In the last minute of the first round you can see Vitali getting more aggressive because he knew Solis was a complete joke. If this fight went the full twelve I see Vitali winning every round after the first. He could tell Solis would only be able to land some weak body shots and almost nothing else.

Solis landed one nice right hand, and one nice left hook, and that was about it. Vitali didn't do a whole lot either, some jabs and a few body shots, caught Gomez with a good left hook on the way in. But as we all know, it was just the first round and Vitali was just getting started. For people to jump the conclusion that Solis would've won the fight just because he did okay in the first round is laughable. Especially considering that Vitali dropped the first round to Hide, Sanders, and Gomez... and then knocked them out!

Like Thrashen said, at least Briggs took his beating and stood in there like a man. I know they claim the leg injury but maybe Solis was scared after the knockdown.

His right leg looked perfectly normal before the punch. After the punch, his left leg gave out, his upper body swayed, his body language and movement completely changed. It's really beyond dispute at this point.

Basically solis run away from Vitali whole round, just like gaye run away from Valuev whole match, only at times he launched himself forward like a missile trying to get Vitali with a lucky punch. Those solis punches did absolutely no damage to Vitali. They were just for show.
What happened here is that solis again tried the same tactic, only this time Vitali was waiting for him at the right distance. When he saw solis launch himself forward, he took a small step behind, making solis miss, and this time Vitali connected with both left and right hand.
Clear KO, the negro's knee was hurt from a Vitali punch. Next negro hope, please.

This fight reminds me of the second time Jerry fought Brian London, an okay British heavy but a stiff compared to Quarry, and knocked him out in two. Asked to assess London, Quarry thought a bit, and the nicest thing he could come up with was "Well, he fell down rather awkwardly."
I guess the same can be said of Solis. Maybe growing up in Cuba with all that communist propoganda left him soft in the head. Now if they fight again Vitali knows just where to hit him.

If Obese Solis was white, he would be punch line on all the sports shows and late night shows ad nausem. I remember when Duane Bobick got blown out in one round by the great Ken Norton. His loss was shown as a bit on SNL. Some past trolls here have shown that YouTube vid as a favorite to illustrate black dominance in boxing.
Today, the MSM and Sports Media are trying its hardest to reheblitate Solis and with a straight face proclaim that he could have "won" if he did not suffer the injury after being KO'd astounding! But not a surprise.
Vitali will only get credit now when Gaye is spread eagle on the mat courtisey of Dr. Ironfist. I see Wlad not recovering from his Ab injury until the end of Summer so that his older brother gets the chance to silence and KO another black hope/dope.

This was a great result for Vitali when considering he's 40.Solis was many peoples favorite for good reason.He's in his prime and beat Haye,Ibragimov,Pulev as an amateur aswell as other noteworthy guys and is by far and away the best Black heavy in the world.Some talk about his weight at 260,but it dos'nt seem to be an issue as he dos'nt look fat and still posesses great handspeed to go along with his technical skills.Haye would never get in the ring with Solis.Solis outpunched and smashed Haye as an amateur stopping him in the 2nd rnd,the videos available on youtube.
