What Mike Tomlin has done to the Pittsburgh Steelers is nothing short of astonishing. Not only are there only 3 white starters, but there are nearly no white backups. Every position held by a white player has a black player waiting in the wings. Tomlin is so close to having an all-black team it's not even funny. I figure a Brett Keisel retierment/free-agent departure, a Heath Miller trade and a Ben Roethlisberger injury (both QB backups are black)are all that seperates Tomlin from African tribal bliss. So glad I hate the Steelers and am not from Pittsburgh.

Here is an article from Blackathlete.net. The writer is a racist professor at Syracuse university. How can he write crap like this and keep his job? Oh yea he's black of course.

He's no token hire</span>
Tomlin's tenure shows the value of diversity in the NFL</span>

NEW YORK</span> (BASN) -- Anyone watching with pride as the Pittsburgh Steelers fought their way
to yet another Super Bowl likely heard a few interesting facts about the
general on the field, Mike Tomlin. </span><br style="font-family: Times New Roman;">

<br style="font-family: Times New Roman;">

Tomlin, at the age of 38, is the
youngest head coach to lead two teams to the Super Bowl. Before that, he
was the youngest head coach to win a Super Bowl. He does this while
sitting at the helm of a storied franchise that has more Super Bowl wins
than any team in NFL history.</span><br style="font-family: Times New Roman;">

<br style="font-family: Times New Roman;">

In other words, the man is a serious
beast. Tomlin's feats are not just impressive for a black coach, they stand
above nearly any coach in NFL history. </span><br style="font-family: Times New Roman;">

<br style="font-family: Times New Roman;">

It is equally ironic that he is
the head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers, whose owner was responsible
for opening the door for black coaches to get a chance in the league.</span><br style="font-family: Times New Roman;">

<br style="font-family: Times New Roman;">

Steelers owner Dan Rooney helped create the Rooney rule, requiring NFL
teams to interview African Americans for head coaching and senior
administrative positions.</span><br style="font-family: Times New Roman;">

<br style="font-family: Times New Roman;">

The NFL must be given tremendous credit for creating avenues for
diversity within its ranks. The contributions of African American
athletes on the field are undeniable, but historical oppression of
people of color has kept doors shut when they should have been opened.

<hr size="1">

The NCAA should also consider its own version of the Rooney rule given
the dearth of black representation in the ranks of college football
coaching.</font></span><br style="font-family: Times New Roman;">

<br style="font-family: Times New Roman;">

In fact, the economic exploitation being committed by the NCAA
is egregious, given that billions are earned on the backs of poor
African American families, with the bulk of that wealth going to a
predominantly white group of university coaches and administrators who
sign multimillion-dollar contracts and then put professional-level
pressure on young men who are trying to be students at the same time.</span><br style="font-family: Times New Roman;">

<br style="font-family: Times New Roman;">

Tomlin's achievements on the field and off match the gritty style of
play of the Steelers and the tough-minded fans of Pittsburgh.
Additionally, the ownership of the Steelers organization has truly
presented itself as a beacon of hope in a world that must find ways to
honestly confront the crippling effects of racial inequality. </span>
<br style="font-family: Times New Roman;">

<br style="font-family: Times New Roman;">

I applaud
Tomlin, the Steelers organization and the incredibly loyal fans for
their amazing achievements. If every organization in America were run
like the Pittsburgh Steelers, our nation would be able to heal from the
damage that was caused by racism.</span></span></font>

After taking over for Bill "I'm Addicted to Kissing Black Athletes"Â Cowturd in early 2007, Mike Tomlin promptly cut John Kuhn during the annual "Great White Roster Purge"Â in August 2007.

Tomlin decided to keep the following players ahead of Kuhn"¦

1) Najeh Davenport â€" Sluggish, chubby, and downright awful during his time as a backup with the Packers. He was once in trouble for breaking into a woman's dorm and defecating (I'm not kidding) into a laundry basket. During his time with the Steelers, he was arrested for domestic violence. He is currently out of football.

2) Carey Davis â€" Plodding and morbidly obese, this loser once "beat out" longtime starting fullback, Dan Kreider. He is currently out of football.

3) Gary Russell â€" Tiny and pudgy (I'm noticing a trend); Russell ran perhaps the slowest 40-yard dash by any running back in NFL combine history after showing up overweight. Russell "flunked out" of the University of Minnesota. He is currently out of football.

4) Verron Haynes â€" A tad faster than the others, but weak and undersized (hey, at least he isn't obese!). He is currently out of football.

All of the abovementioned players were obviously a better choice than the quick, ultra-versatile, supremely tough, ultra-strong John Kuhn. No, his congenital melanin shortage utterly ruined any chance he had of achieving "athleticism."Â

Hopefully, somehow, someway, John Kuhn can extract some sort of beautiful Superbowl revenge against Mike Tomlin, Kevin Colbert, Rooney Inc, and the rest of the simple-minded "Steeler Nation"Â nimrods.Edited by: Thrashen

Whose the most disliked player in the SuperBowl? Big Ben of course.

<h2>Poll: Roethlisberger is most disliked player in Super Bowl</h2>

By Chris Chase</span></span>

No surprise here. According to a recent poll, Ben Roethlisberger(notes)</span> will be the most disliked player in Super Bowl XLV. What, you were expecting Mason Crosby(notes)?</span>

The Hollywood Reporter commissioned a poll by Penn Schoen Berland which revealed that the Pittsburgh Steelers
quarterback will be the least favorite player on the field at Cowboys
Stadium. He is "strongly disliked" three times more than any other
player in the game.

Poll results were released before Big Ben's all-smiles performance at Tuesday's media day.

According
to the survey, Roethlisberger isn't the most disliked player in the
league. He finished fourth overall in that category behind Brett Favre(notes),</span> Michael Vick(notes)</span> and Tom Brady(notes).</span> (Really, people? More of you dislike Brady than Big Ben? Nobody is going to accuse me of being a big fan of adult Bieber, but come on.)

Other
findings in the poll reveal that 78 percent of Americans plan to watch
Sunday's game, more people will be rooting for the Packers, and that men
look forward to the game more than their anniversaries (probably
because they can actually remember the date of the Super Bowl).

all this talk for nothing, i guess:

SI's Peter King says that Doug Legursky played so well in the Super Bowl that Maurkice Pouncey's absence was a "speed bump."

Legursky had constant help, but Packers dominant NT B.J. Raji didn't even make a tackle. It's an impressive performance by the backup as the Steelers allowed just one sack and averaged 5.5 yards per carry. Legursky, an impending exclusive-rights free agent, figures to return as a reserve next season.

i hope Doug can get the hell out of Pittsburgh and go somewhere where he will start. he's still only 24.

Backrow: I hear you. If Tomlin made his decisions based on ability only, Legursky would be the favorite for the right guard position next year after playing well there in 4 starts this one. They'll let him walk as soon as they can and bring in a couple of affletes to backup C and G. Edited by: Van_Slyke_CF

Thanks for the reminders, Thrashen. Unfortunately, John Kuhn didn't play much for the Pack in the Super Bowl, but he was on the winning side!

Well, I guess it's Dick LeBeau's fault Polamalu played bad in the Super Bowl.

From Rotoworld:
Troy Polamalu lined up within five yards of the line of scrimmage on just three of the Steelers' 55 defensive snaps in Super Bowl XLV.
Dick LeBeau got out-coached. Polamalu's strength is in the box, but the Steelers used formations that put him in "centerfield," and he was exposed by the Packers' spread offense. It sounds like Polamalu's ineffectiveness wasn't due to a lingering Achilles' injury. He was simply utilized incorrectly.

Polamalu is the perfect example of the caste system. He's Polynesian and plays a caste position so the media hypes him up more than ever. How many Polynesian receivers do you see in the NFL? I can't think of one. Also, other than Polamalu, I can't think of a single Polynesian cornerback or safety. It's all an act to make us believe that Polynesians can excel at any position in the league.

On the one hand, it's another lame excuse. On the other hand, what does Polamalu's being "exposed" tell you? Isn't playing "center field" a key component of a safety's job?

WR Malcom Floyd of the Chargers is half-black half-Poly. But he proved fragile this season when he had a huge opportunity with Vincent Jackson holding out and the rest of the team's receivers injured at one time or another. And to fans of course he's just another black, as Polamalu probably is to many also.

Mike Tomlin will continue to due his best to rid the team of any pale faces. Weenieworld predicts Aaron Smith may no longer be the starter.

<div ="re">

Steelers DE Aaron Smith has informed coach Mike Tomlin that he intends to fulfill his contract, which runs through 2011.
</div>
<div ="impact">
Tomlin expressed no regret about keeping Smith on the
53-man roster with torn triceps late into the season, despite Smith's
inability to return. If he is brought back at his $4.5 million salary,
Smith will have to fight off Ziggy Hood for a starting job. Hood
finished strong and looks like the early favorite.

Smith's about to turn 35 and has had a number of pretty severe injuries, so though he's had a long career he can't start forever. The thing with the Steeler is they have no young White players in the wings to replace the few White starters they have. They are setting a template of a virtually all-black team for years to come. Although they had a much better season than I thought possible in '10, I still look for them to have tough times ahead, as few of the younger black players appear to have theability of the veterans who are nearing the end of the line.

DWFs across the land will be thrilled to know this:

Hines Ward gets his dancing partner

Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward will be paired with Kym Johnson for the upcoming season of ABC's "Dancing With The Stars." The announcement, which confirmed internet rumors from the past few days, was made during the "Good Morning America" live broadcast just after 8:35 a.m.

Ms. Johnson, who is Australian, won that country's version of DWTS before joining the American show. She and actor/singer Donny Osmond won the Season 9 title in 2009, and she has finished as runner-up twice -- with former N'Sync singer Joey Fatone (Season 4) and football player Warren Sapp (Season 7).
Her other dance partners include talk show host Jerry Springer, Pittsburgh native and sports/cable mogul Mark Cuban and magician Penn Jillette. Last season, she and actor David Hasselhoff were eliminated in the first round.Read more: http://postgazette.com/pg/11061/1129048-67.stm#ixzz1FZRDwnzV

Ho hum. Carnell Lake was recently hired as the latest DB coach for the ever-blackening Steelers. I posted a comment, but Yahoo has me on their *%it list, and scans my messages thoroughly for racial content. Here is what I tried to diplomatically post:

<DIV =mwpphu-info><CITE>FBD<ABBR>a second ago</ABBR></CITE>
<BLOCKQUOTE =posted-message-preview>It's a good hire for the Steelers. Dan Rooney is doing his best to "walk the walk" in regards to his Rooney Rule by hiring nothing but black coaches, to go along with his approaching-100%-black team. Only the future will tell if this is a wise strategy. Meanwhile, his team was recently pummeled in the Super Bowl by the whitest team in the NFL..........</BLOCKQUOTE>
