Collie tears it up! 8 REC, 87 YDS, 2 TD

Collie did all this in just the first half ... before he left the game with about a minute left in the 2nd Quarter with yet another concussion.

let's hope Collie fully recovers. he was absolutely torching the Jaguars before leaving the game. meanwhile, Garcon and Wayne did absolutely nothing.

Over the past nine weeks Jacob Tamme has caught 60 passes, more than anyone else in the NFL during that period.

That is an awesome stat, Don! During that time, Jacob has caught 71.43% of the passes thrown towards him!

The fact that white athletes like Jacob Tamme can come in and produce such outstanding numbers after spending the early parts of their careers as backups shows just how deep the white wide receiver/tight end talent pool is. Numerous other white receivers/tight ends could come in and put up similar numbers if given the opportunity to become starters. Chase Coffman is one that comes to mind.

The Colts have made the playoffs - which is great. They have Francisco and Angerer on defence. They have a mostly white O-line, Peyton of course, and Blair White and Jacob Tamme catching passes. So they are a team to be supported.
But think on this. What would they be like to watch with Antony Gonzalez, Dalas Clark and Austin Collie also available and making plays. That would have been incredible. A lot of the credit needs to go to Bill Polian - whoknows a goog football player when he see one.

Colts signed WR Chris Brooks, DE John Chick and CB Terrence Johnson reserve/future contracts.
<div ="s_pNewsTextMain">
Brooks was active for one game with Indy this year but didn't catch a
pass. Chick drew some buzz during training camp but ultimately didn't
suit up for a single contest. The CFL's former Most Outstanding
Defensive Player is an interesting project, though.
</div>
John Chick is a white defensive end. Knowing how the Colts like their defenses to be almost coal black it's highly unlikely he will get any playing time next season.

Well, you've got to figure that Caldwell likes "speed" defenses, and you can't possibly have a speed defense with a slow white guy on it, right?

The player rep for Peyton Manning expects talks with the Colts to pick up steam in the next week or two.
<div ="s_pNewsTextMain">
Owner Jim Irsay reiterated last week that Manning's new contract will
make him the highest paid player in the league. The sides are expected
to base Manning's contract off of Tom Brady's, and the new deal will
keep Manning in blue and white for the rest of his career.

Watch how much jealousy this stirs up from the bruthas

check out china doll's list of injuries...

Colts released SS Bob Sanders.
The only surprise is that the two sides couldn't come to a mutual agreement on a restructured deal. Sanders, having played just nine games in the past three years, was never going to see the $12.5 million over the final two years of his deal. The two-time All-Pro has undergone multiple knee operations plus surgery to both biceps, a shoulder, and an elbow since winning the 2007 Defensive Player of the Year award. He's going to have to accept an incentive-laden contract with very little guaranteed money on his next contract. The Colts haven't ruled out bringing him back after he explores the free agent market.

I would love to see the Colts snag one of the many talented white tackles in the first round to help protect and keep Peyton Manning healthy. Carimi, Castonzo, Solder, or Lee Ziemba are all possibilities who I think could adjust to the pro game as rookies. Also the Colts need to have a better draft defensively. Now that china doll Sanders is gone maybe they'll spend a pick on a talented safety from Iowa in Tyler Sash.. I can hope can't I?

Even the absolute clown-boy, Mark Schlereth, finally admitted last night on ESPN's "NFL Live"Â￾ that his lover, Boob Sanders, is "very injury prone."Â￾

The standard rolodex of excuses were made, of course. "He's undersized."Â￾ "He plays with reckless abandon."Â￾ "He has total disregard for his body."Â￾

Nine games in three seasons"¦and that statistic gives Sanders "credit"Â￾ for games in which he was hurt immediately (like the 2010 season opener). Edited by: Thrashen

Yeah, I never seemed to hear media stand up for white guys (with far less of an injury history than Sanders) like Curtis and Bennett- who started down the NFL discarding path when they had a couple injury plagued years. The double standards are endless. Boob Sanders, lol, that's a funny nickname Thrashen.

P.S: This is a team that I'd like to see bring in Jake Sharp or Chase Reynolds, although I doubt it will happen.

TJR, man could you imagine the threat Jake Sharp or Chase Reynolds would be on this Colts team? The Colts (along with the Pats and Packers) are one of the most successful and white teams and they should give a white running back a chance. Both NE and GB had a back-up white running back. No reason the Colts can't and shouldn't do the same. The Colts would be the perfect place for Sharp to be in.

To this writer, who claims he "hates to stereotype," Ryan Whalen, Greg Salas and Jeff Maehl are identical to Austin Collie, Anthony Gonzalez and Blair White. Amazing that every White receiver, no matter his size, speed and skill set, is a "scrappy possession receiver."

Elsewhere along the receiver front, a trio of typical Indianapolis prospects in Jeff Maehl (Oregon), Greg Salas (Hawaii) and Ryan Whalen (Stanford) were scheduled to appear today, but only Salas and Whalen did. What do they have in common? Hate to stereotype, but all three are scrappy, white receivers not afraid to go over the middle (though I would argue Maehl is more of a wideout than the other two.) I wouldn't mention it if it weren't the prototypical Indianapolis receiver (see also: Anthony Gonzalez, Austin Collie, Blair White.) Salas and Whalen both sold themselves as physical prospects not afraid to go over the middle. I'm sure Bill Polian heard them, though Matt and I agree over-the-middle possession receivers should be in less demand for Indy than wideouts who can stretch the field and open things up underneath.

Was looking at the top times for drills in recent Combines and Blair White, the "unathletic white receiver" posted some of the very top times of the last five years in the short-shuddle and cone drill, which measures explosiveness and athletic ability. Interesting...

The Colts' 2010 first round draft pick, DE Jerry Hughes, who was a bust as a rookie last season (managing all of 6 tackles and 0 sacks for the season), is arrested for public intoxication for his part in a brawl outside a nightclub. Weenieworld immediately passes judgment and says that Hughes "shouldn't face a league suspension," while Ben Roethlisberger, who has never been charged with a crime, somehow has "two strikes" against him, while Matt Jones was whiteballed out of the league for snorting coke.

Colts DE Jerry Hughes was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication near a Dallas nightclub. In the scheme of the things, this is hardly a major infraction. Hughes and former Cowboys linebacker Stephen Hodge were involved a disturbance that started in the nightclub and spilled out onto the sidewalk. The 2010 first-rounder shouldn't face a league suspension for the incident.
