White Linebackers -- 2009

here's an article about Tyler Moeller

from the article:

Late in the first quarter, Moeller locked in on Marshall's Andre Booker and ran him out of bounds for a 4-yard loss.
"After that first hit, everything else felt natural," Moeller said.
His swagger also returned.
"He got a tackle and said, 'I may be white, but I'm fast!'" Buckeyes linebacker Brian Rolle recalled. "He said it out loud."

I love Tyler Moeller but with quotes like that the system has already got you beat.

I think it was refreshing to hear him say it out loud. To me it sounds like he is saying screw the brotha's we white boys can play with anybody, and it is about damn time white folks started sticking up for themselces and their entire race.

Tom Wort is a future stud in the making at OU. He's been all over the field tracking down plays and tracked a RB about 15 yards down field and chasing him down. The future looks bright for him starting this early(RS FR.) at OU!!

Yes he sure is celticdb!Wort is veryimpressive flying all over the field...who's only going to get better...very instinctive...tremendous upside...from the U.K. not playing til 8th grade!

Also OLB 6'-5" Craig Roh (only a soph.) for Michiganhas the look of a Sunday player! The announcers said he's one of the teams most athletic players! I posted his pic above...BTW can someone switch this to a 2010 thread keeping the pics..but this thread was statred last November.

The affletic coal-black D looks inept for the Seminoles...fundamental tackling is a lost art!

Yep. I remember last year, FSU's jock-sniffing defensive coordinator (whose name escapes me right now), said something like "we have our fastest defense ever since I've been here"...and they finished ranked 100-something in total defense....couldn't tackle to save their lives.

^ You think they would learn by now...but they arein a drooling trance.....It would be nice to see 2nd string DB Justin Bright get a chance for the Noles...he can't be any worse!

Nice to see Tyler Moeller back on the field...he reportedly runs a 4.48 according to NFL Draft Scout...that's fast for any color!Edited by: TwentyTwo

Audie Cole, NC State: 12 tackles, a sack & an INT

Colin McCarthy, Miami: 11 tackles

Luke Kuechly, BC: 10 tackles

Jason Werner, Purdue: 6 tackles and 3 PDs

Joey Ehrmann, Wake Forest: 5 tackles and 3 PDs

Audie Cole looked very good last night vs the Bearcats. I noticed a couple other white d-linemen on NC State as well.

We really are excellent linebackers!

Nick Reveiz, Tennessee: 14 tackles

Jeff Tarpinian, Iowa: 12 tackles and a sack

Ross Homan, Ohio State: 7 solo tackles and an INT

Tyler Nielsen, Iowa: 7 tackles

Jason Werner, Purdue: 5 tackles and an INT

Jason Werners a seriously productive linebacker thats underated to the extent that he dosnt appear on any draft rankings. He made 15 TFL last season which are great stats [but not surprising considering he runs a reported sub 4.5 and was a high school track star] and is continuing that good form this season.

Utah junior Chaz Walker looks a star with over 30 tks already.

Chase Thomas, Stanford: 3 tackles and 2 sacks!

Alex Debniak, Stanford: 4 tackles

Mitch Zajac, Western Michigan: 9 tackles

Chris White, Mississippi State: http://espn.go.com/ncf/player/profile?playerId=483163

After 3 games, 22 tackles.

People who think Whites are "physically inferior" need to read this thread. That's why I want to put good info on this thread.

Indeed Deadlift. The good news is that a white player will replace him, in Blake Sorenson

Senior stud LB Derek Domino of the South Dakota State Jackrabbits was in Nebraska's backfield and stuffing the run all night. I'll edit this post with his stats against Nebraska when they're available. He's 6'3", 225lbs (his player bio link (below) lists him incorrectly at 255lbs.) How does amazing talent like his end up on SDSU? Of course, that's a rhetorical question. No wonder they played Nebraska so tough.

Edit: Derek had 16 total tackles against Nebraska, 2 of them for losses and he got an INT that he returned for 14 yards.

These defense-based threads are very important, because the worst thing that could happen is if we think that our athletes did "nothing" on Saturdays. It looks like this was a good week for our studs!

Luke Kuechly, BC: 16 tackles and a sack!

Mark Herzlich, BC: 7 tackles and an INT

Nick Reveiz, Tennessee: 14 more tackles!

Chase Thomas, Stanford: 7 tackles and a PD

Matt Berning, CMU: 13 tackles and a sack!

Nick Bellore, CMU: 10 tackles, a sack and an INT!

Alex Wujciak, Maryland: 10 tackles

Brian Wagner, Akron: 9 tackles

Jeff Tarpinian, Iowa: 9 tackles

Tank Carder, TCU: 8 tackles

Nate Stupar, PSU: 7 tackles, a sack & an INT

Mike Mauti, PSU: 7 tackles

(Future Beast) Max Bullough, Michigan State: 4 tackles and an INT!

I did some spacing, so, hopefully, it will be easier to read the stats.

I like Nick Bellore, he's a Wisconsin guy who has really shined at CMU. He impressed me with his game yesterday against Northwestern. He was all over the field and he made plays rushing the QB, in coverage, and stuffing the run. Underrated guy who could end up making a final 53 man roster, kind of like his old teammate Frank Zombo(Packers).

How about Matt Berning? Do you think his burst and strength are Pat Angerer-esque, or how would you describe him?

I think the Angerer comparison is spot on. Both are similar in size and I'm sure the "experts" will knock his athleticism coming out of college as they did with Angerer.

*BTW Berning is a native of Germany. Good to see "diversity" in the NCAA

Berning would be productive in any conference... he's built like a tank and knows how to wrap-up! He's fun to watch.

Brian Hendricks, Wyoming: 13 tackles against Air Force (44 for the season!)

Chris White, Mississippi State: 7 tackles

Casey Matthews, Oregon: 6 tackles & an INT

Derek Earls, Arizona: 5 tackles

Luke Kuechly, BC: 14 tackles

Brian Wagner, Akron: 13 tackles

Matt Berning, CMU: 12 tackles (he has to be rising up on draft boards)

Nick Reveiz, Tennessee: 11 tackles and an INT

Tom Wort, Oklahoma: 10 tackles and a sack

Tanner Brock, TCU: 10 tackles

Casey Matthews, Oregon: 8 tackles

Audie Cole, NC State: 7 tackles and 2 sacks

Tank Carder, TCU: 7 tackles and a sack

Tyler Nielsen, Iowa: 5 tackles and 4 PDs

Mike Mauti, Penn State: 5 tackles and a sack

Chase Thomas, Stanford: 4 tackles and an INT
