With all the divisive talk about BQBDS lately, I thought it might be nice for a change to discuss something that can unite us, White Quarterback Derangement Syndrome (WQBDS). WQBDS is common among DWFs and especially media talking heads and self-proclaimed football "gurus." Symptoms include, but are not limited to:
- DFWs of a team with a talented White QB who has the potential to be great with the right coaching calling him "terrible" and constantly shrieking for him to be replaced (almost always by a non-white QB). Bears DWFs were particularly egregiously guilty of this with Mitch Trubisky.
- Management mistreating a talented White QB and running him out of town, typically to the cheers of the local DWFs, only for said QB to find success elsewhere (Baker Mayfield, Daniel Jones, Sam Darnold, etc.)
- When a White QB is so good his talent can't be denied, accusing him of being a "cheater" or some other nonsense (many DWFs did this to Tom Brady).
- Blaming a White QB when his defense chokes (Peyton Manning in the Broncos' playoff game against the Ravens) or keeps choking year after year (Josh Allen having to constantly score 40 points a game to bail out the Bills' defense).
- Labeling a White QB a career "choker" based on one incident (Tony Romo is the best example of this).
- Scapegoating a White QB for all his team's failures, failing to take into account crap defense, lack of good receivers, a poor and often sumo-heavy offensive line, bad coaching, etc.
- In the draft, being obsessed with things like height, hand size, and 40-yard dash times which have little to no correlation with how well a QB will perform in the NFL, and only ever using those traits against White players (the big deal made over six-footer Drew Brees' height, while 5'8" Kyler Murray was given a free pass).
- The controlled media ignoring talented White QBs in the draft, resulting in them being drafted much later than they should have (Riley Leonard, Kurtis Rourke, and Quinn Ewers are three examples from this year's draft alone) - or sometimes not being drafted at all when they certainly should have been.
- Writing off a White QB after a very short period of time, only to be proven wrong when said QB gets much better very quickly afterward (Jared Goff).
- With dual-threat White QBs, the most hated of all QBs and perhaps the most hated of all athletes by the Caste System, management of different teams colluding to blackball them from the league. Two words. Tim. Tebow.
These things only seem to happen to White QBs. While obviously anti-white racism is involved, in an ironic twist WQBDS may also be influenced by latent anti-black racism among smug leftists and self-righteous NeverTrumper cuckservatives (most sufferers of WQBDS fall into one of those two political categories). People afflicted with WQBDS tend to be unathletic, nerdy guys who were jealous of White athletes in high school and project that resentment onto White NFL players. They generally don't project that onto black players because they see blacks as otherkin and therefore don't view them as "competition."
Essentially, sufferers of WQBDS cannot show respect to a White QB under any circumstances and will label all White QBs as "bad" or "cheaters." And I can say with great confidence that among the general population, WQBDS is far, far, far more common than its opposite cousin BQBDS.
Feel free to add more examples of WQBDS. And let's have some fun with this and mock those who are afflicted with this disease, for they deserve to be mocked.
