    2019 Kansas Jayhawks

Thanks Red raider. When I think of the state of Kansas I think of white people (farmers), tornados and a flat boring landscape. I still don't understand why their teams are mainly non white. I concur with the posts above. They SUCK!

    2019 Oklahoma Sooners

Thanks Red raider. I wrote up the Sooners last season and little has changed. Certainly TE Calcaterra is a terrific athlete with huge potential. And if those back up LBs mentioned above can get on the field perhaps this team will be slightly better to watch than last season. Still though...

    2019 Kansas State Wildcats

Thanks Red raider. I like the landscape of this team. One of my favorite Big 12 teams and we all hope CB Johnny Durham finds his way into the starting line up. I also think Thompson is an underrated QB plus he has a better connection to WR Schoen than the black QB who played a lot last season.

    2019 Texas Longhorns

Thanks Red raider. Ehlinger reminds me a little of Baker Mayfield with better running abilities. And all everything Jake Smith is a Taysom Hill type whose primary position is WR. Anxious to see what he can do out there. But when I see zero white starting defenders I can't cozy up to a team...

    2019 Iowa State Cyclones

Thanks Red raider. I like their head coach. Last season I was hoping for a little more of a white presence but as Bucky says up above if some of the back ups including speed demon WR Akers crack the lineup this team will become more interesting to us here at CF.

    2019 Texas Tech Red Raiders

Thanks Red raider. McLane Mannix is a key wide receiver that if things go well could be an NFL draft pick either in 2020 or 2021. He is a speedy productive slot and the hope is he explodes this season playing in higher tiered conference. But what is also fascinating about TT this season is...

    NFL News, Rumors and Musings

I have a little black book where I am tracking all the white WRs in the NFL and on paper this looks to be a promising year. However nasty things have a way of showing up like the Cantrell situation. I find it odd that pure throwers like Drew Brees and Philip Rivers have never worked with white...

    2019 Wisconsin Badgers

Thanks Bucky. It is refreshing to see a program maintain a consistent white presence from year to year like Wisconsin. They have churned out some really special white linebackers in recent times and with two newer faces starting this season the hope is that trend continues. The white depth at LB...

    2019 Nebraska Cornhuskers

Super stuff. Just great. Thanks again to everyone posting team profiles. I enjoy them. Nebraska is showing some promise for the future which is great news. They have the most loyal fans in the country. One small footnote. Probably belongs in the MLB section but ex dual threat 6'4" 215 QB Bubba...

    NFL News, Rumors and Musings

The other day on ESPN they mentioned Andy Isabella raced Kyler Murray. The female on the Get Up show said Isabella won by a hair. I decided to research it. Isabella had been leaving everyone else in the dust ( no surprise) so this race idea came up. Then a few sites claimed Murray won. In...

    2019 Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders

Since I am having continuing issues getting on the internet just want to squeeze in a thanks to all of the posters who are presenting college football team write ups. Always nice to read. If I ever get my issues straightened out I might pop out a few leftover teams if there are any worthy ones...

    2019 MLB Season

The Angels/ Dodgers series is intriguing because of the Bellinger/Trout match up. A shame that it is only a two game series. I imagine there is a mutual respect between these two fabulous athletes and both are anxious to perform well here. Bellinger went 2-5 last night and that was a nice...

Holcomb was part of my holy four of great athletes/good players who were being ignored in the draft process. That list included S Chris Johnson, KR/WR Michael Walker ( recent post elsewhere on him) and WR Scott Miller ( see above). Miller along with Holcomb were the only two that were drafted...

    2019 Wimbledon

Want to make a correction. Henin played and lost in two Wimbledon finals. In 2001 she lost to Venus Williams, not Serena, in three sets losing the final set 6-0. In 2006 she also lost in three sets to Amelie Mauresmo. In 2001 she was only 19 years old. Henin also made three semifinals at...

    2019 Wimbledon

While the Federer loss is still ringing in my ears the Halep win was special for me on so many levels. For starters she is my, and has been for several years, my current favorite female player. Her win at prestigious Wimbledon ranks as one of the greatest Wimbledon moments for me of all time...

    2019 Wimbledon

I wonder if the media is as up in arms as I am about the tiebreaker rule change. Like so many other changes in modern day life the change was made because a few matches in recent times went on for a long time as you had to win by two games in the fifth and final set. I think that is still in...

    2019 Wimbledon

I can be found in a church praying to God that Federer somehow finds a way to beat Djokovic in the final on Sunday. Is it too much to ask for two miracles? Beating his longtime nemesis Nadal in a grand slam is big news in itself. Especially at this point in Roger's career. One more giant leap...

    2019 Wimbledon

If Halep plays with the laser beam focus she has shown in her last three matches she will beat Serena into the ground. But this is a GS final and Halep has been prone to getting tight. She also has had difficulty in the past dealing with adversity in finals. And as we know there are going to be...

    Soccer 2019

For me the most important thing was that, with a few minor exceptions, this World Cup was dominated by the brilliance of white athletes. The USA team was diverse but in a way that mirrors greater America with the majority of players being white. This wasn't one of those deals that passes for...

I too am pleased diaper wonder Gauff was bounced with some ease. The coverage was already insufferable. Imagine what it would have been like if Gauff kept advancing? The semifinals are all set. Halep-Svitolina---I know Simona bagged a major but both of these players are notorious grand slam...

You are right Don about the recent lack of teenage prodigies. As you are probably aware they changed the rules a while back limiting the number of tournaments youngsters could enter essentially killing off their chances of emerging into the higher ranks. That is the main reason they have...

MF Rose Lavelle has lit up social media. Her dazzling moves have set the soccer world on fire. At 24 she is the next big thing for the USA squad and will be seen as one of the pivotal players going into the Olympics next summer and the World Cup four years from now. She won the Bronze boot as...

    Class of 2020

The Ivy League plays good football. Sure they aren't part of the big boy chain but I think for many white skill players it affords them a better chance of playing and ultimately making it to the NFL. So all in all I am OK with the news speedster Maessner is heading to Princeton. So fast and...

USA women pull through with a 2-0 win against the Netherlands to win their fourth World Cup. It was a tight game in the first half with no goals. The USA had several chances but they were blocked or nabbed by the Dutch goalie. The tension was mounting. It was pretty exciting. I didn't think the...

Under the radar alert. The Pirates had Jordy Mercer as their SS for several years. A decent player but not someone you would notice much. Basically a .250 type hitter who is now struggling with the Tigers. Now the Pirates have a nice middle of the infield duo that are finally emerging from the...
