Thanks Shadowlight....you did a fantastic job on the '18 Cornhuskers!

Since 2005 Nebraska has started 11,13,11,12,11,13,14,13,8,10,11,11 , 9 .... Last season was 8. This season = 9

Scott Frost might eventually have this team looking like your daddy's Cornhuskers ....now with a Snow plow Starting O-Line.

Former Walk-on WR Kade Warner(son of HOF QB Kurt) is penciled in as a Starter. TE Jack Stoll is a receiving threat.

The pressure will be on starting QB Adrian Martinez to play at a high level.....UCF Transfer Noah Vadral & (Fr.) Luke McCaffrey are waiting in the wings. Andrew Bunch played some last season.

On the 2nd Team(Ourlads; but not Athlon's) Wyatt Mazour is now a WR after playing RB last season (11 carries for 76 yards); TE's Austin Allen 6'- 8" 250 & Kurt Rafdal 6'- 7" 245

The New Class of '19 looks promising with big 6'- 6" 315 D-Lineman Ty Robinson ; a possible future "Snow Patrol" LB unit in a 3-4 Defense....Nick Henrich ; Jackson Hannah ; Garrett Nelson & Garrett Snodgrass...they could find their way on the 2 deep quickly.

Walk on CB Ethan Cox(Soph.) is a Special Teams stand out. Would be nice to see him crack the 2 Deep eventually

Frost is building a Strong Walk-on program with the addition of 25 Freshman; led by 6'- 4" WR Riley Kenney; LB Luke Reimer; RB Cooper Jewett

Super stuff. Just great. Thanks again to everyone posting team profiles. I enjoy them. Nebraska is showing some promise for the future which is great news. They have the most loyal fans in the country.

One small footnote. Probably belongs in the MLB section but ex dual threat 6'4" 215 QB Bubba Starling once accepted a scholarship to play football and baseball at Nebraska. He opted for MLB. So years later and at nearly 28 he is playing OF for the Royals and is currently batting .326.

But in my opinion he is yet another case of a white player who would have been better served going the football route. He was a standout athlete with the necessary size to make an impact in football. Making it to the big leagues at 27 is on the late side. Nonetheless of course I wish him the best in his baseball career.

Thanks for bringing up Bubba Starling! Had just seen him on a MLB highlight clip on ESPN a few days before..... AGREED....Watching HS highlights I thought Starling was the next closest QB/WR Matt Jones freakish athleticism i had seen in a while! Could have revolutionized the QB position w the Cornhuskers.

I've kept a fairly close watch on Starling since he took the money to go the MLB route. He took awhile to develop in the minors, but he's been really outstanding the last 3 years. Why the Royals didn't bring him up sooner is dumbfounding considering how terrible they've been.

But knowing the Royals, apparently "Starling" is hispanic-sounding enough and Bubba should have told them he was from Venezuela rather than Gardner, Kansas.
