Wow it is surprising the college football yearbooks are dribbling in already. Thanks for the heads up Matt. I only bought one last year which is the most comprehensive, Phil Steele. Two draw backs though. It is the most expensive and it comes out later than the other publications.

But as we look for the Great White Hope I think the names above at least gives us some hope, albeit a tad miniscule.

Including the intriguing young Ethan Bonner mentioned above I have seen both the impressive Riley Moss and Johnny Durham in some action last year. We need them to settle into a starting role the sooner the better.

Andrew Bird is a new name. Fejedelem looked good to me but FS is the next best thing. Parker of Texas Tech? I still haven't figured out what position he played and for some reason every time I turned on a TT game he wasn't on the field. I must have just missed him all year. But he should be out there a lot this season.

White Lightning I appreciate the kind words. I think I would rather be a scout or recruiter though to actually give some of these guys a fair shot. I do enjoy the research and finding these kids Hopefully lurkers will watch and see for their own eyes these kids are getting shafted on by the system.

Preston Zachman- Plays a little bit of everything for Southern Columbia High School in Pennsylvania. They were State Champs. But he is an extremely talented athlete with 4.4 speed. Four excellent athletes that I hope Nebraska bites on. They all worked out at a recent Nebraska camp and the buzz on them is only building.

LB Hayden Hatcher played LB at a small college so he isn't technically a high school 2020 recruit but he ran a blistering 4.47 which is especially impressive given his 6'3" 210 pound size.

Edge Blaise Gunnerson fits the profile of an old time Nebraska defensive terror. Rangy 6'5" 250 lbs. Would be shocked if he doesn't land with the Cornhuskers.

S/OLB Issac Gifford is the younger brother of Luke. Has terrific speed (4.51) and all around athleticism. A post above mentioned he has committed to Nebraska but I can't verify that.

RB Miko Maessner. 100 and 200 meter sprint champ this year so no need to belabor that point. Also has great agility and a near 43 inch vertical. Good grief. Talk about athletic. Think he has been mentioned at CF before.

These players would look good in a Nebraska uniform. Nebraska has not signed many players from this class yet so odds are good these players will commit there.

True, but damn, aren’t there any boosters at the school pissed at continually passing over good white talent?.....Wanting some diversity from the other end isn’t racist at all....We don’t want affirmative action in college sports, but if well qualified, we want these guys playing on our team.....Espescially, if their grades are deserving....This is college football, and it should matter......

i haven’t seen him play, so i don’t know if he has good balance, vision, agility, quickness, etc. (all attributes i consider to be more important than the 40 time), but i would love to see a recruiter ‘s face-to-face explanation for why a kid with his legitimate speed (10.60 in the 100-meters) and size was not recruited to their program. the obvious racial bias/slotting against so many of these young, White athletes is beyond words.

It does not looking very promising for the RB Class of 2020 according to the expert Recruiting Services ....Scanning the Top 100 ...not a white RB anywhere to be found until Garrett; who is Ranked 97th Best (are 96 RB's really better?) ....looking further down the list ...nothing until #140 Gaige Garcia (committed to Michigan)...& then at #150 Cody Christ (had been listed at OLB).

So just 3 out of 150.....nearly on par with the NFL. This is where it starts. Some of the 7 on 7 Summer Camps down South i have noticed the need for more white participation. Almost basketball on grass.

And checking the "All-Purpose Backs" of the 31 on the list ....#17 Jared Cole (mentioned above by Red Raider)...headed to U.Mass. was the only White RB listed.

Hoping the McCaffrey effect can have similar results that the Wes Welker effect produced!

Gaige Garcia is committed to wrestle and play RB for Michigan, not the most common dual-sport athlete as far as football players go. Hope he does great in both!

Saw this on 247 today...four of the top six "top performers" on offense in the Dallas Regional were White.

2. OT, Tommy Brockermeyer, Fort Worth All Saints Episcopal (Class of 2021) – Brockermeyer may have been the best pure prospect at the event regardless of class. He’s got an athletic, long frame, showed really good feet and has physicality to his game all of which made him the toughest offensive line matchup of the day. Texas already has a few Crystal Ball picks for the Longhorn legacy.

3. QB, Chandler Morris, Dallas Highland Park – All Morris is missing is height. He earned the quarterback MVP award on the day with a really consistent, accurate performance. He has a quick, compact delivery and a batting practice type setting like this is just too easy for him. Morris also earned an invite to the Elite 11 Finals with his performance and looks like a really safe bet.

4. QB, Haynes King, Longview – The stock just keeps on rising for King. First he ran a 4.50 in the 40, one of the fastest times of the day, regardless of position. Then he went on and showed a strong arm, accuracy and a clean delivery. This all came one day after running in a track meet and recently removed from his basketball season. King was a recent riser in the Top247 for 247Sports and the rise likely to continue. Expect him to be the most highly recruited quarterback in the country this spring. He earned an invite to the Elite 11 Finals on Sunday.

Ayden Hector commits to Stanford. Good for Heretic (wherever he is) on bringing him to our attention. I mistakenly labeled him as mixed initially but he appears to be white.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but Hector isn’t totally white, he’s an Ashtyn Davis type. His grandfather Willie Hector played in the NFL a long time ago. Willie is 100% black so Ayden is probably 25%.
