Where did your ancestors live?

If you are American, Canadian or Australian, where did your ancestors come from?

Scottish and English. They say there is some royal blood in the gene pool, which means there are relations to all kinds of characters from all over Europe. :)

Everyone has royal blood, royalty had more kids and their wealth meant the kids had a better chance to live to adulthood.

I was born in former Yugoslavia and moved here, to Canada in 1995. I was born in 88 so I would have been 6 at the time. I first lived in Montreal, then Toronto, and now I'm in Calgary for job - related reasons. I speak English perfectly and I'm decent in French too. I am a Canadian citizen.

My family owns land in Quebec and Ive had the pleasure of driving from Quebec to Alberta (in the USA that's like driving from New York to California).

Canada is a beautiful country. Lots of rivers, lakes, forests, prairies and wildlife. I took 10 days to drive from Quebec to Alberta and I loved every second of the drive. Canada is beautiful.

At some point I'd like to live in Vancouver. I've heard there is no winter in Vancouver. Like wow. So when I becone more established financfinancially I think I'll move out to Vancouver.

I have a University Degree, good paying skilled job so another thing I was thinking is to move out to Qatar, Dubai, or Saudi Arabia and do some work there for a few years. I love Middle Eastern culture so I'd love to go.

It'd be an honor to live in Saudi Arabia for a while. I'm very right wing and traditional in my political views so I think I'd fit in well in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

German from Swabia on father's side. Grandfather from Stuttgart and grandmother from tiny village near Reutlingen.

Grandfather on mom's side was born in Poland and grew up in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Grandmother a mutt with English, Irish and German roots. Her family had been in America since mid 1800s.

My brother recently did a family tree. It was interesting to learn more about my long deceased ancestors.

Two of my four grandparents were born in Southern Germany (near the Bavarian Alps) in the late 1940’s and arrived in American as young children.

Another was born in northern Switzerland (at the border with Germany/Austria/Switzerland) near Der Bodensee (also known as “Lake Constance”) and arrived in America as a child in the early 1950’s.

Another is Pennsylvania Deutsch, whose ancestors were Mennonites that immigrated to PA in from southwest Germany sometime in the 1700’s.

My older cousin is obsessed with his heritage. While living in Germany during college several years ago, he researched his/our ancestors (through town records) back to the 1,400’s and found some amazing facts.

If European-Americans were encouraged to extensively research their heritage, I predict there would be a swift rise in the ranks of White Nationalism, White Separatism, White Supremacy, etc.
