Just a follow up to the all-of-a-sudden White Hoosiers. They are bringing in 5 star recruit and younger brother of UNC's Tyler Zeller, Cody. The 6'-10" forward should return Indiana to its winning ways of the past.

earlier this evening, Notre Dame defeated Louisville in a thrilling overtime game. both teams were led by outstanding White athletic performances.

Notre Dame was led once again by Ben Hansbrough and Tim Abromaitis. Hansbrough had a team-high 25 points while chipping in with 6 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 steal (but 4 turnovers). Abromaitis had a stellar all-around game, scoring 23 points, hitting a perfect 9-9 from the free throw line, grabbing a game-high 8 rebounds, and adding 2 assists, 1 steal, and 1 blocked shot. in 44 minutes, he had ZERO turnovers.

off the bench, Jack Cooley was a perfect 5-5 from the floor for 10 points in 13 minutes.

Louisville was led by Kyle Kuric's career(and game)-high 28 points. he was efficient in all phases of the game, hitting on 9-14 shots, going a perfect 6-6 from the free throw line, snagging 6 rebounds, and adding 1 steal, 1 assist, and having only 1 turnover in a team-high 43 minutes.

in the nightcap, Duke is currently getting thumped in the first half by North Carolina, led by the 13 points and9 rebounds of Tyler Zeller. i am pulling for the Blue Devils, but at least a White man is leading the thrashing. hopefully the Dukies will wake up and make a game of it in the second half.

I love the way Notre Dame is playing right now. I also like the Louisville is using their white players yet. The Irish are going to be very dangerous. These teams are two to cheer for in a Big East with the likes of Georgetown, Syracuse, Cincinnati, DePaul, Seton Hall, Providence, UConn, and St. Johns in it.

wow, what a come back by Duke! the White athletes for the Blue Devils couldn't throw it in the ocean (Singler went a dismal 3-17), but with the second-half scoring provided by Nolan Smith's career-high and Seth Curry's sharp-shooting, the White Blue Devils did the dirty work necessary to overcome the halftime deficit; they owned the glass in the second half. Singler ended the game with 8 rebounds, Mason Plumlee had 8, Miles Plumlee had 9 boards and a blocked shot, and Ryan Kelly had 7 boards and 3 blocks. it was a rugged affair, but a wild comeback was spurred on by the total team effort.

for North Carolina, Tyler Zeller had a monster game. he had a team-high 24 points (on 10-14 shooting) and a game-high 13 rebounds to go along with 1 blocked shot.

The Jimmer, as ESPN calls him, finished with 25 on an efficient shooting night. He also added 4 boards, 5 assists and 3 steals. He did not play the final stretch as the game was a blowout. Seems he has his biggest performances against the better teams (i.e. UNLV, SDST, Arizona).

Jon Leuer had a good game with 19 points, 15 boards and 4 assists in an OT win.

Jimmy's favorite, Chandler Parsons, had another jack-of-all-trades night:
14 points on only 6-10 shooting
12 rebounds
8 assists

Florida won big, by the way. I wonder if NBA scouts are finally starting to notice one of the most interesting prospects in the country?

Thanks for all the great updates and videos. These are exciting times in college basketball. Now if only we can get more of these white stars drafted and playing in the NBA. I might actually watch a few more games if the NBA would wake up. What amazing dunks by all of those guys!

Kyle Kuric threw down a NASTY dunk over Notre Dame's Scott Martinlast night. the impressiveness of the and-1 dunk-plus-a-foul was besmirched by his drawing a technical for staring down at Martin afterward, however. still, it was an incredibly wicked dunk as you can see below.

that's a good question, Freethinker, and one i've asked very often myself. take a look below at one of the reasons i am so high on Chandler Parsons. in addition to being a long-armed, high-flyer that can knock down the 3-ball at 6-foot-10, he can create like a point guard. i don't know of another collegiate player right now that can compare to his skill set.

athletic Nicholls Stateguard/forwardAnatoly Bose has been invited to play in the Portsmouth Invitational Tourney after the collegiate season ends. the PIT bills itself as selecting the top 64 seniors to work out for the NBA Draft.

the 6-6 Bose is currently #10 in the nation in scoring, averaging 21.7 points-per-game.

before last night's game against South Carolina, Chandler Parsons was named the SEC Player of the Week and the Oscar Robertson National Player of the Week. his stellar performance last night should put him in line for more awards shortly. it looks like some folks are finally noticing what i've been seeing.

forgive me if i've missed him, but i've not seen anyone mention Sienna's Ryan Rossiter.

a6-9 senior power forward, Rossiteris the all-time leading rebounder in school history and is currently the #2 rebounder in the nation, at 13.1 rebounds-per-game. in addition to leading his Saints in rebounding, Rossiter leads Sienna in scoring (19.0 ppg), field goal percentage (48.3%), free throws made and attempted (75.5%), blocked shots (28), and is third in steals (22).

i doubt he'll get a lookfrom the NBA, but he's certainly a quality big man who'll be playing professional basketball somewhere. he's more athletic than given credit for and can create off the dribble or with his back to the basket.

he'll not have a chance to shine in the national media because his team sucks, but he's a talented player and hopefully will get a chance to show what he can do in the postseason invitationals.

Thanks for the reply and props for putting me up on this guy (last year, I think). Anyways, the only guys I can think to compare him to are Scottie Pippen or a more athletic Anthony Mason. There may be better comparisons but those are guys I watched play growing up.

That Kuric dunk was great and I enjoyed watching it over and over last night on ESPN. My favorite part, which I just noticed, is around the :30 mark. One of the attractive Notre Dame cheerleaders can be seen with her jaw dropped to the floor in dismay from the dunk.

She either thought that only bruthas had hops like that or she was seriously impressed. Hopefully the latter.

Honestly, I didn't know that Tom Pritchard could jump!! When I saw him playing as a true frosh, he wasn't playing in an "athletic fashion" at all. Was purely an under-the-rim player.

it has been a difficult year for Gonzaga freshman Mathis Monninghoff, an athletic6-7 small forward from Germany.

compared toadjusting to a new country, a new language,andnew teammates, his erratic performances may seem like a small problem. basketball, though,is the main reasonMonninghoff is at Gonzaga. as such, his inconsistent play has to have been frustrating for him. at times, he's looked ready to emerge as a dominant player for the Zags; at others, he's looked completely lost. his season has been sort of a microcosm of the entire Gonzaga basketball team's.

let's hope that Gone-zulu will get back to its roots and play more players like David Stockton, Kelly Olynyk, and Monninghoff ... instead of the overrated, under-performing mulattoes and blacks they've fallen in love with.

Are you telling me that no school in the country would give a scholarship to the offspring of one of the best guards in NBA history?

High school football players who are the sons of (black)NFL players are considered "legacies" for D1A football. They are guaranteed scholarships, even if they have no performance credentials or are already burdened with legal troubles.

Well, that takes care of my five minutes of college basketball viewing for this season.

BTW, I have now become a proponent of a massive expansion of Title IX at the D1A level. Forcing all these schools to expend enormous resources on the non-revenue producing 'female' sports will quickly destroy all male team sports in college, which I consider to be a favorable outcome.
I don't see how anyone on this board could disagree. The scholarships don't go to our kind, anyway. So we wouldn't be losing anything.

In St. Mary's win at Santa Clara, Mickey McConnell scored 25 points. Since the regular season is almost finished, here are some important games left for the Gaels:

--at San Fran (some other teams have "stumbled" there..)
--a game against Utah State
--hosting Gone-zulu and then Portland at the end of the season


P.S. - Stanford went into Pullman and dominated Washington State.. State really had the opportunity to help their stock in the PAC-10.

Kyle Kuric has turned into quite the player. He has 15 points already in Louisville's game against Syracuse today! Even Doris Burke said he is really athletic, and uses his athleticism to get scoring oppurtunities.

Btw what are guys thinking of Kuric, can he make it to the NBA?
He has been improving since2.5 years now (in his Junior season), Pitino seems to rely on him and push him to be more consistent...
One of the most athletic SG in the country, hitting more than 50% of his shots, reliable when shooting the 3. He has no PG skills though, i.e.he will have to play SG at the next level (he is 6'4, like Redick for instance)

What are your thoughts on this guy forumers?

On Wisconsin! The Badgers have the Buckeyes number this year in sports. The Badger football team knocked off the number one Buckeyes back in the fall and now the Badger basketball team does the same! Taylor was shooting lights out from 3. Leuer had 12 points and 6 rebound, Josh Gasser had 11 points and 7 rebounds, and Mike Brusewitz had 12 points off the bench.

it was aterrific second halfby Wisconsin over #1 OSU.

here's a quick rundown of a few other notable performances from yesterday ...

Notre Dame played a beautifully balanced team game. all five starters scored in double figures, though none scored more than 13 points. additionally, none took more than 11 shots nor less than 6. what perfect symmetry! off the bench, Cooley was near-perfect, as well. in 16 minutes, he scored 18 points on 9-10 shooting, snagged 8 boards, blocked a shot, had a steal, and committed ZERO turnovers. a beautiful performance by the Fighting Irish.

Jimmer Fredette scored 17 (of his 23) points in the final 9 minutes to help BYU take care of business against rival Utah. it was a quietly efficient night for the White Death. however, backcourt mate Jackson Emery may have had a better night, scoring 17 points, snaring 4 rebounds, dishing out 5 assists, and collecting 6 steals with ZERO turnovers in 39 minutes.

Chandler Parsons was largely ineffective offensively against Tennessee, despite playing a game-high 37 minutes. he was noticeably hobbled by a leg injury, but he gutted it out and played tough defense.

Tanner Smith had another solid game for the poor Clemson team against UNC. the athletic two guard had 11 points on 4-8 shooting, gathered 7 rebounds, had 4 assists, and 2 steals with just 1 turnover. he's an unheralded, but very gifted, player who is in a bad situation (in my opinion).

in the same game, Tyler Zeller had a quietly effective 10 points and 7 rebounds for UNC.

the Arkansas Razorbacks did a good job of gettingRotnei Clarke the ball, and the sweet-shooting junior delivered, going 5-6 from 3-point range en route to scoring a game-high 25. Clarke went 7-10 from the floor and a perfect 6-6 from the free throw line as he led the Hogs to a win over struggling LSU. Arkansas, themselves a poor team, is now undefeated on the year when Clarke scores 15 points or more ... yet the negroes don't like to give him the ball. "weird," huh?

for LSU in the above-mentioned game, talented freshman wing Matt Derenbecker scored a team-high 13 points on 5-11 shooting.

Mickey McConnell had a near-flawless night for St. Mary's in a win over San Francisco. the senior point guard scored 19 points (5-10 from the floor, 7-8 from the line), 1 rebound, 1 steal, 8 assists and just 2 turnovers in 40 minutes. co-point guard Matthew Dellavedova had 14 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists. but he also had 5 turnovers to spoil his effort.

finally, Vinnie asked about Kyle Kuric ... Kuric once against was incredibly efficient for Louisville, scoring a game-high 23 points on 9-15 from the floor. the athletic two guard added 5 boards, 4 assists, and a steal with ZERO turnovers in the game. will he get a look by the NBA? maybe ... he's got a tough row to hoe, however, as White Americans are not looked kindly upon by the Association. especially short White American guards.Edited by: Jimmy Chitwood
