I had not seen this one. I thought Grit was a 400 performer. It shows that staying relaxed really improves performance.

Harry Christer Garpenborg (born 12 May 1952) is a Swedish former sprinter who competed in the 1976 Summer Olympics. 1974 Chris Garpenborg tied the 60-yard world record at 5.9, beating Steve Williams in the Sunkist Invitational in Los Angeles. 1974 Chris Garpenborg won the Dallas Invitational 100 yard dash in 9.30, beating Don Quarrie. The handtimes showed 2 watches of 9.0, which would have equaled Ivory Crocket's world record. 1974 He won the Penn Relays 100 yard dash in the time of 9.2. 1976 Chris won the Las Vegas Invitational 100 meters in the time of 9.84, beating Clancy Edwards. The time was, however, disputed since the windguage was not functioning properly. It is, however, the fastest time ever recorded by a Caucasian. 1976 AAU American champion 100 meters. 1976 Chris competed in the Montreal Olympics injured with a bad back. 1977 silver in 60 meters San Sebastian Spain European Championship beaten by Valeriy Borsov by 1 hundreds of a second. Many that witnessed the race felt Chris was the victor including Borsov. 1977 European cup victories in the 100 and 200 meters. In 1977 Chris had a serious motorcycle accident. 1980 New South Wales Champion 100 meters. In 1980 preparing for the Moscow Olympics he was diagnosed with mercury poisoning believed to be caused by his amalgam fillings. He came back from this ordeal to become Swedish Champion in the 100 meters once more before retiring from the sport.

When I was growing up until I was in my 40s softball was a major sport in my neck of the woods. Almost all mills, churches, and bars sponsored a team. I was very lucky to see this man one time in the late 70s. One of the greatest athletes I ever saw play and he had to be in his 50s then. His name was Eddie Feigner. His team's name was The King and his Court. They only used 4 players and he pitch most of the game from 2nd base "Blindfolded." He stuck out 21 batters and I think 1 batter foul tipped 1 ball. How he has been neglected all these years is hard to understand.

Thanks for posting that Booth!!
I can live another day. I'm a very "unique" kind of guy also and it ain't easy. You go through heaven and hell because you are so different from the rest of this copycat world. I love unique people that swim against the tide like me no matter what world they live in with respect to profession, locality, background, even ethnicity. I didn't even watch much past three minutes and had to comment. Major blessings to you sir. Made my morning.

Off to my private little war...

I am glad it brought you a few moments of peace and happiness BeyoundFedUp. It made me go back to a different time when things were good and I had high hopes. Thank you for the kind words.

he's still quite young but it seems he's been forgotten. A New Zealander named Jacko Gill who has held world shot put records since he was 14. He had every single world best each year through to adulthood .... then seemed to have difficulties transforming to an open athlete.
He's still an awesome shot putter but has been overshadowed by fellow countryman Thomas Walsh with his 22.90m

Here he is back when he was 16 with the shot world spread out before him

History tells us that in the 1956 Olympics the fastest man in the world was Bobby Morrow of the United States. How can a white
man win the 100, 200 and 4 x 100 Relay Gold Medals in a sweep if whites cannot run? No one can deny this fact!

Then in the the Rome 1960 Olympics we had a sweep in the mens 100 meters finals. All 3 white sprinters won the gold, silver and
bronze medals as the fastest men on earth! Again the media will tell you it's impossible. Whites have been taught and indoctrinated
to believe they can't compete. We have been lied to about so many things and whites being able to run & jump are only one of them.

Here is a picture of the !960 Rome Olympics Mens 100 Meters Finals at the finish line! :)

In the 1972 Olympics Russian Sprinter Valeriy Borzov was the fastest man in the world winning the 100, 200 and 4 x 100 Relays Medals.
Yet again we are told it's not possible. All lies on top of of lies!

Want more proof that whites can sprint and be the fastest man in the world? Here is the 1980 Summer Olympics Mens 100 Meter Finals
with Allan Wells of Great Britain(he was Scottish)winning the gold medal as the fastest man in the world. Notice that 5 of the 7 sprinters in the finals were white sprinters! Yes white sprinters can compete, win and be the best in the world. Don't believe the lies & propaganda!

I think that was the semi-final - Hary was in lane 8 and Sime in lane 1 in the final.

I don't know any other sprinter who could run a 9.4 hundred-yard dash and throw the shot put 57'. He was a pretty good running back too.

I've seen other posts where there are some incredibly talented rugby players . I came across this video and thought I would share. Pierre Spies had some impressive measurable.. 6'4", 240, 10.7 speed. It seems he is also an amazing person too.

More Marian Woronin the famous Polish Sprinter. I had no idea that he was that fast in the 60 meters. Amazing!
