The only thing though is that even if Hester did all that, is that what they would put on the cover? They could easily just show Miles with the trophy with a black player right next to him. But yes, if he did get the cover I would buy that. I didn't buy the last cover, because it was barely bigger than a postage stamp!
If OSU wins, then you can bet that Chris "Beanie" Wells will certainly get all the credit. Maybe LSU will stop the run, and OSU will have to turn to the passing game and Hartline and Sanzenbacher will get a good number of throws.

I think the country could handle that just like they did back when John Riggins was the Super Bowl MVP. However, look at that situation it did absolutely nothing to stop the RB position from becoming 100% black in the NFL. I think it would look better for Ohio St to dominate with their nearly all white offense(great games by Hartline/Ballard/Sazenbacher) and a good rushing effort by Hester. Than just almost all black LSU winning.
I hate to keep repeating this but if I were an NFL GM, especially on a subpar team, say the Chiefs or something, I'd take Hester with my number 1 pick and make it known to all that he'll get 15-20 carries a game. They'd have such a huge marketing draw that it'd drive sales through the roof. And if Hester were able to do anything, say put a string of 100 yard games together, man, it'd be crazy.
I hope we don't need to wait another 20 years before we see a white RB take center stage. This year has been a lot of fun for me to watch Hester. I've caught every single LSU game I could and enjoyed it greatly. The idea I'm going to root for an SEC team over a Big Ten team in the "'ship"

The Chiefs would never take a RB in the draft considering all they've invested into the injury machine known as Larry Johnson.
A white running back needs to be on a team with a white offensive line and white QB (preferably a star QB). These men would spend a lot of time together off the field talking strategy and game planning.
New England would be ideal for Hester. Maroney is not a New England type player, he'll implode sooner or later, once things don't go his way, just like he did in college at Minnesota. Maybe he'll last a year or two, and then Jacob will take over full time.
Belichick would love to have a white tailback, trust me. He's from my neck of the woods, near Annapolis, Maryland. He went to Annapolis High School, which back in his day was virtually all white.
Deep down, Coach B is one of us.

Stonewall, I agree that Belichick should be given credit for what he has done in regards to white players this year. Giving credit to him for that, however, is a far cry from calling him "one of us."

The excitement is building I'm really looking forward to this game! How sick would it be if any or all of these things happened? Hester rushes for 120 yds with a huge 55 yd TD, Stelz has huge game with an int return for a TD, Hartline gets 9 catches for 140 yds and outruns the LSU corner on a 60 yd TD, Laurinaitis has monster game with 13 tackles 2 sacks (one big one on Perrilloux that knocks him out of the game) and a forced fumble and recovery, and Sanzenbacher gets 4 catches one for a TD. There's a lot to look forward to in this game!

Off to a friends house to watch the game with a bunch of people on 52 inches of crystal clear hi def DLP television (it's the mirrors, haha). Here's to a great game. I will be cheering loud for all the white athletes. Go Hester, Hartline, Stelz, Laurinaitis, Sanzenbacher, Boeckman, Flynn, Nicol, Ballard, Osu O-line, etc!
