Anothony had another outstanding game against Michigan St with 7 catches for 118 yards and a TD. He also had a 28 yard run on a reverse. Usually they only give reverses to Ginn but this time Gonzo got one and made the coaches look like geniuses. Living up here in the Ohio it is safe to say that Buckeye Nation has jumped all over the Anthony Gonzalez bandwagon. I'm starting to see #11 jerseys all over the place and this is due to Gonzalez becuase before that a #11 jersey was non exsistent. Also people love how fast and explosive Anthony is. They are also now starting to say, what we've been saying all along, that Gonzalez is the BEST WR on the team and not Ted Ginn, like the media would want you to believe.

how is he non white?

I didn't say he was non-white. I said, "Okay, so he's either 100% white or one-quarter non-white, depending on his paternal grandmother's ethnicity." And that he identifies himself as Hispanic.

I also stated, tongue in cheek, that he gets offended by racism like a thin-skinned non-white. That was meant to be sarcastic. Obviously, thin-skinned whites get offended by racism as well.

historically a lot of middle and upper class of Cuba were settlers from Spain as well, and that's even disregarding the fact that his family moved from Spain just two generation ago...

The article stated that his grandfather's from Spain.

He's White. The problem is most people in the U.S. are too ignorant to know that "Hispanic" is not a race.

Well then somebody please tell that liberal white boy Tony G. to grow some balls! Who cares if someone makes a joke about Hispanics! They're not referring to you, Spaniard!

But you're right that "Hispanic" is not a race. Is there even a term for the native population of Latin America? They're "Indians," but I hardly ever hear them called that. It's ridiculous that there's no widely accepted term that distinguishes the native population from the whites and blacks that came later.

This may be a glimpse into the future of America: when the races are so mixed together that no one bothers to classify them any more. Or when the concept of race is so irrelevant that it becomes pointless to do so.

That's Mexico,(except for the upper elite who would classify themselves as white). Way back they had a Spanish version of the racial classifications of America but because of 400 years many of these terms are unprovable anymore anyway. So many latino people that use these terms only guestimate what they are by their look. But even that can be bogus as same family members can look not like that classification at all.

I've had that myself. I am of Spanish ancestry and if it comes up in conversation right away donkeys think your part black or something. Some idiots literally have to be shown a map to see that Spain is part of Europe.

Yes , you are correct. We get that even here on Caste Football at times.

Mediterranean's are not black-Spaniards , Italians, Greek etc. There was a thread a while back where someone questioned the ethnicity of an obvious Mediterranean, but I didn't comment.

Matter of fact, there has been a lot of Mediterranean blood absorbed in Northern Europe-especially UK as Roman Empire extended up to Scottish border area.

Kinda reminds me of that Monty Python sketch "what did the Romans ever do for us"

Anthony had another great game on Saturday vs. Indiana with 4 catches for 69 yards and a TD. Gonzalez is really putting up some stellar numbers and looks to be having a fine season. He is on pace for over 50 catches and over 800 yards and already has 5 TDs.

Gonzo was named 1st team all-Big 10 by the coaches but strangely the media gave Ted Ginn the 1st team nod and regulated Gonzo to the racially more appropiate honorable mention team. To be selected by the coaches to the 1st team and yet to not even be on the 2nd team by members of the media smells a little fishy. Also as a side note #11 Anthony Gonzalez jerseys are selling like hot cakes around Ohio. When watching OSU games in public its refreshing to hear all the white people gushing about him cause they're so happy they got a legit white guy tearing it up.

Yeah , it is amazing how so many people think Hispanic is a race. Even when on many college/job
applications etc. in America, it states of optional
disclosing of ethnic origin "do you consider yourself
Hispanic white or "Hispanic non-white." All Hispanic is is a term for any latin language speaking people (I think Brazilians and other Portugesse speaking people in Latin America can classify themselves as Hispanic too, I could be wrong.) from the America continents. Although in truth it's really one continent, lol.

As far as Tony Gonzalez possibly having some Native American ancestry , it's unlikely unless it was way back...The guy has very light brown hair and is very fair skinned...but if he did does it really matter. I may be more liberal than most on this site as far as mixing of races, but I feel as long as the guy is mostly white, and not black at all, it helps to discredit the pro black anti-white sports caste system. I feel that should be the main goal of the site and to a lesser extent issues that negatively affect whites like affirmative action.

I admit to cheering more for white athletes then other non blacks..but I have seen some comments on this site that seem very demeaning to non whites that I want no part of. For instance one poster commented on Romo's "souless" blank stare in relation to his Mexican ancestry another poster commented using the term monkeys to describe an assault by blacks on a white football player...I think comments such as these make this site seem illegitamate when the site makes lots of true points.

This site would already be controversial in today's anti-white world b/c we discuss race, and genetic differences which is a taboo subject without crazy
comments like these! I'm not saying that most posters on this site think that way, but just that those comments don't help our cause!

I haven't seen him ranked on draft boards is he a senior? Seems that he should at least be on the fringes of the top 10 recievers for the draft.

Yeah, though some idiots always have to bring up how Gonzo might leave early. I 100% doubt it.

Tony Gonz's unofficial 40 time (college 40 time) is 4.38 according to NFLdraftscout.com. Ted Ginn Jr. has a college 40 time of 4.35 and is considered arguably the fastest guy in college football right now. That's a mere .03 difference. They are both listed at 6 foot even and have similar stats. Edited by: ToughJ.Riggins

TedGinnJr.: rec:59yards: 781 Yards/gm: 65.1rec avg: 13.2 Long: 58 TDs: 9

Anthony Gonzalez:rec: 49yards:723Yards/g m: 60.2rec avg: 14.8 Long: 33TDs: 8

Their stats are pretty similiar even though Troy Smith prefers throwing the ball to Ted Ginn. Gonzo definitley has better hands form what I hear, and gets open just as well! If I were a scout I'd have them both going on my draft board in the middle of the 1st! I think Anthony will be given a fairer shake by the caste system because he is "Hispanic" which probably helped him to be treated fair by Ohio St.Edited by: ToughJ.Riggins

Gonzo jerseys are out and about today in Ohio. I'm predicting a big game out of Anthony to the tune of:
6 catches for 94 yards and a TD!! GO BUCKS!!!

Gonzalezmay be drafted in the first round or early second round if he decides to enter this year's draft:

According to a source close to the program, Gonzalez's paperwork from the NFL concerning his draft status came back as good as can be expected - first round or early second - meaning he now has a difficult decision to make. Before leaving for Arizona, Gonzalez said he wanted to return for his senior season because of all the perks that come with being a senior. Namely, being a captain, which he is assured to be should he return. But the draw of the NFL may be too much.

The sheep might think Gonsalez is non european hispanic though jsut because of his last name and with the NFL pressing for the latin community he may become a poster child much like tony gonsalez. I hope he makes it clear he is of european origin...why anyone would want to be associated with new world hispanics is beyond me.

Good fit with the Colts, Manning will miss a Brandon Stokley and maybe after Harrison retires Gonz can move to the 2 reciever real quick.

Totally agree as that's what I'm hoping happens as well. Although you never know these WRs such as Harrsion I wouldn't be surprised if he pulls a Issac Bruce and decides to play until he's 40 and screw over a guy such as Kevin Curtis.
