Sandra Myers was a phenom. But when she got to college, she felt discriminated against as a white sprinter. Later she married a Spaniard, and competed for Spain.

The Germans finally!!! showing up on the track! A surprising, but great win for Luckenkemper. No one would have predicted that. She came home strong at the end of the race. Swoboda was 4th, and still has yet to go under 11 seconds. She is great at 60m, but really needs to work on the 2nd...

Unfortunately we have no contenders at the Men's 100m. In fact, this might be the first European Championships ever with no whites in the final. Hoping someone can step up and represent.

Femke is going to run the 400m, the 400m hurdles, and 4x400m relay at the European Championships. She could medal (even gold medal) in all events, but all those races might sap her strength. Let's see....!

Caleb Law of Australia got the bronze medal running 20.48. Brandon Miller was 5th in 20.64. And Tebogo of Botswana had to eat a little crow, finishing 2nd. I really dislike this guy. He was such an arrogant prick in the 100m.

Mia Brahe-Pedersen made it to the women's 100m final and came 7th in 11.33. Still, for a 16 yr old, who has had a very long season, it's super impressive! I've said it before - she's the next Abby Steiner.

Browning finishes 6th in the final in 10.20. He ran progressively slower each round. Obviously needs to work on his strength.

Browning qualifies for the 100m final with a 2nd place, 10.17 in his semi-final. The final is later today.

Unfortunately, the young Asians finish out of the medals in 4th, 5th, and 6th - 10.12, 10.14, and 10.24 - Boonson, Fahmi, and Yanagita.

Puripol Boonson, the 16yr old from Thailand, won his semi-final at the U20 Championships with a time of 10.09! Hiroki Yanagita of Japan was 2nd in 10.15. Muhd Azeem Fahmi followed up his 10.09 from the heats, with a 10.19 in his semi. All 3 of these Asians are onto the final.

I'm happily surprised to report that Rohan Browning ran 10.10 (0.9w) in the heats of the Commonwealth Games.
