Well, it looks like the Mountain West just got a lot darker with BYU leaving, becoming an Independent, and Fresno State and Nevada becoming new members.

I don't believe BYU has officially left the MWC yet, but they very well may. Fresno and Nevada certainly won't help the Whiteness though, or the reputation of the conference. I sure never thought these conference changes would amount to all this. I really hate to see the Whitest conference in the FBS get messed with, but doesn't that fit in with everything else in the Caste era?

With some new Oregon State info, that brings the number of 2010 half-White or better teams to within 1 of 2009's total!

Thank you Colonel and all the other poster who put in the time and effort. The college football write-ups are one of the things that makes Caste Football the best sports forum on the web.

Thanks Freethinker! I've updated to the original post and the final numbers post as well. Right now there are 2 more half White or better teams than last year. I sure wouldn't have thought that looking at it two months ago. I hope these positive changes keep happening and more teams can be added to the list!

Thanks to some new info, there are currently 3 more half White or better teams than last season. Its nice to see these numbers swing a little bit more in our favor as the season begins! Of course, we can't forget that many of the darker teams have become even darker. Still, I'm glad the numbers have gone up over the last few weeks!

Colonel, I still have to go back and check a few of the teams I previewed. I'll do that within the next few days. We might make some gains and hopefully no losses in white starters.

No hurry, wa33. I hope you are right though. Since a good number of college football teams still have majority White rosters, injuries to or position battles lost by black starters sometimes benefit Whites who are relegated to the second string.

There have been significant changes in some of the teams I previewed earlier and checked up on yesterday.

The previews for 2010 are done! Check the original post on page 1 of this thread for the Whitest Teams list, which is being updated whenever someone provides new info. Thanks to all who have helped this season. I appreciate it! Now for some numbers comparing things from year to year.

Number of teams that started at least 11 whites out of 22 positions since 2005
2005-35 teams out of 89-used non-black criteria
2006-36 teams out of all 119-used non-black criteria
2007-26 teams out of all 120-used non-black criteria
2008-26 teams out of all 120-used strict criteria
2009-33 teams out of all 120-used strict criteria
2010-36 teams out of all 120-used strict criteria

Number of teams that started at least 10 whites out of 22 positions since 2005
2005-43 teams out of 89-used non-black criteria

2006-48 teams out of all 119-used non-black criteria

2007-37 teams out of all 120-used non-black criteria

2008-36 teams out of all 120-used strict criteria

2009-47 teams out of all 120-used strict criteria

2010-48 teams out of all 120-used strict criteria

At the moment,
the number of half White or better teams is two higher this year than last,
while the number of teams with 10 White starters is the same.

Let's
compare the number of White starters for each team from last year's
least White conference (SEC) to last year's Whitest conference (MWC)
with those same conferences for this upcoming season.

2009
Southeastern Conference
Vanderbilt-11/22
Alabama-8/22
Arkansas-7/22
Tennessee-6/22
Georgia-5/22
LSU-5/22
Mississippi State-5/22
Ole Miss-5/22
South Carolina-5/22
Auburn-3/22
Florida-3/22
Kentucky-3/22

Total of 66/264 (25%) in the SEC

Mountain West Conference
BYU-16/22
Colorado State-16/22
Air Force-15/22
Wyoming-15/22
Texas Christian-10/22
New Mexico-8/22
San Diego State-8/22
UNLV-8/22
Utah-8/22

Total of 104/198 (52.52%) in the MWC

2010
Southeastern Conference
Vanderbilt-10/22
Kentucky-8/22
Arkansas-6/22
Georgia-6/22
LSU-5/22
Mississippi State-5/22
Alabama-4/22
Auburn-4/22
South Carolina-4/22
Tennessee-4/22
Florida-3/22
Ole Miss-2/22

Total of 61/264 (23.11%) in the SEC

Mountain West Conference
BYU-17/22
Air Force-14/22
Colorado State-13/22
Wyoming-13/22
Texas Christian-11/22
Utah-11/22
UNLV-8/22
New Mexico-6/22
San Diego State-6/22

Total of 99/198 (50%) in the MWC

Thanks to some pre-season changes, the MWC is still half White when it comes to starters. Of course these numbers could still change. On the other end of the stick, the SEC was a miserable one quarter White last season but still managed to make that number lower this year. Hopefully some
injuries or changes to the starters will bring this number up as well, but I'm not holding my breath. At least two of these Systematically Excluding Caucasian teams have coal black defensive depth charts. It hasn't been good to be a White SEC football player for a long time, and this season appears to be the worst yet.

Just to let you know, I'll be doing what I did last year, and update the Bowl Team's white starters. If anyone wants to help, that'd be great, just pick a team, and find a recent depth chart.Edited by: Jack Lambert
