Cutting a second string fullback who was probably going to be on the healthy scratch list isn't shocking or terrible IMO. What is annoying is the fact that Line who is no worse than the junk tailbacks ahead of him wasn't given a chance to be a swing back(hybrid fullback/tailback). Even Rotoworld has mentioned that Asiata is plodding and only gets what is blocked. In other words he is a Poly. Trent Richardson.....http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/6958/matt-asiata

I was checking the inactives list on nfl.com and seen Line listed as active so they must have resigned him.

Maybe the list wasn't updated. Anyway the scintillating line of Asiata was 13 carries for 36 yards. It's a crime that Line couldn't compete against that type of back or worse his understudies.....:faint2:

Yea it's too bad the Vikqueers can't blame their miserable loss on Line and cut him again

It looks like Line was signed to the Vikings Practice Squad after he cleared the waiver wire. Obviously if Felton goes down he will be recalled but with the problems the Vikings have had with moronic behaviour of their players maybe he gets recalled sooner than later. Maybe Dave Chapelle was playing fantasy football as Viking for a week....http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/4859/jerome-simpson

The Vikings have released Jerome Simpson after charges surfaced about his most recent citation in July for marijuana possession, driving with limited license (whatever that means), and having an open bottle. Simpson was already serving a 3 game suspension for drunk driving in November. Adam Thielen now moves up the Depth Chart - Perhaps an injury away or TNB away from starting!

Yes, after the passionless has-been, Greg Jennings, Cordarrelle Patterson (who does appear to have some talent), and Jarius Wright, Thielen is now 3[SUP]rd[/SUP]/4[SUP]th[/SUP] on depth chart with Simpson gone. Against New England, Thielen was in the game during 3 WR sets.

Since he played at Minnesota State, I’d never heard of Thielen until last year. Here are his highlights…

I never heard of this guy but apparently he played Division III football. Yet another white athlete who was completely overlooked, forced to play Division III because no one else would take him, and is now on an NFL roster. He did well at his pro Day with a 4.45 40 and incredible agility.

Zach Line was promoted to the full roster again. Hopefully he will be activated on Sundays and not a healthy scratch. Anyway it will be interesting to see if he plays pure special teams or gets in the running back rotation. During the off season Rotoworld mentioned he could be in the mix to be a reserve tailback. Obviously that didn't happen but with mediocre play by the reserves maybe he gets a chance to tote the rock...http://espn.go.com/nfl/transactions
