After all the trash-talking, the screenprinted t-shirts featuring a decapitated Wlad and Vitali, after all the arrogant interviews, after the moronic confrontation with Wlad in front of media members....he's pulling out for 6-8 weeks due to a hand injury. This, mind you, was the same loud-mouth who was screaming "Wlad is a coward!"

I guess Haye didnt calculate that he'd have his period during June 20th. Wlad, once again, took the high road. I've never seen him despise an opponent so much...

"Asked if he accepted that Haye was injured, the 33-year-old said: "I'm not one to throw garbage at a man who's down, although if it was the other way around I'm sure he would do this."

I knew it!!! Haye is a true coward. Klitschko didn't have to give this bum a title fight. Haye will have to wait a little longer for his beating now.

What a weasel. A hand injury. He didn't get that from sparring, and if he was hitting the heavy bag with anything lighter than 10oz gloves he's as stupid as he looks. I personally think he didn't want to spend his summer healing from the beating he's going to get. As a consequence of Idiot pulling out, this fight may not happen at all and Idiot will never get his chance to eat Wladmir's knuckles. I was really looking forward to watching this beating more than any other fight this year. Damn if Idiot didn't just wimp out.

From what I read Sentana Sports might be in the process of folding. Haye's entire purse is being paid by them. I think the "injury" is a minor niggle that can past muster with an independent doctor. If this fight can't be made by September it won't happen until next year(barring an upset to either fighter).

So much for the "young" and "exciting" David Haye. After the infinate sh*t-talking....you'd think Haye could beat Wlad with one hand.

I still want to see this fight...I hope Wlad doesnt fight anyone until he pounds this undeserving little girlie.

Well, now the injury seems to have migrated from Haye's hand to his back. I don't know how that happens. Sounds better, though, I suppose.

And a better chance for some workman's comp, too, if Haye can find a cooperative doctor.

He could get on disability for years. The latest word is that Chagaev is being courted for the date. The only problem is Kohl who is the promoter for Chagaev isn't friendly with the Klitschko's since they left his company to form K2. Also they would take away his marquee belt if Chagaev lost. I suspect a b grade challenger will be found. One ugly rumour is that Michael Grant is being courted...

I was really looking forward to watching this fight. I was curious to see whether or not Haye really would back up his tough-talk of the preceding months.

I want to give him the benefit of the doubt, but the more I hear from his camp, the more I just want to write this alleged "injury" off as an attempt to duck Klitschko. Haye will obviously never own up to being just plain scared, or own up to suddenly coming to realize just how little chance he has of winning, but arrogant jerk that he is, he still wants to save face.

He wants to go on and on at parties or other places about how he "would have destroyed Klitchko, if it weren't for this terrible injury, darn it," and he will play that violin for a while, keeping fans on the precipice of hope that another date will be scheduled, but you just know Haye will duck out of that one, too.

He won't come right out and duck out, but he will make sure that certain circumstances emerge than just make it "impossible."

He's going to pull the Lewis game, maybe not retiring to avoid a Klitchko, but perhaps realizing belatedly that "I have decided to explore my options and opportunities at my current fighting weight."

Really, this bum hopes Klitchko will by some miracle be discredited by another fighter in the interim between this canceled bout and the next supposed bout, so that Haye can then say, "Wlad is not worthy my time."

He should be SO glad he's fighting Wladimir.

Vitali wouldn't so much as buy a coffin for Haye's corpse after murdering him.

At the moment they're looking at Chagaev to possibly fill in and fight Klitschko. It could be an unification match if the WBA lets Chagaev keep his belt. Right now the WBA's debating who gets the belt after the cancellation of his rematch with Valuev. If not they'll probably delay the Haye fight for three weeks and fight him on July 11.

Here's the link from fightnews

I would rather see Wladimir fight Chagaev. Haye doesn't deserve this fight but if they fight in July Haye will go down hard. From what I understand Valuev declined to fight Klitschko.

Hope it's not July 11th as that is the same night as the UFC 100 card.
Chagaev is a better fighter than the Great Black (actually mulatto) Hope anyway.
