Peyton Hillis was lined up as a kick returner, but Tony Scheffler wound up running with it. Hillis with a nice catch for a first down. Buckhalter looks terrible, stuffed for a loss on one run, on 3rd down he was supposed to be at a certain spot and Orton threw where he was supposed to be and he wasn't there, almost intercepted by Urlacher.

and, i like how Buckhalter sandwiched two bad plays around Hillis' one good one. it really showed the difference in the two.

Hillis= catch the ball cleanly and make a guy miss in the open field before picking up a first down.
Buckhalter= poor run then running the wrong routethat nearly caused an interception.

Hillis got hit in the backfield by three guys on his first carry (on 3rd and 1) and still nearly picked up the first down.

also, what's the deal with all these DWFs booing Cutler as if he's the anti-christ? you don't see any of them dressed up to lambast Brandon Marshall ... idiots.

I dont know, they should be booing the coach. I hope Hillis is okay after that first down, he was hobbling off the field. He is a tough guy so it could be worse than it looks

Is there any doubt that some of these disgraceful fans would give Marshall a standing ovation upon his return?

And the constant praise of various black players by Chris Collinsworth is simply nauseating. Give it a rest, already!

A nice run by Hillis, better than the run buckhalter had before him, the one he blocked for. I guess this is a sign of things to come, at least Hillis is getting a few carries and catches.

Hillis just blocked two guys on one play, one of them was Urlacher, and made Buckhalter look good.

the very next play, Hillis picked up 16 ... making a couple of guys miss, then smashing the defensive back at the end of the play.

then the next play, Hillis smashes another guy on a lead block.

Hillis is CLEARLY the best back on the roster. how can the coaches "really" not see it?

You are right, they have to see it. The only way they are going to get down the field and score is with Hillis at tailback.

all the big yardage runs buckhalter have had tonight were paved by Hillis. One announcer tried to just give Ryan Clady the credit but the other announcer was praising Hillis, saying how he is running as a tailback one play, catching a pass on another and then blocking for another.Edited by: dwid

Hillis is THE MAN on the Denver offense! Nobody else comes close.

Yeah, how can the coaches not see that. A good run by Hillis in the middle of bad runs by Buckhalter. Collinsworth compliment Hillis tonight, but did so reluctantly. After Hillis went out for a few plays with a small injury, Collinsworth did say Hillis was an indispensible part of their offense, then he called him a FB, paused for a few seconds, and managed to choke out the word, HB. After that, he called him a good KR and said he lines up at WR sometimes. The last part, he choked out. Hillis has been too good not to compliment for Collinsworth.

Besides that, Collinsworth has been horrible to listen to tonight. He was heaping tons of praise on Elvis Dumerville and Tommie Harris. He called Harris an indispensible part of the Bears defense and the main reason why the Bears made it to the SB a few years ago. He called Eddie Royal one of his favorite WRs. They also have said numerous times the Moreno will be the starter for sure sometime this year. Along with saying LaMont Jordan will be a primary backup for him.

If they screw over Hillis all year long, he needs to demand a trade like Cutler. I have a feeling they will use him alot but only a little at running back. He will get alot of passes thrown his way and the occasional token carry. As great as he is at returning kicks, it is totally crazy to have your teams best offensive weapon running back kickoffs. Talk about an injury waiting to happen. Remember what happened to Sehorn running back a kickoff. Hillis in a fair world would be the starting running back period. That will probably never happen in Denver with McDaniels running the show.

Kevin Walter tweaked a hamstring. Ben Leber had a nice interception and Percy Harvin dropped a beautifully thrown pass by Brett Favre in the end zone.

also, the two fat black sumo defensive tackles for the Vikings are so fat, they can barely get down in their stance. between plays they huff and puff like they're trying to put out a forest fire with their breath!

Pat Williams, who is possibly the fatter of the two, is so grossly out of shape that he had his hands on his hips sucking wind after his first play from scrimmage!

yet, the announcers were raving about his athleticism and play-making ability. i mean, wow. just wow.

compare his physique and ability to make plays with that of Viking defensive end Jared Allen. now HE is a tremendously conditioned, impressive specimen.

Owen Daniels just climbed the ladder and made a spectacular grab while getting blasted in the back. awesome catch! for a gain of about 16.

Chucky Gruden rightly pointed out that Percy Harvin has made three costly mistakes already in the game, so at least he's pointing out some of the issues in the midst of his orgy of praise for most of these losers.

also, could there possibly be worse tackling than we've seen from the Texans defensive backs and linebackers in this game? horrid doesn't even come close to being a strong enough word ...

back to back nice catches by David Anderson and Owen Daniels on the Texans current drive. of course, they've only got 4 seconds left in the half ...
