is it some of you want to give Carriker more time after two years even though he has done nothing on the field to prove he is a worthy starting DT? Yet you all were ready to run Jimmy Kennedy out of town after one season of being a full time starter?

I know there are a lot of Cornhusker fans out there and the Rams are in the middle of Big XII country.

But I think race plays a factor in some of your reasons just like it did with Brian Leonard. If Brian Leonard wasn't white, I think most of you who backed the pick would of been like the majority of us that hated the pick. But there is something about the "Hard working white guy with a high motor" that some of you relate to. That was the way you were in high school and thus you can relate to him.

Well I think a lot of you that are wanting to give Carriker more time, whether you want to admit or not, are subconsiously using race as a factor into your lienency. He, just like Jimmy Kennedy, has done nothing in two years of being a starter. But like I stated, everyone wanted to run Kennedy out after one year of full time starting in 2006. Everyone labeled him a bust even though he only was a rotation guy in 2004 and 2005. The funny thing is Kennedy and Carriker were both drafted in basically the same spot (Kennedy #12, Carriker #13).

Not trying the stir the pot. But I am just sayin.....

Um, Adam Carriker really DOES need to pick it up. For once, I agree with this DWF.

He had a pathetic 23 tackles and no sacks last season. I realize he's playing for the lowly Rams...but guys like DT Kelly Gregg accrue more tackles than that through 2-3 games! I also realize that he was switched from DE to DT....but there is no excuse for a white defensive player to average a pathetic 1-2 tackles per start.

Carriker has been making about as many plays as the average obese, lazy black DT's we all love to hate. The difference is, Carriker is a really hard worker in the weight room...it just isnt paying off on the field as of yet.

I really, really hope he picks it up this season....because if not, he'll correctly be labeled a bust.

thrasen last year carriker was coming off surgery torpair a damaged shoulder he suffered in the last game of the season the year before Carriker admitted he was at about 75% last season and plau the rams stunk like nothing last year

this year he should after healing from the ankle injury have a good year under spagnuolo

Carriker got the Matt Jones treatment (getting drafted high, then having his position mutated by a racist coach/owner) and it seems to be working out just fine. Perhaps the NFL will call him a bust soon or he will be blackballed for taking a sip of wine.
