As Yogi would say, it's deja vu all over again.

Hey, you gotta feel for the media caste clowns. Think how tough it's been on them this season with one White quarterback after another playing great.

its just amazing to me how well everyone here knows the things announcers will be saying, like its from a script. Why isn't peyton manning or drew brees ever described as "just winning"?

I feel like "Vince Young just wins" is code for "he's not good, but since he's the QB, we'll give him all the credit for the Titan's win".

They don't say for the other guys. Because if they put up numbers like him people would be wondering why he started even if he won.....

Vince Young did play well, but talk about over-compensating by Jon Gruden. I'm not saying that Matt didn't, but I don't remember Schuab getting any praise. Gruden was selling Vince hard. It sounded like he was practically jerking off over him.

During the Nov 22 Texans-Titans pregame Jon Gruden said, talking about the Titans coach or maybe it was the offensive coordinator "has adjusted his entire playbook to cater to the explosive Vince Young."

I couldn't remember the exact wording but I think it was Gruden again who said "and it's no surprise he[Chris Johnson]'s playing better since vince young is in the starting line up."

Gruden called VY a "genetic freak," and a "rock star" who "lit it up as a rookie." And while they were showing Vince's dash said something about "be careful he might run through your living room" (not exact wording)

During the game one of the other commentators said "a big play to the athletic tight end" talking about a catch Texans James Casey made.

Gruden: "Yeah, but who's covering Casey?" and continued to talk about the defence not covering/being where they supposed to be.

Later on in the game, a catch was made by a Titans receiver, who was similarly about as wide open as Casey was, and Gruden commented "what a spectacular throw by Vince Young."

Gruden was nice enough to say that "Cushing is a legitamate rookie defensive player of the year" though.

In spite of his hamstring injury, it looks like "Radio" will start this Sunday for the Titans. This from Rotoworld:
Vince Young (hamstring) is likely to start Sunday, according to the Nashville Tennessean.

<DIV =s_pNewsTextMain>Young didn't practice Wednesday, but coach Jeff Fisher walked by the media and gave a thumbs up while Young was being interviewed. Young told Chris Johnson that he is going to play and the Titans are likely just playing it safe.
<DIV =s_pNewsTextMain>I guess we can chalk up another victory for the Titans, since they will have Vince "He just win game" Young at the helm!

Oh boy! Looks like we are in for more antics from AHDIW. I can't wait to watch what Radio does next. After his last episode on the sidelines, post turn over, he acted as if run over by the sunset limited and then inexplicably ran onto the field when the Titans got the ball back.

No doubt All He Do Is Win (AHDIW) may be running out of excuses for dumb ass mistakes. Perhaps this week when he turns the ball over, he'll pretend to go into labor, complete with bloody afterbirth.

I think we should start a contest to guess what injury or excuses he feigns during the rest of the season.Edited by: WHITE NOISE

Wow, Radio stayed in for the entire game and accounted for a whopping 89 yards passing, with two interceptions and a fumble to lead his team out of the playoffs.

Wow Vince Young the MVP and thought we had an agenda on this web site. Young is a dumbed down version of what the least talented white QB is asked to do not lose games period. He has athletic ability because he runs when his 1st read is not totally wide open. He can't stand in the pocket and make all the throws, and yet some dumb a'' writer wants to make him the MVP. Hell for that matter Raheem Morris should be coach of the year. I mean winning 2 games in your 1st year should warrant that distinction.

Some halfway fairly decent comments on that article for once. I especially like the ones that refer to the writer as being drunk. Other than blind stupidity or outright pandering to Radio because he is black, there is nothing else to even explain why Vince Young would even be considered a in the same breath as the words legitimate MVP.

In relation to KP's comment, For the life of me, I can't see how more DWF's don't see the hypocritical bias in relation to black QB's. There is definitely a double standard when it comes to defining playing well when it comes to Black black quarterbacks and White Quarterbacks. Mere game management, no matter how many yards a White QB puts up dinking and dunking safe passes is never good enough to warrant praise by the caste media. White QB's have to be franchise caliber players, not make mistakes while surgically taking apart defenses and effectively win games with their arms by being able to make tough throws to get praise. If not, they just managed the game good enough for their team not to lose. This is a totally legitimate critique in my opinion at the NFL level. It is supposed to be the best of the best players, but the problem is that the same critique doesn't apply to black quarterbacks, where any modicum of success is shown as them somehow not managing a game, but being solely responsible for the team winning. It is undoubtedly the single biggest double standard in professional sports journalism.

Oh now I get it the mere fact that Radio stepped on to an NFL playing field as a black quarterback means he already played well, and quite possibly already have won the game. Geez what am I thinking.

Goes to show just how dishonest those weasels are. Damn, I'm sick of these clowns.Radio played like crap! An 11.9 QB rating and he played well? The sports media is filled with liars.

Rivers made him look like a fish out of water. He was fantastic and has played like a true MVP candidate all year. Yet, his name is barely mentioned.

Agree last week was a horrible game, but didn't he have a hamstring injury? Young has always been a good scrambling threat, but this was the first year he showcased some consistency throwing the ball for a longer stretch of games and looked like a QB that could win a playoff game or two with the Titans. We'll get to see next year, if he has multiple games like the horrible game in week 16.

Bart, I hope you don't get on me b/c I'm not being Pro Vince. I realize the ridiculous over hyping of black QBs. In a 75% white country (8 of the top 10 dual threat QBs were black/ 3 of the top 10 Pro-Style and nearly half in the White Rivals.com 250 were black). But I have no interest in strongly rooting against Young if he shows he can help the Titans win and doesn't do or say scum bag things like Terrell Pryor. I try to be as fair as I can evaluating players so people take my analysis seriously. But I'll agree with you guys that the love fest on black QBs in the media is ridiculous- a 11.9 QB rating is a good game? At least Rush Limbaugh was honest, but you see what honesty gets you in the world of sports.

Tough,

he always "has an injury" if he plays poorly. that's the company line, anyway. somehow his "injury" doesn't keep him from celebrating or running around prior to the mistake ... it only magically appears if he screws up yet again. THEN the limp appears, and he pretends to writhe in agony until it's time to go back on the field ... whereupon he trots out with nary a visible symptom, and plays without a limp until, you guessed it, he screws up again.

the AHDIW circle of life!

Anyone who thinks that AHDIW won all those games for the Titans is an idiot. Just look at how much better the bruvas play for a black qb. Kinda makes you think doesn't it?

Not sure what AHDIW is. But to comment on what you said, we all know Vince Young is not the sharpest tool in the shed and has a low EQ as well (a few fries short of a happy meal? lol). I was just giving him credit for playing pretty well for a large stretch of this season.

The Titans did take him out of that game in the snow where he started off great due to injury and then Collins came in and played great as well. I won't root for him getting benched as long as he doesn't go back to privileged black quarterback status like Jamarcus. He's no Einstein of QBs, but he's not someone to hate on like say a Terrell "spit in your face- thug lover" Pryor (just my opinion). Bottom line is we all cheer for underdog victims of the caste system here (mostly white), but who we root AGAINST is up to us.

BTW, it's actually funny to see the Vince Sanity sagas, it's like WWE stuff. As much as it can be troubling, I am actually laughing at some of the irrational media love fest on Young, like his 11.9 QB rating being a "good performance" hahaha might actually wake some DWFs up. I wouldn't be surprised if he fakes injuries since he proved he couldn't handle being booed and hated on for bad performance last year. It's a funny excuse and harmless unlike Vick saying "I made my Pit Bulls kill each other because they bite me".

Some of the scenarios Young wins by are very close calls. Stuff like a missed kick by the Houston kicker is common. I'm waiting to see Vince win a game with a 11.9 QB rating with 70 yards passing by running for 100 yards and Chris Johnson "the best back in the league" running for 200.

In fairness he did show capable signs as a passer this season other than a couple lousy games. Maybe supernatural forces are aligning behind Vince Young to win games. If Vince Young wins a Superbowl with the statistics I mention, I might believe bigunreal's motto that these games are fixed to fit the agenda (in this case for running black QBs) or maybe simply powers up above are behind Vince AHDIW.

The way the Titans were winning games this season was similar to the way they were doing it in Young's first two years -- good defense (which was terrible while Collins was starting earlier in the season), great pass protection, and a strong running game.
Tennessee was a .500 team with Young at the helm before the wheels came off, and the same phenomenon repeated itself again this year after his teammates' initial "thrill" of having him back wore off. Just imagine what he'd be like on a team with a bad line, or one that didn't boast the only black running back capable of busting off long runs on a regular basis. Like the Falcons with Vick, the Titans are doomed to mediocrity at best with AHDIW as their "general."Edited by: Don Wassall

I agree with you Don. I think I could surely find 10 CURRENT "starting" white QBs that I'd take as a GM over Young and I might name them tomorrow. But we see who gets all the love. My gosh Drew Brees barely gets any endorsement deals and he's an absolute phenom. I bet you Young will soon again get more endorsement deals than Phillip Rivers and Drew Brees who are in bigger markets and better QBs than Young but lack black skin.

ToughJ.Riggins,

Yes to everything you say, but in the end, Young'll never win anything.
He'll always be just a run of the mill QB at best. Young has problems with staying healthy and, I think problems with his overall attitude. Quite the opposite of this "he just wins" baloney, he's more of a loser to me.

Brees and Rivers and many other White QB's will continue to win everything in sight to the dismay of all the people who want to keep the myth of black superiority alive.

So Young had a good season. Actually it was half a season because Collins played some games. Big deal. I guarantee next season if he is the starter he will come back down to earth.

Young had a good season?

the only way to say that Young had a good season is by adding the qualifier, "for him."

as in, "Young had a good season, for him,"because for the first time in his NFL career, he threw more touchdowns than interceptions.

but a good season? hardly. in 12 games (10 starts), he threw a "whopping" 10 touchdowns, while he managed to only throw 7 interceptions. he completed well under 60% of his passes (58.7), took 9 sacks, and fumbled 8 times.

compare his completion rate, even though he throws nearly all short, dink and dunk passes, to those of somereal NFL quarterbacks: Matt Schaub 67.9%, Peyton Manning 68.8%, Tony Romo 63.1%, Aaron Rodgers 64.7%, Tom Brady 65.7%, Drew Brees 70.6%, Ben Roethlisberger 66.6%, Philip Rivers 65.2%, Brett Favre 68.4%, or even the "horrible" Kyle Orton at 62.1%.

using any compliments regardingVince Youngbeing a decent NFL quarterback would simply be untrue. and Tough, if you couldn't find 10 non-starting White quarterbacks who are better than Young, i'd be disappointed in your evaluation.

in all seriousness, for Young supporters his numbers honestly don't appear to matter, because AHDIW ... by handing off to the best running game in the league from behind one of the elite offensive lines. but of course if i remember correctly, isn't that what got Trent Dilfer cut after winning the Super Bowl?
