High Schoolers

Not really about high school but I was sad to see that Brody Buffington was charged with a d.u.i. recently. They barely ran him his entire freshman year. Now after this he may be punished and not see much track time. What a sad situation. Hope he learns from it. He is too talented to throw his career down the drain!

apparently it was in September....doing stupid things like young college kids do. He needs to be smarter than that moving forwards...

Andrew Ernst ran a 21.58 200-meter and had a long jump of 23'11.75" on 1/3/25
Jesse Myers ran a 21.36 200 on 12/18/24
Sam Mitas ran a 21.68 200 and a 6.89 60 meters on 11/21/24

Since the Texas Relays were this weekend, it made me wonder what happened to this super speedy, 2 time state champion.
Well, she graduated last year and is attending Tarleton State University (never heard of it), and is playing soccer, but not running track!
And so it goes with some of our athletes....

Well it turns out that Victoria is indeed running track (and playing soccer) at Tarleton State.
She ran a speedy 7.19 in the semi-finals of the 60m at a meet at Texas Tech. She DNS in the finals.
Glad she has not given up the sport.

Ryan Dierenfield ran a 6.66 60 meter on 2-2-25.
Connor Salmin ran a 6.35 55 meter on 1-25-25. He is also a 4-star WR in football.
Jessie Meyer ran a 21.16 200 meter on 1-11-25.

Jacknyc, she later ran a 7.14 in the finals to win the event.

That 7.14 was at a later meet, and also in the semi-finals. Still, a noteworthy time, and her fastest of the year.
She will be running in the 60m at the NCAA Indoor Championships this weekend. Hope she can make the finals.

Now here's a name to keep an eye on . . . Jack Stadlman.
He only started running track as a junior, and in his 2nd 400m race ever, he ran a nation leading time of 45.69!!
You can see the race here. He absolutely crushes the competition!

At the New Balance National Indoor Championships, Cole Cramer took 2nd in the 60m with a great time of 6.62.
Ryan Dierenfield of Montana, who was fastest in the heats and semis, got 3rd in 6.65.
Jesse Myers of Pennsylvania was 2nd in the 200m with a nice time of 20.99.

There may be more...I haven't gone through all the results, but these are 3 guys to keep an eye this year.

Nice update brother. I knew about Ryan Dierendield but Cole Cramer and Jesse Myers are new names I wasn't award of. Appreciate it.
That's sweet we had 2 of the 3 fastest sprinters in American High School.

The wind was blowing in Texas and some good times for some white runners.
Cole Coppedge 10.40 100 meters on 3-6-25 and 21.80 200 meters on 2-22-25.
Harlen Beucler 10.25 100 meters on 2-2-25.
Baily Hashmi 10.38 100 meters on2-28-25.
Andrew Casagrande ran a wind-aided 10.08 100 meters.

Ewan Curtis set a meet record in the heats of the Boys 110m Hurdles (Division I), with a time of 13.63.
The next fastest time was 13.84.
Let's see how fast he goes in the finals.

In the 100m (Division II), Lucas Roblee of Arkansas was the 6th fastest qualifier in 10.64, and Harlan Beucler was the 7th, 10.67.
They both move on to the finals.

Eleanor Kazanjian - a freshman! - won the Div. I Girls 100m hurdles at the Texas Relays in 13.83 (3.0w).

Ewan Curtis took 2nd in the Boys Div. I 110m hurdles with a time of 13.59 (3.3w).
