus Johnson was the play-by-play, and Reggie and Elmore were the color analysts. I actually muted the T.V. a couple times during the game, Elmore is absolutly horrible. As Jimmy C. mentioned, Reggie Miller actually contradicted Elmore a few times, and even said he was dead wrong at times.

I've heard a few black analysts plug Fredette for Player of the Year though. I don't think it was Len Elmore. Greg Anthony was one of the guys who gave Fredette glowing praise. I think Marc Jackson has praised Fredette a lot too.

Florida rubs me the wrong way (several overrated bruthas and the loser DWFs..), and they didn't deserve the "2-seed."

Butler's win was a win for the GOOD GUYS, indeed!!

I don't like how Virginia Commonwealth has made it this far in the NCAA tourney. They are whipping Kansas pretty good right now too. I sure don't like watching them play. They also have a really ugly campus in Richmond and a large chunk of their students are freaks of various types.

Yes if a mid major has a largely Black team the academic standards are probably sub-par for "student athletes".

Well VCU beat Kansas. That sets up an all "Cinderella" semifinal. One of them will advance to the final again. I just found out wigger Shaka Smart is a Mulatto. I figured he was crazy wigger Jewish guy....
