I was rooting for Lesnar all the way but in this case I'm not overly disappointed. At least Lesnar didn't lose to an afflete. If that had been the case the media would have their next "star" in MMA.

Marty Morgan is just one of his trainers, hes got 3 other experienced MMA coaches, Erik Paulson, Greg Nelson, and Caprito something ( BJJ expert).

Brock took him down, which was 100% perfect, he just let cain back up again. Twice. A fatal failure in this fight.

In the striking game, Brock was lost, no chance.
Brock is a one trick pony, take down and G&P.

He already lost to Carwin imo, Carwin had him basicly KOd but the ref didnt stop it.

Carwin has good chances to beat Cain, hes got beastly punching power.

Fedor would still destroy anyone in the UFC. Believe me. Fedor is violence on a whole other level.

Can't wait to see him fight again. Assuming he does, does anyone know which organization it will likely be with? Thank you for any reply.

TO DWFan: Fedor has one fight left in Strikeforce and then his contract is up. After that who knows.

To Chris: Marty Morgan runs the show and he does not know sh*t about MMA.Paulson is a grappler not a striking coach. The Brazilian guy Caprito and Greg Nelson are not in the picture anymore.

To Moose: Why is morgan the coach? Because he is Lesnar's friend.

All in all a disgraceful performance. Lesnar better take 6 months off and learn to box. Maybe Mike Tyson is looking for some work. And Brock needs to start working off his back exclusively. That's what I did when I did Jiu-Jitsu.

If Carwin is to beat the Mexican he better get a gas tank.

If you want to learn to box go to prison, because that is the only place in America where they give you boxing lessons for free, and pretty good lessons too.

There are way more white Americans suceeding in MMA than in boxing. The best white American in boxing has a thing for little girls. The last white undisputed american champ was Marciano. While brock is a powerful wrestler, He is by no means the greatest. Cole Konrad was a better pure wrestler but, not a good striker. I would like to see how Mark Ellis and Jared Rosholt preform next. As for Cain I think he might be the best heavyweight out there, he did a better job on Nog than Fedor, but he does have some holes in his striking.

I don't think Lesnar will rebound from this one, considering his age (33 years) and inexperience (3 years) in the MMA. The beatdown and injuries he suffered against Cain was just so intense, it'll take him a year or 2 to recover from it.

I find the Mexican (or any Non-White) Pride thing so overblown, it's an insult what it means to be an American. Is the USA simply just a 2ND COUNTRY or BUFFER NATION?

You're proud to be of Mexican (or any 3rd Wolder) heritage, and NOT CARE what makes the USA the special country that it is. Proud of a 3rd World Country that is riddled with drugs, crime, and corruptions.Edited by: j41181

To Hawkeye: Velasquez got Nog way past his prime. And these Midwest White wretlers are going to get dusted unless they learn to box. The modern day Martial Artist is too well rounded.

I just didn't like the way Lesnar was moved to the head of the line, based on I guess his name and his looks. Had he started earlier and paid more dues learning how to actually fight, who knows? Having a guy with just a couple fights considered champion material does a Kimbo Slice on the credibility of the sport. MMA seems to have stalled out a bit after its explosive growth the last few years.

Brock did look a bit mushy. Perhaps he still can't eat solid food with his colitis symtoms, who knows. I think he is simply too big frame wise to keep up with the likes of Brown Turd in the cardio.

Turd was throwing down punches very naturally, like he was picking strawberries. And as everyone knows, Mexicans can work all day doing manual labor in this fashion.

Maybe Lesnar should go to southern California and train by working the fruit and vegetable fields with a family of migrant laborers.

Mariusz Pudzianowski, in my opinion, is the best athlete to ever fight in MMA. His loss to Tim Sylvia is upsetting to say, at the very least. I am hoping he can pull himself together and dominate the heavyweight division. While I don't expect him to have the success of the K brothers in boxing, he can be very good. I think it's just a matter of time.

Yes, he was instantly thrust into the spotlight. After getting submitted by Mir, he won a decision against Heath Herring, a guy with an astonishingly awful 14 career losses.

Then, for whatever insane reason, he was allowed to fight an aging Couture and won the championship.

MMA politics are ridiculous.

Fedor would indeed crush every member of the UFC heavyweight roster.Edited by: Thrashen

I hope he does. Any chance he'll enter the UFC?

Fedor will NEVER fight in the UFC. Do you really think Dana would bring in someone who could beat their Mexican. Lesnar just needs to shave that ridiculous beard and then start taking his striking seroiously. He needs to start working the clinch better and using his knees. He also needs to learn to fight off of his back. I think Lesnar will fight a couple of more times and then retire. He is not a serious fighter.

I'm sure Dana would love to bring Fedor in if the agreement suited him. He is, after all, a major star.

Brock not a serious fighter? Ha. Say that to his face.

C'mon Howard. Aren't you the same guy who started the "Brock Lesnar: Greatest Heavyweight in the World" thread. Now, you've been killing the guy since his loss to Mud Pride. So, I looked back through the posts and saw that you bet the fight. Nothing like losing some money to make you pissed at a fighter. I feel you though, Lesnar really disappointed.

Honestly, you guys need to stop crying. Just watch a bit of boxing. Wladimir Tomasz, Vitali, Pirog, and Abraham are just a few of the names you need to know. By the way, King Arthur will be champ real soon.

TO Iscept: I started the thread about Lesnar because I felt he was'nt getting any respect. I wrote what I wrote because I assumed he was taking his training seriously. It's obvious he is'nt and he needs to bring in strikers. Preferably guys with a Muay Thai background so he can learn to use knees and elbows. So I'm calling a Mulligan on the thread because he isn't training right. If he was smart he would hire me as his coach. I could do beTter than Marty Morgan. Morgan is a wrestler, they normally don't make good MMA coaches.

***My "half-cent"....
- Brock underestimated Velasquez because he's (Lesnar) bigger, stronger & more athletic. However, as ya'll alluded to...Brock's overly focused on grappling & doesn't have top tier striking coaches. He trains at Deathclutch in MN where he's the top dog in camp (w/ guys like Madsen & Chris Tuscherer & Pat Barry). He needs to find some world class level MTKB striking coaches & top flight camp.
- IMO, Carwin has heavier hands than Lesnar or Mud...and would/will KO Cain (if Shane's cardio is improved). Lucky for Velasquez, Shane had to extract from his fight w/ Roy Nelson due to back issues (& may need surgery).

Dixie, I was saying the same thing as you. Lesnar needs MTKB! Marty Morgan don't know sh*t about striking, he is a wrestler. But then again maybe Lesnar is too hard headed to learn striking.

He is way too muscular to be anything more than proficient as a striker. Punchers are built along the line of Velasquez. Ie have small chests and non developed lats. If you look at boxers, even heavyweights they have flat chests and more tapered backs than wrestlers. I'm not sure he can transform his body to be a striker and still be Brock. The last ground and pounder that dominated MMA was Matt Hughes. Hughes only fought at 170 so the stamina issues that heavyweight ground and pounders have had over the years never came into play in that instance. Edited by: white is right
