german denis is really having an incredible season: he scored his goal number 10! and it was against napoli! he is the top scorer in italy
he scored against the big teams (inter, as roma, napoli), wich is impressive, and shows he is trully world class
as i said during the copa america in the copa america thread, too bad argentina prefers higuain and the midgets, because german denis is, with maxi lopez, the best argentine striker

http://videa.hu/videok/sport/ata-1-nap-2RqP0QWefKslhulb
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WyOveha87cc&feature=player_embedded

and giroud scored 3 goals in ligue 1! incredible
the 3 goals:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7V3AQFPBYeI

this will definitely help him to be part of the french team for the euro 2012, as bafetimbi gomis, who is suposed to be a threat for him :)icon_rolleyes:) is scoreless since a long time
montpellier are now leaders of ligue 1, what a surprise! and this because of giroud!
giroud is more than ever top scorer in ligue 1

the polish guy you talked about in this thread scored a very important goal in a very important match for dortmund (at the top of german bundesliga, shalke- dortmund)
congratulations to him!

from what i understand, maxi lopez is a new ac milan player
it is unoficial, but the deal is done
does anybody understand italian?
http://www.corrieredellosport.it/se...207225/Milan:+Maxi+Lopez,+poi+assalto+a+Tevez

i can't wait to see him wearing the ac milan jersey!

it also seems that they want to buy tevez in addition to maxi, so it shows that they don't really count on pippo inzaghi for this season.......:mmph:

Pippo is 38 and is getting too old. If he was a defender, he might still play but for an attacker it's not likely. As for Maxi, it seems the deal is done and he may play together with Tevez (both will be on loan with the option of a buy-out). Throw in Ibrahimovic and Pato and the competition will be super hard. Wish him the best of luck, always liked the player.
If by chance Milan retreats at the last moment, it seems an offer of Genova is already on the table. Not as good as Milan, but much better than Catania.

Pippo can't do the attacking for his team.. i agree he is already old for that position which needs more stamina.. It will be great to see Tevez and maxi to play together,.. it will be must watch tandem.. it will add more excitement in the field..

montpellier won 4-0, and is still leader of french ligue 1
giroud scored a goal, and gave 3 assists

he is still the top scorer of ligue 1, with 12 goals, but he now also is montpellier's player with most assists
(and the media always praise the arab playmaker for allowing giroud to score so much, giroud actually made 2 times more assists than belhanda the arab playmaker)

the racial breakdown of the team, just for fun:

montpellier:
3 whites
2 arabs
6 blacks (1 brazilian)

3 whites entered as substitutes

3 goals by whites, 1 goal by a black
3 assists by giroud, and no assist on the goal scored by giroud

lewandowski continues to score!
he scored 12 goals so far
what is impressive is that he was not titular at the beginning, but he did better than the paraguayan barrios and now barrios wants to leave the club

he was voted polish player of the year
http://www.iewy.com/38009-lewandowski-voted-polands-player-of-the-year.html

and more interesting, liverpool is interested in him
http://www.emirates247.com/premier-...ndesliga-star-lewandowski-2011-12-12-1.432343

maxi lopez scored his last goal for catania, and will play for ac milan for the rest of the season

and german denis scored his 11 th goal, he is still the top scorer of the italian league

it has been an amazing year for the strikers i follow, usually there is a lot of frustration but this year giroud, maxi lopez and german denis, the strikers i follow every year, are doing extremely well
giroud played for france for the first time, german is back in the national team, and maxi should (i hope) get back to the top, now playing for ac milan

since it's the hivernal pause , here is a summary of the goal scorers in the leagues i follow:

spain:

1: cristiano ronaldo with 20 goals white (his goals: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h84vaFPC9Rc&feature=related)
2: messi with 17 goals white (his goals: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HjccVNbiOP8&feature=related)
3:higuain with 12 goals white

then soldado (white)

higuain scored 12 goals in 708 minutes while benzema scored 8 goals in 816 minutes, but benzema is still considered the number one striker of real madrid :icon_rolleyes:
it's because of zidane's influence, or because madrid targeted the arab-muslim market (the president, perez, said publicly that he will try to have more muslim players because of this)

the first non white is south american falcao (mestizo) at the 5 th position

as you can see in the videos, ronaldo scored more in liga, but messi scored more overall (including the goals in champions league and various cups)
i personally think messi's goals are more impressive

italy:

1:german denis with 12 goals white
2:ibrahimovitch with 11 goals white
3:di natale with 10 goals white

the first non white is the south american cavani, 4th (but he is mainly white, and small part amerindian)
and there are no arabs or blacks in the top scorers, the first part-black is boateng with 3 goals, 24 th

worth mentioning, klose is 5 th

all the goals from german denis , by me:

france:

like i said in the "french soccer" thread, whites are only 20% of the strikers of the league, and most of them never play
but whites are, ofcourse, dominating

1: giroud with 13 goals white
2: gameiro with 9 goals white
3: 8 players are tied, including eden hazard (white), and a bunch of black strikers with 7 goals

lisandro lopez (white), despite being injuried for the most part of the season, is only 1 goal from the third place, so the top 3 french goal scorers should be 100% white at the end of the season

all the goals by olivier giroud, and his assists, plus a few disallowed goals, by me:

germany:

1: mario gomez with 16 goals white
2: huntelaar with 15 goals white
3: lukas podolsky with 14 goals white

then lewandowsky, the surprise of the year in bundesliga with 12 goals tied with claudio pizarro both are white
worth mentioning, veteran raul scored 10 goals, he is 6th

the first non whites are black papiss cissé and arab abdelloue , both 8th

premier league:

1: van persie with 16 goals white
2: aguero with 14 goals white
tied with: rooney with 14 goals white
and: demba ba with 13 goals black

unfortunately, dzeko slowed a little bit, hopefully he can score more , he has scored 10 goals
balotelli scored only 8 goals

not bad for a very black league
i wonder if there are as much white strikers in premier league as in french ligue 1 (20%) or even less

south american league: (portugal )

1: diawara black african 9 goals
2: edgar black-mixed brazilian 8 goals
3: oscar cardozo indian-mixed paraguayan 8 goals
4: wolfswinkel white european 7 goals
hulk brazilian mestizo 7 goals
nolito spanish white 7 goals
lima brazilian mestizo 7 goals

white brazilian kleber has only 6 goals, i hope he will score more

wolfswinkel (sporting) and nolito (benfica) are the 2 big european surprises

and merry christmas to everybody!:)

Thanks for the great update Frederic. I knew about the White players in England but it's great to see the dominance in other leagues too. That bicycle kick by Giroud was pretty awesome.

It's no coincidence that White countries have the most success in the World Cups. As an aside, black goalkeepers are absolutely terrible and it showed in some of those high-lites.

Here's a compilation of every goal scored by Borussia Dortmund's Polish striker Robert Lewandowski in all competitions (Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal [i.e. German Cup], Champions League) so far this season:

It looks like there are few blacks in the German league. I wonder how many Brazilians they have.

Is Robert a common Polish name?

There are a fair few blacks and Brazilians in the Bundesliga.

I've just had a quick squiz at the lineups of Borussia Dortmund's last Bundesliga match against SC Freiburg (the Bundesliga has paused for the winter break). Dortmund started 1 black Brazilian (Felipe Santana), 1 Turk (Ilkay Gundogan) and 1 Asian (Shinji Kagawa) and brought on the black "German" Patrick Owomoyela plus Paraguayan mestizo Lucas Barrios in the second half. Freiburg started 2 blacks and 1 Albanian and added another black eight minutes from the end.

Europe said:

Robert is a common enough name in Poland.

Here is a link to the twenty most common Polish baby names in 2010:

http://www.gazetaprawna.pl/wiadomos...arniejszych_imion_dla_dzieci_w_2010_roku.html

"Robert" doesn't feature in the top twenty, but here is a list of the top 50 baby names from 2004, in which "Robert" comes in at number 24:

http://jezyk-polski.cislo.pl/materialy/teoria/najpopularniejsze_imiona_w_polsce.htm

Just out of interest, my name is at number 10 on the 2004 list... :icon_wink:

and mine, or a variant thereof is at number 6. i win!

PS i want Robert to challenge for Bundesliga scoring title, i am sure he will be high up there if you include goals and assists. i am very happy that he made Barrios an afterthought!

Backrow - I'd be happy if he netted another 12 goals in the second half of the Bundesliga season. Maintaining goalscoring form is of paramount importance in the leadup to Euro 2012...

You may or may not remember this one, but here's Lewandowski's first goal for Lech Poznan, scored on his debut in a 2-3 loss to GKS Belchatow back in August 2008:

It seems Maxi is going to Fulham on loan.
Milan sold Pato to PSG and it seems they will buy Tevez.
Too bad for Maxi. And too bad for Pato...
PSG is doing a lot of shopping these days - they even want Kaka from Real.

PSG is also close to getting maicon, they just bought maxwell today
basically, they want to buy every known brazilian player
they wanted uvini, kaka, leandro damiao
they want tevez also

there are like 5 diferent new rumors per day

i didn't talk too much about PSG (never actually) because the media only talks about them, it's annoying

to make it short, for those on the site who are not aware, PSG became the new manchester city, a rich arab bought the club, and now they invest a lot in order to be at the top of europe
so far they were kicked out of europa league by atletic bilbao and their 11 basques (the irony is sickening) and by a club i don't even know the name, it was a club from austria

if milan really sell pato to buy tevez, while they could have bought maxi lopez for nothing, they are crazy

don't be too upset because PSG buys a lot of brazilian players, the french league is the worst of all, so is the country they call france
france already has more than 30% black newborns in the whole country (more than 50% in paris), so a brazilian or 2 won't hurt
i'm happy to have them in the french league
i can't wait until the french suporters start to criticize pato like they criticize lugano or pastore

as for maxi lopez, looks like his career is over
i won't watch him play for fulham, i think he is unadapted to the premier league
maybe after the 6 months loan he will go to a club where the south americans nobody want usually go, like turkey, or portugal
i won't watch him play there either, but he would be given the chance to shine in champions league (the last time he played in champions league was 6 years ago or so)

by the way lazio just bought the uruguayan emiliano alfaro (23 years old, looks atleast 30)
hopefully he will replace cissé

My thoughts exactly... sometimes Milan (and other BIG teams) are simply obsessed with BIG names.
If they really want to sell Pato, keeping the money and baying Maxi for peanuts would have been logical.

the country they call france france already has more than 30% black newborns in the whole country (more than 50% in paris)

That is sad. France is running towards a racial war. Especially in big cities. I have the feeling that the point of no return will be reached very soon.

Latest news say Pato refused to go to PSG. Supposedly Pato is linked to Barbara Berlusconi, the daughter of the Italian ex-prime minister, so I am not surprised. Therefore, no Tevez in Milan. We'll see how it goes, these transfer-market stories change by the hour - soap operas for boys.

in france, great goal by giroud in a very important match, against one of the top teams, lyon
goal number 14 of the season
laurent blanc's staff was in the stadium for this match, it's safe to say giroud will be in the french national team for the euro 2012
it was the only goal of the match

giroud almost scored a beautiful over the head kick once again:
olivier-giroud-dans-ses-oeuvres-face-a-une-defense-lyonnaise.jpg

meanwhile in spain, benzema played the whole match for real madrid, and didn't score
higuain came in during the second half, and scored
higuain continues to score more than the annoying french arab benzema

if anyone has infos about maxi lopez, please post them
i don't know where to search, and in france they don't talk about him
he is my favourite player, it makes me mad to be clueless about where he will play for the rest of the season

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

as an aside, an interview that show why olivier giroud is unique in french soccer: (old interview)
"interviewer: you are christian
how do you manage to love your fellow men in this cruel world?
giroud: if someone hits me, i don't turn the other cheek
but religion helps me making it through life
some precepts should be followed"

i think it deserved to be highlighted, since there are some french players like ribery or bodmer who are muslim converts
source: http://toursfc.over-blog.com/articl...iroud-apres-tours-fc-angers-sco-40288517.html

also, let's remember that bazdarevic (a bosnian coach), while giroud "played" (he didn't play that much) for grenoble, said that giroud wasn't good enough for ligue 1, and wasn't even good enough for ligue 2
and how ridiculous black strikers took his place in the team, like dja dje dje, luigi glombard, and a lot of african players with ridiculous names

i'm happy this joke of a club no longer exists

Here's an interview with Maxi from yesterday.
http://www.timesofmalta.com/articles/view/20120115/football/Lopez-eyes-full-impact.402407

From weat I hear, Milan is still interested (after the collapse of the Tevez transfer) and has put a "stop order" on Maxi at least until tomorrow.
Other than that, Fiorentina is very interested. After they let Gilardino go to Genoa they urgently need a striker. However, Amauri seems to be their primary target, Maxi as second.
The article also mentions the German Bundesliga side Wolfsburg, but I don't know the details.

thanks for the news
it's much apreciated, as there is still nothing in french language about maxi , and google only allows me to search news in french language
after reading the 2 articles, it's clear that maxi leaves all door opened
wolfsburg wouldn't be bad
as he said, the number one criteria must be to go to a club that plays champions league

from what ac milan showed yesterday, it's obvious that ac milan need another attacking player (that's what the commentators said, and i agree with them)
so it would be more logical for him to go to ac milan

Dutch striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar of German club Schalke is having an amazing season. He's almost single-handedly keeping Schalke in the title race for the German league. He has 21 goals in 24 games for Schalke in all competitions this season. He plays just as well as for Holland, having been the top scorer in the Euro 2012 qualifiers. Almost every game that I've watched him play, he delivers. He is a lethal finisher and has excellent shooting and heading technique. He doesn't have the best foot skill, so it's important that he gets good service. It's unfortunate how poorly he was treated by Real Madrid and AC Milan, which really set his career back. Real Madrid was not a good move for him because he had to compete against Raul, Higuain, and Ruud to get playing time. At Milan, Klaas was misused, often deployed as a winger, which is crazy because he doesn't have the abilities for that position. Had he not moved to those clubs, he'd have been a legend like van Nistelrooy.

Antonio Di Natale from Italy's Udinese is the most underrated player in the world. He's got 70 goals and 16 assists in his last 84 league games - these are Messi and Ronaldo type of numbers. What's amazing is that Di Natale is now 34 and he's been getting better with age. He's not only a clinical finisher, but has great skills on the ball. I find it hard to understand how he's been stuck with a small club like Udinese when he should be playing for the likes of Barcelona.

it seems like serie A and bundesliga are underrated
these leagues are as competitives as spanish liga and premier league in my opinion

here is the map from wikipedia
the countries in green have 2 teams in the knock out of chammpions league this year
blue=3 teams
yellow=1team

so italy does better than spain and better than england
and germany does the same than these, but they have 1 allowed place less
