I couldn't stand watching as AC Milan kept putting on black after black. They had Ziang out there who the commentator said just had trials at Arsenal and Tottenham, but was not signed and now he plays for AC Milan in the CL. It was bad enough with players like Gullit, Riijkard, Weah, Seedorf, but now Milan are a joke.
and in the last minutes, bakaye traore came in!
he played in ligue 2 and then at nancy a bottom placed ligue 1 club
they finisged the match with 6 blacks :alien:
I agree with Phall. Barcelona holds the ball too much some times. Maybe defenses pack it in and they have to, but they almost run a four corner offense like college basketball teams did when there was no shot clock. It's not that extreme, but they are frustrating to watch.
i'm not the biggest fan of the way barcelona plays, but like phall also said, this was a match played away, they were just trying to keep the ball to prevent AC milan from scoring
Wilshere was called for a handball on a cross against Brazil even though it was accidental and way away from the goal. I don't know if he should have been.
If it's an accidental handball and leads to a goal should it be called? According to Matra it should be called.Suarez had one for Liverpool early in the season and they let it stand. A lot of you guys have watched soccer much longer than me, so I defer to you.
I think even an accidental handball against the defense should be called if it is really close to the goal and especially if it leads to a goal.
i have heard many professional referees about this problem over the years
the handball has to be intentional, but you see very few really intentional handballs
so the referees give a penalty even if the handball was unintentional, as long as the defender has his arms in an "unnatural position"
i don't like this rule because very often penalty is called for big teams, and not called for smaller teams
and in football an unnatural position of the arm is defined as having the arms away from the body, like this for example:
while a handball with arms in this position won't be called:

the reason why i think it's unfair is because in soccer you need your arms to get perfect balance, and a striker can intentionally shoot in your arm to get a penalty
BUT, in AC milan's case, the player had the arms in the air like this:
so the arms position was clearly unnatural, the handball should have been called
and i'm talking about defensive handballs
if this handball was done in the penalty area it should have been a penalty (they don't give a yellow card though, while they give it if the handball is really intentional)
but there the handball was done in the other team's penalty area, so taking the decision of calling the handball would have had less dramatic consequences than giving a penalty, so the referee had no excuse for not calling it
the fact that clearly, the handball led to the goal, like matra said, should also be taken into account, while sometimes you do a small handball that doesn't help you to score
