Pulev is third best heavyweight in the world right now. Wlad is first and Povetkin second. Wilder is a bum and great black dope and I hope Stiverne exposes the fraud. After that, Pulev or Povetkin need to go after that belt.

Will those two bums ever fight? I thought it was supposed to happen this year. Does not look like either one of them is in any hurry to fight anyone.

Constant hitting behind the head by Pulev.

Yes this is true. I'm a huge Wlad fan but I have to admit Wlad does a lot of holding. What is Pulev supposed to do?

Hes trying to win the fight so roughing up Wlad in the clinches.

Wlad's punches have deadly accuracy though. Wlad's one of the best punchers in the game both in terms of power and accuracy.

Wow, perfect one punch KO by Wlad.

The left hook that was working all night. Caught Pulev just after Pulev had landed some of his own shots.

Wlad's a terrific offensive fighter and his punches were brilliant tonight.

Great KO.

Yes it seemed like Wlad's offense worked best when the Bulgarian was on the offensive. I also think Klitschko carried him in the first round. Pulev was out on his feet after the second knock down but Klitschko let him recover for whatever reason. One thing Pulev was standing too tall and should have been in a crouch or at least had flexed knees to absorb those bombs. But unlike other opponents after taking huge bombs he was there to win as he was firing bombs until the final left hook.

The British - if you can call them that - zio-announcers were ridiculing Wlad from the start. Their phony black heroes like Ali wouldn't have made it through round one unless he got on his bicycle and just ran away, which is all he could have done.

Did Pulev look so wide open in his previous fights?

Ali would not have stood a chance against Wlad. Ali was much smaller 6'2 78in reach. Wlad has I think and 82in reach. Ali was good at moving around, but he tending to lose a lot of rounds, vs Wlad who never loses any rounds. Wlad is much more dominate than Ali was.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong but I don't recall Pulev ever being dropped, or even seriously hurt for that matter. No, I've never seen Pulev beaten up like this and take shots as often and as hard as he did in the fight tonight. Wlad's punches are seriously accurate and his power is right up there among the best in HW history. He's a truly lethal puncher.

I actually thought Pulev was having some success. He was roughing Wlad up. But Wlad is a much better puncher, faster, and hits harder. The accuracy of his left hooks was apparent and power is the great equalizer.

Yea, it's important to remember that in the 1960's, 1970's, and 1980's boxing was essentially limited to being a "Western" sport. Americans, the odd Canadian, the odd Brit, the odd German/Italian and that was it. There were no Eastern Euros, no Asians, no Eurasians, and less South Americans.

Because of this, it's fundamentally incorrect to call people like Ali "World Champions". The world wasn't competing and in those days the pool for boxers was much smaller. Boxing is more competitive today than ever before and as a consequence of that many Black Americans have began losing.

People who reminisce about the Black Heroes of the Past, like Louis, Ali, Ray Leonard etc, are absolutely delusional. They are living in the past and arent happy with the current reality of boxing.

The only prior time I know of that Pulev was on the mat was, I think, his last fight, but that was more of an off balance slip and he just bounced up laughing. He was never hurt before.

Nor black Africans, nor Cuban ex-pats (Cubans themselves still can't turn pro), but most importantly no eastern Europeans or Russians. Ali never faced one. The famous Teofilo Stevenson of Cuba always wanted to fight Ali but he wasn't allowed to - and the Russian boxer Igor Vysotsky beat Stevenson both times they met, and of course he wasn't allowed to turn pro either.

The Greatest Of All Time.

No question about it. That is why our media will ignore him and continue to act like he doesn't even exist.

Way to put on an epic performance Wlad. What a knockout!!:becky:

No, Wlad is starting to get his due. Max actually praised him to the hilt today. I believe Ring has him in their top 3 p4p. And he is getting some mainstream fame as the husband of Hayden Panitierre.

Plus, at 38, Klitschko is at the top of his game and really getting even better! HBO just signed a 3 fight deal with The Greatest. Look for him to destroy some more great black hypes like Wilder.

Wow! 1st, Pulev was a formidable opponent but dirty. I can't remember seeing a fighter get away with the amount of rabbit punches he got away with! Pulev had moments, the 1st rd, he dazed Wlad, less than a minute in. He staggered Wlad and Wlad was able to clear his head quickly. That KO punch that ended the fighter was sensational. To me it ranks up there with Maricano's KO of Wilcott. Pulev never saw it coming, a hybrid left hook/cross. Congrats Wlad it seems you are getting better with age.

Pulev is one tough guy, though. It sure looked like he was finished in round one.

you are right, Max even said Amerika missed out on not covering the Twin headed snake when Vitali was still fighting. I guess maybe he understands now how great the K brothers were.

Just viewed the replay, yeah, Pulev staggered Wlad 30 seconds in of the 1st round with a hard left jab. The HBO crew did not see it, but I saw it clearly. Over at ESB, some bloggers noted it as well. Great fight and performance by one of the GOATs of all time.

They were talking about the best moments for Wlad, and to this day for me it's not a ko, but just one of the funniest boxing moments. The David Haye fight is for me the best moment. David Haye was introduced FIRST, so like an idiot he chooses to delay his introduction and then finally comes out, and all these British guys are waving there aluminum foil sheets in support. So when Wlad is introduced Vitali shuts the door and makes all those idiots wait for Wlad to come out. Great move just showed how stupid Haye was.
