I went on Fightnews yesterday and most of the DWF"s are picking Trout to win, calling Canelo a fraud whose "never fought anyone." Hopefully he wins and in convincing fashion to shut these morons up.

Ive never seen Trout fight but he's favoured over Alvarez by many people. This seems to be a 50/50 fight he also appears bigger from the photos.Hopefully Alvarez pulls it out.

This is a huge fight for Canelo. If he wins, it will establish him as a solid star if not superstar. It will not be a walk in the park for him. Look for the double and triple left hook to the body and then head to get the job done for him. Trout is a solid B level fighter. Already the MSM is talking of him as being a P4P fighter if he beats Canelo! Notice no such description for Canelo if he beats Trout. Always the double standard and slight of hand for affelets.

Good win for Canelo against a good world class fighter! He is the unified Champ at 154 lbs. Congrats! Now a couple of pros and cons regarding his performance tonight.

Pros:

1. Excellent defense and head movement.

2. Power in both hands. Continues to progress.

3. Only 22 yrs old.

Cons:

1. Has to increase his stamina

2. Needs to utilize his great jab more to get in.

3. Wild at times.

Side note: Austin Trout was very classy in defeat. Reminds me of the black athelets of the 60s and 70s. Nothing bad to say about him and his performance. He just doesn't have enough power.

Most of the DWF's on Fightnews were picking Trout to pull out the win. Even now some are saying he was robbed.

Would love to see Canelo (means cinnamon in Spanish) be the one to dethrone Mayweather the clown.

The zio tv cameras kept showing loving closeups of the white (with possibly a touch of the tarbrush) prostitute who I guess was Trout's paramour. They love to do that.

Now this kid Alvarez is the real deal. I'd love for him to fight Martinez or GGG. Both would be great fights. Also I think he can beat Mayweather. Pussy Floyd will never fight him though.

I liked Canelo's defense. Good head movement. A lot of Trout's punches were whiffs or glove pounders.

Awesome defense, and he can hit very hard - but I thought that Trout's corner was right when they said he looked tired.

Canelo Alvarez: Outboxing the Boxer

One thing that I don’t think very many people expected was Saul “Caneloâ€￾ Alvarez to outbox Austin Trout in Saturday’s junior middleweight title fight on Showtime. Once Canelo came out and started slipping Trout’s jab in the opening round it set the tone for the fight. Trout was supposed to be the smarter, slicker boxer here, but Canelo was the fighter showing the superior head and upper-body movement. In the fifth round he had had Trout missing with four consecutive punches and seemed to give a little smile of satisfaction.
While the unanimous scoring in Canelo’s favour seemed a bit on the wide side, there was no question about who won the fight. Canelo’s knockdown of Trout in the seventh round was the punctuation mark on a very impressive display of boxing and fighting by the redheaded Mexican superstar...

Alvarez vs Angulo

This should be entertaining for however it lasts. If Alvarez is as skilled as I think he is, there is now way for him to lose this. But Angulo has Ward's trainer(Virgil Hunter) and he is quite good, so he will be a live underdog. Does any one have a stream of this fight tomorrow?

Carachias usually posts a link. If he doesn't I will post one or pm you tonight as I should be watching the main event. I don't know about the preamble to the main event though....
