Sorry for this being over a week late, but, regarding the Titans-Chargers game, did anyone notice that Ladanian Tomlinson's "second effort" game winning TD should not have been allowed?
He made his big dive, got hit and knocked backward, was clearly going to fall completely backwards, then all of a sudden, gets pushed forward - plain as day! - by one of his blockers, so that he tips forward just enough to lean over the goal line in mid-air, to get the TD call.
It's similar to footage of someone trying cross a small river or stream by pole vaulting over it. You know, they plunge the end of the pole into the water, go up and across, but, didn't quite get enough speed or momentum behind it, they get about halfway across, but then lose all the momentum, and only fall backwards? That's all I could think of when I saw the replays.
Naturally, all the announcers say is the usual "A great second effort by Tomlinson",etc, etc. BS!!!! Nothing more than another case Blackie gets away with pushing / helping a fellow "bruhthuh" over the goal line.( Reggie Bush against Notre Dame,2005 anyone? ) Edited by: Weltner
