so now the groupstages of the champions league are over, here are the qualified teams for the 8th of finals:
the countries that had the most qualified clubs:
a few comments from a racial point of view:
all the
german clubs (3 out of 3) qualified
(but i don't like bayern munchen's defence - boateng got a really dumb red card in tha latest match, this while badstuber is injuried, so they don't know who will play the next champions league match)
it's nice that dortmund focused on champions league this year, their results compared to last year are impossible to understand if you don't take into account the few players they have on the squad and the focus they put either on the german league or on the champions league
they are the surprise of the season, with 10 white starters out of 11
all the
spanish clubs qualified too (4 out of 4)
malaga with 9 white starters looked impressive (i warned you!)
they are one of the best teams in europe regarding the results, but their group was easy
the german and the spanish league happens to be, coincidentally, the whitest leagues in europe
the italian league is declining, but their clubs qualified because the italian teams are experienced and they have a winning mentality
the italian league is also one of the whitest in europe (juventus torino for example has 9-10 white starters out of 11)
you can see how white serie A is comppared to premiere league and ligue 1 by comparing the data on this forum
and then there are the disapointing countries: the blackest leagues in europe, england and france, had disapointing results
in france, only PSG looked like they belong in the champions league (with only 2 black starters usually and 7-8 whites, the whitest team in france, where more than 50% of the starters are blacks)
in
england, only 2 teams out of 4 qualified
once again, manchester city was disapointing, and they were exposed for having a bad defence
the key match was that defeat in holland against the weak club ajax, where they pretty much lost all hopes of qualifying
in that match, mancini inexplicably started an all-black defense with clichy, lescott, kompany and richards (!)
this is a disgrace and in champions league you get punished when you do this, mancini deserves to be fired for this
ajax won 3-1
manchester united was in an easy group
chelsea were unlucky because they were in a thought group, but the key momment was when they let juventus score against them and get a draw, while they should have won that match
the goal was because of the black defensive middlefielder obi mikel:

arsenal qualified easily in a relatively easy group
as usual, the teams from manchester, who dominate the premiere league, looked unimpressive in champions league, especially their defence, while in premiere league manchester city have the least goals scored against them!
at this point, i stoped trying to understand premiere league, i have to accept that they just play very differently than in the other leagues
but in champions league you get punished if you have a bad defence because there are many brazilian players on the smaller teams who will score against you, and ofcourse there are the top teams from the other leagues who have top players and come prepared
the darkening
russian clubs are all out, and zenith's case is the most interesting
last year they qualified and lost narrowly to benfica
this season they bought 2 non-white "stars" (witsel especiall is so over rated), which caused many problems, and their team exploded:

here is hulk not happy at all with being in zenith, refusing to shake the coach's hand:
the smaller teams (with less money) pretty much all qualified because of their brazilian or south american players (porto for example, or donetsk - they also have white defenders, a very dangerous team)
except celtic and galatasaray, who will be the weakest teams in the round of 16, and managed to kick benfica , cluj and braga out
braga and cluj had less south americans than before but still many
benfica were unlucky but credit goes to celtic for beating barcelona in that group
