It probably is staged and it wouldn't surprise me if Briggs is being paid for his antics by K2 the Klitchko's promotional company.Wlad knows the power of social media from the Haye fight.When Haye confronted Wlad in the shopping mall the video got hundreds of thousands of views and turned their respective fight into a super fight. Briggs is American,has a big personality and is a trained actor[has appeared in films] so he knows how to play the part.

It's hard to say if this is staged or not, it could be, and Wlad may even be in on it.

I remember before Briggs fought Vitali they were all buddy-buddy before the fight then Vitali gave Briggs the beating of a lifetime. Briggs spent about a week in a German hospital after that fight and hid entire head looked disfigured.

As a boxing fan, I dont like watching anyone take a beating like that. Because it absolutely is brain damaging and it will pop up later in Briggs' life if it hasnt already.

The truth is Briggs shouldnt be fighting anymore. But I guess its his choice and his life. Wlad will give him another pasting if they fight.

In Briggs interest its better that the fight with Wlad never happens.

So Wladimir did the press conference totally alone. (Kubrat's seat at the conference table was vacant).

Yes many of Wlad opponents have been regarded as walkover opponents. That said Wlad has treated walkover and medium shot opponents in a similar fashion. His reign has been so dominant that if he gets tagged hard it causes the announcers to act like he went spaghetti legged.

Big heavyweight clash in the best and biggest and strongest and most international heavyweight division ever. Odds are down to 5 to 1 now. Pulev looks like he's in top shape, and of course Wlad always is. This could be good - or Wlad's pile driver jab might stop Pulev dead in his tracks, like everybody else. I'm looking forward to this one.

I'm looking forward to this fight. Both guys look in great shape. Wlad's ripped as always and even Pulev is cut. Wlad is obviously the clear #1 and Pulev is certainly in the top 5 if not the top 3. So this is a legitimate titlefight.

Pulev has insulted Wlad in the media, saying he "acts like a little girl and has the heart of a little girl", he also non showed at the press conference, and when he has shown he's been hostile toward Wlad.

Pulev seems to be confident and has promised to be aggressive. Being aggressive and brawling with Wlad is good because its the only chance Pulev has . No way Pulev will outbox Wlad.

Should be a great fight and it will be interesting if Pulev makes it a scrap.

Prediction: Close fight that Wlad edges on decisio or he knocks out an aggressive Pulev late. As great as Wlad is (and *he is great* arguably the most dominant HW in history) I do think Pulev has a small chance at an upset here. Call it a 10 percent upset chance.

I agree that Klitschko and Povetkin are the clear #1 and #2 at heavyweight.

Pulev is probably next but I think Tyson Fury also deserves a shout as he's competently beaten very good opposition (Chisora, Johnson, Cunningham). In fact, as I recall, Fury won a WBC eliminator some years back, I believe his fight with Kevin Johnson, and should have earned the right to challenge for the WBC belt but somehow that didn't come about and it ended up being contested by Stiverne and Arreola. Stiverne is probably the #5 guy. So for me, Pulev is 3 or 4.

Wladimir has been in these matchups before. He stopped Chris Byrd, Calvin Brock, and Ruslan Chagaev, and at the time of those fights those opponents were top-3ish guys at heavyweight. When Wlad beat Haye and Povetkin they were both the clear #2 guy.

Wladimir is such a boss, shaking everyone's hand at the weigh in and waving to people. Just another day in the life for the champ.

I know I said Pulev has a 10% upset chance but watching the weigh in, you get the impression he has no chance. Wladimir always trains very hard and if he's at his best this will probably be a walk in the park.

Pulev's no doubt a tough guy and I admire that he refuses to sign with German interests to stay true to his country, which is Bulgaria I think. Bulgaria, now what's to hang your hat on there? Can't think of anything. Rumania has Dracula. Hungary had Zsa Zsa Gabor. But Bulgaria...hmmm. thinking....nothing comes to mind. But now Bulgaria will have the latest guy to get his ass kicked by Vladimir Klitscho.

This should mostly be target practice for Vlad, with maybe an uncomfortable moment or two dealing with Pulev's strength when he tries to get inside. Pulev has a big melon so he looks like he can take a punch. Vlad will pace himself and just keep bouncing jabs rights and occasional hooks off his head till Pulev or his corner figure it out, however long that takes.`

A lights out highlight reel KO would be nice though.
