Love live the Klitschko Brothers. Boxing is fun again! It's funny how in tennis, the Williams Sisters are a household name because the media talks about them constantly. They alway tell us, what are the odds of 2 sisters both becoming top stars in tennis? Now ask yourself, why don't they give Vitali and Wladimir the same coverage? It's only obvious. European Men dominate the world in boxing period. The media, and fans are having a tough time dealing with. I love it. I just wish these guys were as well known as Ali and others that came before them. Oh, but to be a white champion these days. The media will ignore you and try to hide you away. Long live Vitali and Wladimir!

Right on white lightning. Can the Williams sisters speak 4 languages? I don't think so. Do they have PHD's? Nope. If the Klitschko's were black we would have some schools and streets named after them.

I think after three more years of kicking ass and the majority of the ones taking the ass kicking are black, the MSM will have to give them their due. I remember Lennox Lewis having the same problem while he was kicking ass. He was much more appreciated once he retired. Larry Holmes also had the problem, the media hated him when he was kicking ass.

If Wlad and Vitali continue to knock out every black hope their greatness will not be denied. Next up is David Haye. After he is crushed I believe the MSM will start to give them credit.

That was a good link. It is nice to see not all the media is brainwashed. As I was watching the fight Atlas said something that I found very offensive to Klitschko. Now at this point I can't remember exactly what he said. I will have to watch the fight again to remember his comment.

JD, that article was one of the best I've read in years. That writer nailed Teddy's personality perfectly....with the exception of mentioning race. He noticed everything I noticed while watching myself. The writer noticed every single disparaging remark made on saturday, and stated the facts (like JC Gomez only being beaten once before).

When all is said and done....why on earth would Teddy, a jewish (but white-looking man) feel this way towards every white boxer? Is he that much of a pure-bred jock-sniffer, or does he simply long for the caste wonderland of thepast 50 years of boxing?

Jewish or not, I just don'tunderstandhis logic. I mean, what's in it for him to favor one race of fighter and degrade the other? He's retired as both a boxer and a trainer.

Nevertheless, it's been hilarious to watch him squirm as one title after another falls into our hands. You're caste barriers are crumbling, Teddy-boy, you better get used to it.Edited by: Thrashen

Why is it people always say about the weak state of the Heavyweight division now?

It's because the Klitshckos are not fighting the USA that's why.

Wlad has fought in America. He fought Brock and Ibragimov in MSG. Perhaps if they had lived here for several years they would have been "adopted" by now. That happens. Like they and Abraham have been adopted in Germany, and Bute has been adopted in Canada, and Adamek is now being adopted in New Jersey. Now, if they were from America, that would have really helped. Or if they were a part of a group that loves boxing and passionately roots for their own. That could be a particular nationality (Irish, Italian, Mexican, Puerto Rican, British, Filipino, etc.) Or it could be where a fighter is from (New York City, Southern California, Youngstown.)

There just aren't enough Ukrainian-Americans to root for K2. Of course they have some White fans like us, and some fans who only care about good fighters and good fights, regardless of nationality, geography, or ethnicity. But clearly there aren't enough fans in either category to make them a big thing here. If K2 were Irish-American brothers from New York City, or Mexican immmigrants living in Los Angeles, or from Youngstown like Pavlik, or whatever, they would be much, much more popular.

They have actually fought in the USA several times before, when they were not as famous and champions as they are now. Their most recent fights have been in Germany itself. Wlad's last fight in the USA was full of BOO's, when he fought a very intimidated Ibragimov. Vitali's last fight in the USA was 4 years ago.

Never before has boxing had a heavyweight champion that rarely fights in the USA. I bet that 70% in the USA have no idea who the Klitschkos are, even though I myself am very proud of them. It's bias I tell you, if they were African brothers, the media would drool over them, and they would quickly base them themselves on US soil.

The US boxing media is in absolute denial state, because after years of seeing black after black grace the HW spotlight, whites have suddenly owned the division in the last 3-4 years. It's like their dream world has been shattered, and rudely been awaken to reality. The reality that whites dominate boxing, that boxing has GREAT WHITE CHAMPS!!!!!Edited by: j41181

There's an excellent article on boxingscene today about the Teddy Atlas commentary:

Opinion Gets in the Way of Analysis
That article is just brilliant, it brings to light the reality that many boxing commentators (except Brian Kenney) just hate the Klitschkos, or any other white boxing champion. Take that Teddy!!!

Vitali can be champion at least for several more years. There is no fighter that is even close to his skill level. He made the fight with Gomez(who is a good fighter himself) look like a sparring session. He is getting old which is a bit of a downfall. After watching this fight I must add Vitali is still better than Wlad. While I know Wlad would beat Gomez I believe it wouldn't be so easy for him as Vitali had it.Edited by: whiteathlete33

I agree, I still think Vitali is the better of the two. His boxing skills is nothing short of phenomenal.

About 5 years ago Vitali was way more skilled than Wladimir. It is evident that Wladimir has closed the gap alot. Vitali, however, truly is in a class of his own. The shame in all of this is that injuries cost Vitali 4 years of his career.

Yes, and he has to take 50% of the blame for that dreadful fight. He could've pushed the action more.

Absolutely. There's an obsession with black athletes, regardless of nationality, that cannot be denied. But I stand by what I wrote. If K2 were Italian-American or Irish-American brothers from New York City or elsewhere in the States, they would be doing very well for themselves here. Even with that wicked white skin they've been cursed with.

Does anyone recall how excited Atlas was during the first round when Gomez had some success against Vitali? I thought he was going to jump out of his seat. He wanted another "bruva" to be champion. Then his mission would be accomplished.
