Not only were whites key players on Packers offense, but on defense as well, with the Mathews fumble perhaps the most key play of the game. Also interesting that it seems that white players on defense get more respect than white WR's from the announcers. Zombo was basically in most plays, so that made for three whites on defense, which is huge for the NFL anyway. Sure its irritating that Aikman was fixated on Nelson's near catches, but all in all if any fair minded coaches or organizations are out there who really want to improve their teams, they will come away with the following
1) Whites make for great QB's.
2) Whites make for great WR's.
3) Whites make for great OL's.
4) Whites make for great defensive players.

Don't have much to say about the game that hasn't already been said. But I do want to comment on one of the worst commercials (though I didn't see them all, and I intentionally skipped the halftime show). I was aghast, though I probably shouldn't have been.

OK, if you didn't watch it, short version: A black guy is on a diet (though he isn't really overweight). His black wife/gf/whatever keeps catching him trying to sneak high-calorie treats. Finally he grabs a pepsi on a park bench. His wife comes up and he think she'll be mad, but she doesn't mind because pepsi has zero calories even though it tastes great. Then this hot young white woman jogs by and sits on the next bench over. He's looking at her with interest, which makes his wife mad, so she throws the full pepsi can. I can't say for sure if she was aiming at him or the girl, but he ducks and it hits the girl, knocking her cold. The black couple runs off before anyone can catch them.
OK, let's switch the races and sexes up a little and imagine another way it could have gone...
Perfectly healthy white woman is on a diet; her white husband "helps" her by confronting her and stealing her food at every opportunity. They end up in the park drinking pepsi, when a very fit/handsome black man jogs by and sits on a bench. The white woman is clearly attracted to him, so her jealous white husband knocks him out with a thrown pepsi bottle, then flees with her.
Yeah somehow I don't think that second version would see much airtime.

I watched the game in a club where the voiceover for the commercials couldn't be heard. Every commercialseemed to feature a White nerd as the idiot. The DWFs where I was, and there were hundreds of them, laughed on cue every time as the commercials were aired.

The commericials are so pathetic. I watched the game from my house. What made me angry is that Jordy Nelson had an incredible game depite a couple of drops. He had the game of his life and he should have been praised. How much more can the guy do? Yet the announcers just focused on his drops despite him more than making up for it with spectacular play after play. I hate listening to the announcers. They don't know sh**.
Jordy Nelson was incredible today. At least Aaron Rogers won the award. He had a great year and he has made people in Green Bay forget about Brett Favre. Congrats to the Packers!

James Jones has hands of stone, especially on crucial plays, Aaron doesn'ttrust him and for good reason. I'll be surprised if Nelson doesn't have 1,000 receiving yards in 2011. Jones seems to have a problem catching balls in stride. When he's coming back or turned toward the QB he does better.
Jordy is a real problem for defenses. He's big and strong with the speed for good YAC when he shrugs off tackles.
Very happy for Rodgers, but he did something tonight I've never seen him do. In his NFL channel interview he spoke faster than usual with a wigger accent I've never heard him use before. Whatever. I just hope diamond earings aren't next.Edited by: The Hock

Eariler in the thread I stated that Jordy would have a breakout game, Rodgers would have a defi ning game, Matthews would would have game changing play. My prediction for Kuhn,however, did not pan out. But If u call me Karnac I won't be offended. LOL

On Sunday, in Super Bowl XLV, Nelson ran through the Pittsburgh Steelers like they were so many Bulldogs. He -- not Greg Jennings or Donald Driver or James Jones -- caught nine of MVP quarterback Aaron Rodgers' passes for 140 yards and a touchdown.
The Packers' No. 4 receiver has now played 49 games in his NFL career and, oddly enough, the most important one was also his finest.
"We feel like there's not any defense that can match up with us when we go four- or five-wide," Nelson said. "Aaron's job is to throw it to the guy who's open."
From the beginning, that man was Nelson. He had been targeted four times in the Packers' first two drives, when Rodgers beat nickel back William Gay for a 29-yard touchdown to give the Packers a 7-0 lead with 11:16 gone.
"It was just press [coverage]," Nelson explained. "Aaron gave me a little signal if it was press to go deep. It was actually a screen play, but he checked to a go-route. That's what we hit."
Added Rodgers: "Jordy has been a consistent contributor for us. He actually wasn't a guy I've ever really thrown to on the first touchdown pass on that progression, but I kind of gave him eye contact on the signal. He made a great catch."
Nelson broke the ice with the first score of the night on a 29-yard TD catch.
When Driver left the game early in the second quarter with an ankle injury, Nelson moved to No. 3 on the depth chart. He was targeted by Rodgers 15 times, meaning he was the focal point of nearly 30 percent of the Packers' plays -- an extraordinary number for a guy who caught only 45 balls for 582 yards and two touchdowns in the regular season.
In the postseason, Nelson has been a revelation.
In three playoff games against Atlanta, Chicago and Pittsburgh, he produced a total of 21 catches for 286 yards and two touchdowns -- about a half-season of work.
Nelson could have been the hero of the game -- or the goat. He had three drops that, at the time, appeared to be costly. He also had a lunging play on a long ball in the end zone that would have given him another touchdown.
"I'm glad Aaron kept coming back to me," Nelson said. "But I'll tell you when we look back on this game, we won't see the drops."
Rodgers said the drops were, in a way, appropriate.
"That is just like our season," Rodgers said. "A lot of adversity. Sam [Shields] was done. Charles [Woodson] was down. Donald [Driver] was down. Jordy Nelson, huge game. Jarrett Bush, interception.
"That's the story of our season. A lot of high-character guys who've stepped up, played huge roles for us, and now we're sitting here as Super Bowl champs."

I must say, I would have been pretty bummed if the Packers had lost this game. When they failed to get the TD on their last possession, I thought it was SB 43 all over again. Big Ben was going to march the team down the field and PIT would score a TD to win by one. I could not have stomached Mike Tomlin and one of the ghostly Rooneys holding that trophy surrounded by a sea of black.
Most folks here at CF had GB on their wishlist to win the SB if we go back and dig up some pre-season posts, so this a great ending. Nelson had a solid game. With an inch here and an inch there, it could've been an epic, MVP-caliber performance. A 200yd game with 3TDs was possible on this night. I think he had 2 balls that were legit drops, while the other two would've been great catches if he could've made them. He obviously more than made-up for his mis-cues with some big plays. Nelson should definitely be the #2 receiver as a starter next year.
GB is really a white safety, a white DL, and a white TE away from being the perfect caste team to root for. They have obviously found the formula that having a healthy number of whites on the roster is a net positive, so let's hope the trend continues next season.

I definitely want to chime in and reiterate what most everyone has been saying here. This game is a huge vindication for us, especially with Jordy having a monumental performance. As far as the drops? Well, like Wayne Gretzky said, you miss 100% of the shots you don't take. Even Mark Price missed a few free throws here and there.
It was nice to see them pan down the line with Tom Landry carrying the trophy, and seeing a nearly equal number of black and white players touching it, and then the presentation it was all white people on the podium, and comically but righteously concluded with Clay Matthews bestowing the championship belt on Aaron Rodgers!
This game had nearly every positive we could look, with the obvious exception being Kuhn doing the heavy duty of blocking. It was nice seeing him have a prominent position on the victory formation though!
As a side note, can someone remind who the doomsday foretelling poster was here after the Patriots lost? He thought that it would prove affirmatively in the minds of millions that a whiter team is not better? Well what do you think of this?
I also want to, for just a moment, remind those who believe NFL games are fixed in favor of blacks about this game. Whenever you try to conjure up these scenarios, just think back to this game. As a side note, all of us should put this in the "triumph" category whenever we run into a negative situation again. Relish this moment, and never forget it, no matter what the future may hold (which, I believe is bigger and better things for white players in college and the NFL)!

Weekend couldn't have ended any better! Jordy had a huge game! Happy to see Clifton, Woodson, and Driver all get rings!
To be fair, Woodson is a great player and DB. He seemed genuinely happy for all of his teammates and hid the disappointment of not playing for much of the game, during the biggest night and on the world stage. He is one black that I will call a great athlete.

1--I like the Patriots' OL (and I've called it my favorite in the NFL) and I like Gronk, Welker, Woodhead and Brady.
2--I criticized New England for not playing "smash-mouth" football. The NY Jets were without sumo Kris Jenkins' who suffered a torn ACL in game 1 of the season.. so they didn't have much "beef" in the interior line and they were left with Mike Devito, an aging Trevor Pryce and Sione Pouha. Some posters' have also mentioned that (LB) David Harris isn't exactly a "physical phenom."
From my observation, New England did play "finesse" ball until it was too late. And, I think the Patrick Chung fumble was the turning point of the game, and we may never know if Belichick called that "fake" or not.
3--I can see that the NFL is ridiculously black, and that's why there's "added empasis" (on CF) with particular teams' like Indy and New England. I know that I wanted to see New England hosting Pittsburgh in the AFC title game, a "Caste-matchup" if you will. Did you want to see that?
4--Vandy is the Whitest team in the SEC, but will you be brazen enough to claim that they are "better coached" than Nick Saban's Alabama team? Under Saban, Alabama has been running a pro-style offense and defense, while Vandy has been starting black quarterbacks.. and losing and losing in the process. Alabama also plays a "smash-mouth" brand of football in an attempt to absolutely demoralize opponents. I'm not implying that Saban is going to have tons more success with Bama (that remains to be seen), but he is undeniably a good college coach and motivator.
Believe me, the Vandy-haters' say that they are losing because of White representation on their roster (and "high academic standards" which I'm personally skeptical of -- especially with their football program), even if the real reason is bad coaching and having an AA at QB.

But, at the same time, you know that many folks hate Brady, Welker, Belichick, and the MSM has constantly disrespected the man-child GRONK.

The only thing I posted was the blurb that said "Legursky is undersized"... I loathe Tomlin, and I have been more than tired of the "worship" of Casey Hampton, Polamalu, Lawrence Timmons, James Harrison, "Ziggy" Hood and overrated Pouncey.
I had mentioned previously that Pittsburgh "wasn't as good as their record".. they were beatable, I knew this very lucidly and Baltimore could have done it, but they screwed-up too much. So, what do I think about the Super Bowl? Firstly, I was going to post a story of my travels yesterday and I guess I'll do it now.. I went to several shopping centers to purchase some clothing for a funeral of a close relative. And, in Wal-Mart, aside from seeing several fat and grotesque mudsharks, there were literally HORDES of "Steeler DWFs" and most were wearing Mike Wallace and Polamalu jerseys.. I only saw one White man wearing a Heath Miller jersey, and he was a pretty big dude, strong-looking. I also saw one handsome baby boy, White, of course, in Steeler gear.
Naturally, I imagine a number of those folks likely have Northern roots, but I also thought.. "Is Pittsburgh becoming AMERICA'S TEAM?" Needless to say, I didn't purchase anything in Wal-Mart! I ended-up purchasing my clothing from Target, and it's "eerie" how I saw ZERO "identifiable" mudsharks or DWFs in Target. Cue the Twighlite Zone music theme...
So, yeah, I'm glad that the Pack won and that Jordy Nelson succeeded (he's an athlete I've always liked). And, I hope Pittsburgh misses the playoffs next year..
