Because of their treatment of Coffman, and their drafting of "super-affletic" Andre Smiff a few year's ago, they deserve to lose!

I think Marvin "lightskin" Lewis is intimidated by White alpha-males.

Here is a bit from Rotoworld on Jermaine Gresham.

Jermaine Gresham was held to just two catches for 11 yards in Week 9 against Pittsburgh.
<div ="s_pNewsTextMain">
Gresham only saw three targets on the night, and he's not worth owning
in 12-team leagues. The rookie has topped 35 yards receiving just once
on the year.

Chase Coffman anyone??

He's playing and he's actually a starter. He's not very good at all and I even remember "Jaws" mentioning Andre Smiff is struggling quite a bit.

WA 33 well that is somewhat depressing to hear this waste of 350 lbs is starting! But the Bungles are headed for the trash heap this year, so I guess it serves them right.

"Struggling" this affelet has no business making in excess of million dollars per year. I am always amazed by how dumb alot of white people are in giving this type of money to these worthless affelets.

The fact that Smiff came to the Combine extremely out of shape should have opened up plenty of eyes. Yet he was still drafted 6th overall because being black he has incredible "upside." Any white player in his position would be lucky to be a late round pick.

The Andre Smith pick at 6 overall is one of the most mind-blowing stupid picks I can ever remember seeing in the NFL, if not the #1 dumbest.

This guy put up a miserable 19 reps on the bench press and looked ridiculously obese at the combine and all the way leading up to the draft.

Even the drunk media was saying this guy was gonna fall to the late rounds.

Did the Bengals honestly think he was their best choice for their #1 pick? Its impossible...even if they are completely brainwashed. He wasn't even the best black tackle available.

But luckily for him he has this mythical "upside" that got him chosen over players with more than twice his bench press numbers and a lot more quickness and athleticism. This same upside is gonna keep him in the NFL for at least 10 years even after it is clear that he is a "bust". Andre Smith should never be called a bust because the fact he was picked so high is ludicrous.

Just for that one pick the Bengals franchise deserves to crash and burn.

Can anyone imagine the Colts or the Packers or Patriots making a selection like that? Maybe they have a bit more of a winning philosophy when it comes to drafting linemen. It's a wonder Bengals management still has jobs. Edited by: TorontoArgos

Smith also went to the Combine then decided to blow it off midway through. Character issues? Nah. Conditioning issues? Nah. The "upside" for this "project" was just too overwhelming. Edited by: Don Wassall

I just posted this morning about Gresham not producing and I find this on Rotoworld.

Bengals signed TE Chase Coffman from their practice squad.
<div>
Coffman will give the Bengals another pass-catching option at tight end
with rookie Jermaine Gresham struggling to make an impact. Despite
averaging over six targets per week, Gresham has managed to clear 35
yards just once in eight games.

Will Coffman finally be given an opportunity to shine?

.

I think it ranks number 2, right behind Jamarcus Russell going 1st overall.

What's even funnier is that dumbass Matt Millen gave a shout out to Gresham after the game. He said something to the effect of: "That Gresham kid, he'll be good." Wtf? Based on what???

We'll see. I think Coffman has the potential to be the better player he just needs his playing time. Gresham is another afflete who was highly coveted by quite a few NFL teams based on "upside." He was injured his entire senior year yet still was drafted 21st overall.

Mr. Draft Wizard himself. The Curse of Millen is now on Gresham's career.

That's gotta be up there as well, along with the Heyward-Bey selection. But at least Russell and Heyward-Bey had measurables going for them. What inclined the Bengals to choose Andre Smith? From my view he had absolutely nothing going for him other than going to an "SEC Powerhouse" school.

The common thread between most of these dumb draft picks is that the franchises that choose them aren't going anywhere.

To me, it's a clear sign of a drafting philosophy that simply doesn't work.Edited by: TorontoArgos

I agree, but remember that the media and "draft experts" hyped Smith up as a first round pick even with all the obvious problems. It seems to be that the smarter teams don't follow along as much with "conventional wisdom" though none are immune from it, especially on the defensive side, where 13 black defensive tackles were drafted just in the first three rounds this April. The Colts took a DE in the first round who has been an utter bust so far, but they were smart to draft Angerer in the second round, with all the "experts" calling that a "reach." Meantime Angerer looks to be NFL ready, big surprise there.

Andre Smith had measurables going for him too. It just took an extra tape measure at the combine.

It was pathetic listening to the announcers say how well Smith was playing in the first half and how his conditioning had improved, but then he flopped in the second half and was taken out of the game at one point.

Brian Leonard continues to be an afterthought even after a string of mediocre games by both Benson and Scott. he had a really nice 42 yard run on a direct snap converting a 4 and 1. Looked pretty dynamic!

ESPN and the NFL Network are completely ignoring the blatant tank job pulled by T.O. against the Colts. Apparently upset by Ochocinco and Gresham getting more targets, T.O. quit in the second half. First, he let a deep ball drop at his feet without even reaching out his hands. Dierdorf couldn't explain it, so he suggested it could have been the sun in his eyes. Next, T.O. stops short on a route and allows the Colts safety to intercept. Then, when the Bengals had the ball in the last minute, down by 6 with no timeouts, T.O. barely jogs back to the line of scrimmage on consecutive plays when the Bengals were desperately trying to get a play off. The guy is a total joke, and the Bengals deserve him.

Jermaine Gresham: this supa affletic first round pick has 40 catches through 9 games. Not bad for a rookie, right? Think again, he is averaging a pitiful 7.4 yards per catch.

Jordan Shipley only gets 2 targets (and 2 catches) out of 42 Palmer pass attempts.

I hate the Bengals. 2-7 couldn't happen to a better team.

Yep, the prima donna refusing to make any effort on the ball the Colts intercepted is what cost the Bengals the game. All he had to do was bat it down if he wasn't going tomake an effort to catch it. But of course Owens escapes with a minimal amount ofcriticism because, well because he's T.O., and because there are two glaringly different standards that black players and White ones are held to.

Can anybody imagine if it would have been Shipley that pussed out like TOverated did on that play? On the nfl.com highlights a clearly negro "expert" was blaming it on Palmer, and made the excuse that TO is just tired of losing so that play was justified. I think it might have been Neon Sanders, but im not sure. I know he was talking ebonics, and he was clearly in defense of TO as if he had some good reson to sluff off, and not try to helphis teamwin. When I first heard that TO was going to the Bengels my first thought was that it wouldnt workout.

TO isn't a good fit anywhere. No matter what team he plays for his childish behavior and mentality will always follow him. The same goes for Ochostinko, whose more interested in his 10 cent reality shows than the football field. You just can't make this stuff up.
